This years Christmas treats for work colleagues. There’s a little balloon LED wedged between the cookie layers.
Snickerdoodle cookies and a strawberry, lime and raspberry layered cheesecake.
I used extra white chocolate to set the cheesecake rather than gelatine to cater to vegetarians.
Snickers cake with cheesecake centre. A friend loves snickers and cheesecake, so I made a snickers cake with a layer of chocolate snickers cheesecake in the middle.
Jelly cakes made with lime jelly for St. Patrick’s Day.
Choc orange cupcakes ready for my colleagues for Valentine’s Day. 😊 Any excuse to bake will do. 😉
The cake I made for my sister’s wedding. It weighed over 14kg without the topper, took 4 days to complete and got rave reviews from the guests for how it looked and tasted because the cakes were super moist.
This year’s edible mini-gift for my coworkers.
I had left over cream cheese frosting after my last test cake and I didn’t want it to go to waste. So naturally I decided to make a carrot cake.
Another test cake for my sisters wedding. The large shells were moulded using food grade putty. The top will actually have a cake topper.
Practice cake in preparation for my sisters wedding. Not a bad first effort of draping. There’ll be a bunch of extra detail on the actual cake and it’ll have proper decorations rather than just Lindt balls - plus it’ll be smoother (the sadness of not having my fondant smoother here)!
Red velvet cupcakes ready to take to work. I’ve never made red velvet before, so this is good practice for my sisters wedding cake next year.
I made a pavlova to share some Aussie culture with my US workmates.
After procuring some golden syrup I made some ANZAC biscuits to share with my new colleagues. The toys around the outside are koalas.
This year’s hot cross buns! Yummy!! 🐰
Old fashioned fudge. I made this when I realised I used too much butter (twice as much) when making clinker slice. I added an extra tin of condensed milk and then kept half the mixture to make this fudge. My work mates were happy to eat it. 😉
Afternoon tea with a friend to use my Royal Albert tea set for the first time.
A marble cake I made to share at a friend’s place after he told me he’d never heard of marble cake. I purposely used muted colours on the outside to contrast the bright inside colours. I also decided to fill the centre with M&M minis. The cake is vanilla, the buttercream an old English toffee. I used whitener to colour the buttercream.
