jaz: Hey, you busy tonight? jaz: Sion's been missing you. Her words not mine.
"You liked it in bed the other night?" They feigned a sadness to their question, dramatizing a pout, "And you called me Mustang. Made me feel special." Viktor batted their eyelashes before giving away their theatrics with a sharp grin - it lacked warmth, but they'd never been a particularly warm person to begin with. Maybe he hadn't been held enough as a child. They stretched out as Jaz stood before following him to the room. "My dad's the fucking - town pastor, is that not enough reason alone? I can recite hymns on a fucking whim. When I was ten - I almost got fucking, exorcised." Granted - they were chanting Latin and crawling backwards down the pews, spitting out the mouthful of vegetable soup they'd drank moments prior. The whole works, except for the head-spinning. Viktor would've maybe exorcised himself too. "I'm the only one in my family who wasn't baptized - cos I bit the priest doing it."
"You know, I think there's a somewhat of new therapist in town to help with all of these delusions you seem to have." Jaz said, raising an eyebrow at Viktor's made-up statements and declarations. He began to arm his gun and set up his small table with everything he'd need for the short session. Ink, gloves, etc, etc. "You want me to freestyle it on your skin?" he asked, truly trusting in his abilities to do a fantastic job despite not having a stencil but figure he'd ask anyways. "That sounds a bit aggressive, Viktor. Doesn't that put like an enormous amount of stress on the human body? I swear it was against the law or some shit." he commented, not really knowing much about the practice or the church in general. Jaziel clicked his tongue before laughing, "Biting the holy men? No wonder they had to exorcise you."
Rosie nods, and although Jaziel is doing a very good job at trying to spin the iconic tramp stamp tattoo as something worthwhile, she's still not convinced, lingering on the fence about what she wants. "Well... don't put too much thought into it. I don't know if I can commit to actually getting it done. I feel like I'd maybe have gotten something when I was in my 20s and still super carefree and young." She was still carefree, and somewhat young. "But now, I feel like I'm too old for it, you know? Plus, needles freak me out a little."
Jaziel chuckled at her words, finding it a bit odd that she didn't seem to consider herself young. "You make it sound like you're in your fifties and yet you don't look a day over thirty." he replied paying her a small complement. Tattooing was his life though, so he found a sense of beauty and individuality in it that other people didn't. It wasn't for everyone, and for something so permanent he found it a good thing that she was questioning it. "The needles aren't too bad. It's a bit more mental than anything else. The discomfort of knowing there's something just poking at your skin and not being able to swat it off."

"Sion!" Gabe yelled - but for a much different reason than Jaziel's - a grin spread across their face as they dipped down and picked their niece up, spinning her around. With what had happened just hours prior - Gabe felt especially conscious around Jaziel; the guilt of knowing they're leaving the shop practically eating him up. He didn't want to disappoint Jaz, or trigger another fight between them - especially now. He just wanted to be with his family; grateful that it weren't their names spoken from Catherine Grave's mouth. "Hey - Jaz," It felt awkward leaving their mouth - but they didn't let their smile falter, putting Sion down after they've spun long enough. "How's - how's it hanging? How're you doing?" They'd called out pretty much every day that week, and the week before; a ghost in the shop, their belongings slowly but surely making their way out of the parlor. Maybe Jaz hadn't noticed - for once, Gabe wished that he hadn't.
Gabriel was lucky. Lucky that Sion was in between them. Lucky that Jaziel wouldn't start a scene with her present. Just overall lucky. "Could be better." he began, turning his gaze away from his sibling. "Had to fill in some time, since you haven't been showing up to work lately. I'm glad to see you're not hurt, or sick, or handicapped in someway. Could have fulled me." Being someone who's enamored with his work meant that he'd do just about anything to master his craft and put in the work. Jaziel didn't really understand Gabriel's decisions to put all of their hobbies above something that they clearly loved. Tattooing was one thing that the siblings had in common, but after their last argument it seemed that Gabriel just wanted to keep putting distance between them in any way that they could. Leaving the parlor being their newest party trick. Jaz didn't get how Gabriel expected him to understand them in any way when all they did was find ways to fuck themselves over? "What have you been up to?"

"Do you think it's someone new or the mysterious second killer we collectively pretend doesn't exist?" He mumbled out the question, playing around with the glass in his hand. "Just when you think it can't get worse somehow it does."
"Seems like the latter. Who else would have so much hated for Jake or his family?" Jaziel had thought about it for a while that morning, and it made perfect sense. "Jake killed Adee, and whoever was in cahoots with her seems to finally be stepping up and taking revenge against him through his mom. Who's to say Charlotte and Sarah won't be next?. . . it's the only thing that makes sense as scary as it sounds." Jaz didn't for a moment believe that the murders were done with Adee's demise. Despite the silence since, none of the evidence lined up to it being just her, and there was nothing pointing at Jacob either.
juniper: that's what you think juniper: yet someone still doesnt have their wallet juniper: [...] juniper: ill go nick a cowbell off of that one weird farm guy's land im tempted now tbh
Jaz: Ima need you to drop that wallet off at the shop first thing in the morning. Jaz: So much for staying out of trouble. Isn't that dude a butcher too? You wanna end up filleted at some quick-mart?
He'd seen Jaziel at the gym a few times, and while Kyle didn't really care for the guy, he wasn't going to make a fuss about something that didn't matter. Every time they'd spoken, a certain woman tended to come up, and he had no interest in having that happen again. So he remains cordial, nodding his head to the other's request. "Sure," he responds, making his way behind the bench press. "Let me know when you're ready."
Nodding a thanks, Jaziel lead them towards the equipment picking up some weights to set on the bar. Satisfied with the weight, he clipped the ends to secure the bar in place and took his spot on the bench. "Alright." he tells him, fixing his powdered hands on the bar. "What's your take on that new murder?" Jaz asked before he began to lift, trying to fill the silence between the two.

Jaz has spent the last hour switching between the ropes, and the treadmill trying to clear out his head. Working out wore him out enough that he had no time to think about anything other than the ache and sleep. "Hey, bro." Jaziel said approaching Kyle after having had already looked around two or three times to make sure he had no other options. "Can you spot me?" he asked and motioned towards the bench press.
juniper: [...] juniper: do u even know where ur wallet is rn lol juniper: thanks for the mcdonalds jazzy<3
Jaz: Out of all things you could have gone for Mcdonalds was your way to splurge? Tell me you're broke without telling me you're broke. Jaz: I'm going to put a cowbell on you
They grinned coyly, "How'd you know? Only your soft touch can soothe me, Jazi-kins." Viktor dropped his shirt in order to press a hand to their chest soulfully, "I'm not going to fucking - ask you to etch out the burning Notre Dame across my skin or some shit - actually? I'm saving that for a tramp stamp. I've got the fucking - back for it." They knew how irritated artists got when others invaded their space - or maybe that was just Viktor, forever fickle when it came to their art and their space - but either way they hadn't cared now, pulling up a stool and reaching over to flip over a page in Jaz's sketchbook - drawing a shitty church and a shitty fire over it. "Like fucking - doodle style. Nothing serious, no shading. I just want to make sure I'm going to fucking - burn if I cross a church's threshold."
"Don't ever call me that again," Jaziel said barking out a laugh and shaking his head in disproval. "I don't put anything past you, Viktor. You should know this by now." He grunted as Viktor reached for his sketchbook, but did nothing to stop them. Jaz wasn't to anal with unfinished projects, and that notebook had nothing more than potential ideas and forgotten tattoos he planned on getting himself or was merely bored and sketched out. "Alrighty, let's head into the room then." Jaz responded, closing the sketchbook and getting up. "I don't think that's exactly how it works, but if it's that simple I'm sure you already got a reserved spot in hell just for thinking about it. What's with the fascination? What'd the church do to you?"
Rosie nodded, figuring that it made sense. In all honesty, she probably wouldn't get a tattoo anytime soon, because she'd never truly be certain about what she wanted. She liked to think she was more adventurous than she really was. "I guess you're right. I don't know how much fat I have on my wrists though, I'd probably have to go for my thighs or something," she comments, glancing down before looking back at Jaziel. "What about tramp stamps? I actually hear that's a lot of girl's first tattoos. You know, the classic lower back butterfly."
"That's also a very good option. Lower back tattoo's used to be very popular back in the day among women." he agreed, pulling out a binder from a shelf behind him with tattoo ideas. "It can be tracked all the way back to the ancient Eqgyption women. I have a good collection of that I've done. See if anything sparks interest." Jaziel never did the same tattoo twice. Those he usually left for the other artists who were still getting the hang of their art. "There's a couple of butterflies there, a lot of flowers, texts, but I can make you one more unique to you."
"Whatever. I need a break anyway," she said with a grin, obviously satisfied with how she'd been doing thus far. "And maybe you should take one, too. That looked like it hurt," a teasing grin on Vera's face as she slides one of the gloves off—fitting it underneath her arm before grabbing her water.
Jaziel gave her a funny look before pretending to be offended, "Hurt? Who? Not I." he placed a hand over his chest, as he moved towards his water, "You must be mistaken. I was merely trying to motivate. Those puny fists would never hurt these muscles." He laughed before taking a sip of his drink. "Nah, you had a good hook there. Almost took my breath out."

It was normal for Jaziel to find himself at four in the afternoon out on the town with his daughter. He made sure to leave work early each day and spend as much time with her as he could, specially while she's so small. Perhaps it was the guilt of being her only living parent, and being scared that one day she'd feel like she was missing something or lacking the attention she so deserved. He never complained, but as she got older things became so much harder for him to handle. Made him miss Anna even more. It took two seconds of him lost in though before he noticed Sion running towards someone, and he sprinted off the bench. "Sion!" he yelled before noticing who she ran towards, "Gabriel." Jaz said after his heart attacked retrieved.
