The things it would take for Dirk to become this kind of person either happened off screen (bad writing) or did not happen at all (worse writing) and it feels so nasty to read any more

design experimence part 6

OC gacha has been open the whole time I've just been lazy!!!

I designed a Pokémon line! they. do not have names yet.

they're based on plague doctors, mostly because I was unsatisfied with how unprevalent the plague doctor inspiration was in the Spritzee line.

the whole line is poison fairy type, but can also learn plenty of flying, ghost, and dark moves

the baby is innately curious follows the other two around to learn how healing works

the middle one relies heavily on berries to heal because it's not confident in its innate abilities yet

and the final evo has figured out how to use its fairy type abilities to heal, stealing illness from Pokémon that it stores to use as an attack later.

the ability of the final evo translates into its signature move, Ailment Exchange, which heals a status effect from one Pokémon on the field (which can include itself) and uses an attack the next turn with a type matching that status effect. Normal for sleep, fire for burns, poison for poison, etc.

the final evo actually tends to be really sweet despite being an intimidating 7 foot tall slenderman of a bird! they can be found in Pokémon centers sometimes, usually in places where Chansey or Audino are harder to come by and places where lots of dark and ghost types live.

Being a Homestuck fan has done irreparable damage to my creative process.

What if there was a different story about a different boy and his friends and a different game they play together. What if the main character was a total fucking dork. What if there was a really cool blond dude with sunglasses and childhood trauma and identity issues. What if it was in an objectively horrible format for webcomics. What if I, the narrator, was a character in the story and portrayed myself as a self aggrandizing dickwad on purpose for humorous reasons.
