Another way to say it:

On attend le bus. We're waiting for the bus. Here again, we're using on instead of nous (we). In everyday conversations, French people will use on more often than nous. attendre... to wait J'attends... I'm waiting or I wait Tu attends (you singular) Il attend (he) Elle attend (she) Nous attendons (we) On attend (we) Vous attendez (you plural, more than one person) Ils attendent (they - m) Elles attendent (they - f) J'attends le bus. À tout à l'heure! Don't try to translate this one word for word, it's impossible. But it can mean: See you later! See you in a bit! See you in a while! L'heure... the time (as in what time it is) Vous avez l'heure? Do you have the time? What time is it? Une heure... an hour Other ways to say "See you later!" A plus tard! (the S is silent) A plus! (the S is NOT silent) Plus in French is also the + sign like in English. So French people will end their emails with a friendly: A +! Which is the very short version of "A plus tard!". L'hiver... winter (m) In French we say the winter and not just winter. Although hiver has a masculin gender, we don't use the article le (the) but l' because it's followed by a vowel sound (the h is silent). C'est... it is (wen followed by a noun or adjective) C'est l'hiver... it's winter C'est l'été... it's summer C'est joli... it's pretty Il neige... it's snowing Here we use il to mean it is because it is followed by a verb.
