After graduating highschool year of 2008, I enrolled directly in our Lady of Fatima University. I took up Bachelor of Science in Nursing and my Father fully funded it. Since he has good work during those days, my brother who is studying in UE and I didn't need side hustles.
A wonderful bestfriend has been a part of my life during my highschool days. We have been volunteering in the music ministry since we've met and eventually became friends for three years.
Unfortunately, I experienced one devastating event in my life when I was still a minor where I have been abused. It's more like a molestation because I was pressured to do stuff that I didn't like. I cried heavily during that moment of torture and begged the person to stop it.
I ran away and maybe it was the Creator (Maker of heaven) who saved me that day. Where I haven't fully understood yet who are the people I should be friends with and who should I avoid. I never meet with any guy like that ever again after that incident because I was not just scared it was also an experience that I didn't want for myself. It was indeed a child abuse.
I was really grateful that our friendship grew stronger (Mav and I)
Maverick Furigay has been the bestest guy in the world for me.
He didn't just made me feel special. He made me feel loved by the Creator and inspired me to live in purity in both mind and body. 💗 I consider him to be my first boyfriend because he courted me and we both like each other and our foundation was the Creator. I knew the moment I said yes to him that he was the man for me. That he was sent by Creator to be with me for the rest of my life hence, he died in a heart attack even before I graduated from highschool and it was the most excruciating pain that I felt in my life because I love the man truthfully.
Anyway, going back to my college days after my capping, candlelighting and pinning ceremony, Our dad had pneumonia and was also surprised regarding the immediate retirement that his company made him file.
My brother and I juggled studying and working.
He worked as a professor in Mary the Queen while studying Engineering and I worked as an ESL Instructor (nothing more, nothing less).
Aside from being a part time teacher and studying I was also busy volunteering in JIL Music Ministry. Ever since I was a child (14years old) My brother and I are always active in church volunteering. So yes I was always a church girl (whatever you call it.)
(music ministry Christmas party)
After spending most of my days juggling work, studies and ministry volunteering I found out that my school/uni/acads is being left behind. Even though my Dad abhor the idea of me transferring to other uni and shifting course, I realized I finally have to take action and make a decision for myself since he is already retiring and I promised in return that I wouldn't ask money from him any longer.
My brother and I are "batak" in working and never want to rely solely on our Father because we are capable too and we need fund to also support the ministry works.
I transferred to University of the Philippines Diliman and studied Extension courses in College of Music for two consecutive years. It was hard because it took time for me to learn how to read notes. Another factor that makes it challenging is because of its huge difference. From Allied to Music.
It was a season of drought, I kept my promise and carry on without any support from Dad. I worked part-time in Cultural Center of the Philippines as an usher while studying in UPD. Hence, it didn't stop me from pursuing the thing that I want.
I was not just passionate but also more than willing to make my Father proud.
Any rumors and or allegations that I have sell my body IN ORDER to study, finish uni, and or support my lifestyle isn't true and is all a lie.
