Final product for what I did for Professor Agostino Dessiâs International Venetian Mask Making course in Florence Italy this summer.
It is a cat skull and is currently hanging on my wall at home. I can kind of wear it, but it is a little awkward with the eye sockets smashing into you own eye sockets. Oh well.
Now that I know the process of how to make these masks, I will probably make more of them. Clay and plaster are on the way. Iâm not going to stop doing the felt masks, I just going to pause on making them for a bit due to lack of studio space (and space to do the actual wet felting process). I do have animals all picked out though.
