EXPERIMENT 2: Choco Fudge Brownies Remake

Uhhhh im disappointed on how it turned out... Its not fudgey anymore it turned cakey, i used the wrong number of eggs and wrong size. Anyways its not super over powering chocolate, and its not too sweet anymore.. Just the the cakey texture sucks.

So im not making in depth review anymore.

Experiment #1 : Fudge Brownies

Remarks:

1. While still hot (10-15 mins. after baking)

-hard to cut perfectly (of course because its still wet)

-too sweet (? Not yet sure no conclusions yet)

-FUDGEEEEEEEY

-nuts are not evenly distributed (its my folding technique that failed me)

-I really need to use parchment paper (the extra grease on tins makes it stickier, i hate it)

2. Well rested, not yet refrigerated (2-4 hours after cutting (because i messed up that one already)

-yes, its too sweet

-very sticky, and fudgey inside

-very chewy outside

-not crumbly

IN CONCLUSION:

1. I need to rest it properly (maybe 30 mins to 1 hr after baking) before cutting.

2. Add more flour, reduce sugar, probably add vanilla (? Not yet sure i really dont like vanilla extracts), and also add more cocoa powder.

3. Add a little more salt.

4. Mix dry ingredients thoroughly and coat the nuts thoroughly.

5. Use larger square pans and line them with baking sheet.

6. Add 1 tbsp of coffee instead of just 2 tsp, use the fine one.

7. Roast the nuts first a little bit for flavor.

Another edit: My mom and my sisters told me that i used too much cocoa powder. Oopsies. I'll definitely add more flour.

for context, I sent an ask to @guqin-and-flute on my main blog about wwx having a horrible goose for a pet, and it went far further than I ever thought it would

Wei Wuxian had found the egg by nearly falling on top of it. “The snakes probably ate the rest and left that one because it’s rotten.” Jiang Cheng had said after he’d fished his brother and the egg out of the lake, frowning at it even as Wei Wuxian held the thing even closer to his face. Even if the egg wasn’t rotten, they still might get chased by the gander the egg belonged to, if the snakes hadn’t gotten to her along with the rest of the eggs.

Any of that should make sense to Wei Wuxian, he doesn’t even know how to hatch an egg, but when he thinks of tossing it back into the nest for something to eat it or someone to step on it, he can’t do it. “Why shouldn’t I try to hatch it?” He argues, holding the egg close to his chest and out of Jiang Cheng’s reach. “The babies are always cute and fluffy!”

“It’s a fucking goose egg, Wei Wuxian!” Jiang Cheng says, shoving the pommel of his sword towards Wei Wuxian’s chest. “You know how mean they are!” They’d been chased out of the lakes more than once by the geese that nest in Lotus Pier, even Madam Yu kept the geese at a healthy distance. “And it’s not like Mother will let you keep it once it does hatch.”

“Your mother won’t know about it.” Wei Wuxian says quietly, turning and staring at Jiang Cheng pleadingly, his lower lip stuck out just a little bit to sell it. “It has to stay between the two of us.”
