how long has your character been here?
mary jane has been in everly for about a month now. long enough to have somehow fallen into a routine, but still have a weird feeling she’s not really where she is supposed to be.
what timeline from the fandom is your character from?
mj’s been pulled from the amazing spider-man comics; my portrayal of her, although mostly based off the earth-616 comics, is influenced by the insomniac game too.
what do they remember?
mary jane remembers pretty much everything: her childhood, shitty dad, losing her mom, moving in next door to peter parker, hearing about spider-man for the first time, getting her own place, losing gwen, deciding to persue a career in theater, getting a scholarship to everly. certain details about her past are sometimes a little hazy — she’ll often forget little things that used to be extremely important to her like what the new york city skyline looked like from her bedroom window or what aunt anna’s coffee tasted like and get incredibly frustrated at herself. the short (but all too frequent) blackouts are always shrugged off in a feigned nonchalant manner that mj has mastered over the years as she pretends it’s nothing, that it doesn’t get under her skin and make her feel like something’s off about everly. surely if she pretends everything is okay, it will be in the end, right?
