“I wanna be a dentist!”
In light of the new trailer, I'm posting my favorite Psychic type, Alakazam! These bad boys were forever out of my reach in the old GBC days because you needed both a Link Cable AND friends to get one, and I was painfully shy as a kid!
“One, TA-HOOOO, tha-ree...”
*CHOMP*
Does anyone remember the show “Lady Lovely Locks”?
My grandma had an old 80′s VHS tape with a few episodes on it that my cousin and I watched religiously. It consisted of this benevolent princess and her fellow long-haired maidens who rule a kingdom alongside these flying little animals with powers called “pixietails”. And every episode the villain, Duchess Ravenwaves (didn’t even need to Google it), endeavors to cut off some of Lady Lovely Lock’s hair because it ...would give her powers? Or something? And there’s a prince in love with her but can never tell her because he was cursed to be a dog without her knowledge. Anyway, it was a show clearly meant to hawk toys, but it was freaking awesome and campy and should most definitely be resurrected.
“I’ve finally discovered the cure for ugliness...took one sip of this formula and look at me now!”
Everyone’s *favorite* pal, Scrappy-Doo, bidding a “Happy Halloween” to all tomorrow! Stay safe and eat tons of Kit Kats! :O
Caught one of these bad boys on Pokemon Go the other day! Named them "Keiths."
A selection of panels from the first half of my new board, “A Dino Dilemma”, inspired by my 3-year-old dinosaur-loving nephew. :)
Woooooah this post is 10 miles long! :O It’s a short storyboard I drew up for practice last week dubbed “Detective Barks.” I'm planning on turning this one into an animatic since the story is pretty quick and it'd be cool to see it in action! For now, though, the panels are also posted individually on my website to flip through.
A selection of boards from the first half of a new short story! This one stars Detective Barks, a washed up "police dog" who discovers he was really never more than a mascot for the local PD. To prove that he can, in fact, solve a case, he teams up with a technologically-savvy girl, Emy, who seems to be the only one who has any faith in his self-proclaimed crime-solving abilities.
Almost finished with my next project--here’s a little snippet! :)
A comedy piece dubbed “My Cousin Jeremy”, where a young coati learns to appreciate his raccoon cousin’s quirks! Hope you guys like watching it as much as I did making it! :)
I just finished my latest board, “Mi Primo Jeremy”, and I’m SO excited to turn it into an animatic! While my last board was a drama sequence with subtler acting, this one was a comedy that called for some squash and stretch. Fun stuff!
A selection of boards from my latest project: 'Beyond the Road's End'. It's about overcoming creative blocks by finding inspiration through other artists' works. For this, I wanted to try another style and tone to shake things up! The animatic is coming later in the month, but for now, here are some pieces of it!
(This one’s got sound!) Guess who got her little paws on Primiere?! THIS LADY. Haha I’m currently high-fiving a million angels, and I’m excited to share my latest animatic: Thrill of the Chase! Enjoy my voice in chipmunk-form!
Sorry for the brief hiatus--I was busily packing my things and moving to LA to search for opportunities in animation! It’s been a wild (and scary) ride, but I’m happy to be here and eager to get to work! The first week I moved in, I boarded up a little adventure-story about a girl named Autumn (you might remember her from the “Seasonal Sisters” line-up), who also ventures into the unknown. I’ll post the story in pieces, but you can also find the whole thing on my website!
Oh, and if you know of anyone who needs a storyboard revisionist, artist, or PA, I’m your girl! :)
I’ve been a major bundle of nerves lately...so much so that I feel the need to channel my inner Retsuko and scream out my emotions in a karaoke bar!
