Can we just take a moment to appreciate how good the “hold on I have to Google something”/”Okay yeah that’s funny” meme is?

Like, it’s not just funny, it’s making admitting you don’t know a thing a funny and endearing trait. I just think that’s a nice reversal from the way we treat ignorance on the Internet in literally any other context.

It also destroys the idea that a joke being explained makes it bad. That is true only in professional contexts where a joke not landing for two seconds is a crisis, like for stand up comedians. Otherwise it is totally ok to explain the joke!
