The past few months I have been taking steps towards owning a business selling hand-fabricated jewelry. I’ve been working for a metalsmith in town and she has been a great, supportive mentor. 

The next step for me is to try selling my jewelry online. From there I want to attend as many craft fairs as possible, do wholesale/consignment, and then hopefully get an actual studio and do jewelry full-time.

Untitled

White curtains, digital projection

2014

Untitled is an installation that explores our connection and memory to a certain landscape. Landscape is a cultural construct, a way of conceptualizing and experiencing a place. With the advances in technology, this shapes our connection and remembrance of a landscape. Untitled  features a digital projection of a landscape being projected onto white curtains hung from varying angles to create a space and environment for the viewer to walk through and be absorbed, yet the landscape is physically intangible.
