Is Black Love Dead? Or have we become so consumed with quick fixes and instant gratification that we no longer want to do the work required to fix ourselves? We search for "Love" in others hoping they will fill the void we feel. Self reflection is probably the hardest challenge we face because there's no one to blame for who you are except YOU. So who do I blame when relationships fall apart? Obviously it's your fault for not understanding how messed up I am and knowing how to fix me! If we were to refocus the energy we use tearing down one and other on our inner selves Love would surely show up, not in the form of another but in the form of Self. It's ok to admit that you're messed up, it's ok to admit the you're scared, it's ok to admit that you feel weak, broken, alone and depressed, these are all characteristics of being human. By admitting this you bring it to light and we all know darkness and light can NOT dwell in the same space.
