Stein auf Stein und Hand in Hand, stark und schön, das waren wir zusammen. Es tut weh, wenn ich jetzt seh, wie das alles zerfällt und ich nicht aufhalten kann.

Jennifer Rostock, ‘Jenga’
In the song “Irgendwas ist immer” it’s about the bitch culture of people, how you can get upset about luxury problems and how unnecessary that actually is. Because no matter how good something’s going, there’s always something to complain about and that’s what we’re complaining about in the song - about people who get upset, that’s what we’re getting upset about.
- Jennifer Rostock, ‘Irgendwas ist immer (Sprachnachricht von Sam)’
The second track on the 2008 EP iTUNES FESTIVAL: BERLIN.

New Album Title?
At Sputnik Spring Break, Jennifer Rostock held up a large “W” for the camera – could this be the first letter of the name for this year’s new album?

Es geht doch um den Menschen - was sind Pässe aus Papier? Wir teilen uns die Erde, komm, wir teilen uns noch 'n Bier.
Jennifer Rostock, ‘Wir Sind Alle Nicht von Hier’
Jennifer Rostock played their first festival of the summer on Friday, Sputnik Spring Break, where three new songs were performed for the first time:
Doch Uns Gehört die Nacht (But the Night Belongs to Us)
Irgendwas ist Immer (Something is Forever)
Wir Sind Alle Nicht von Hier (We Aren’t All from Here)
Just by the snippets, it appears that DUGDN is more of a pop-rock song, III is a rock song, and WSANVH is a pop-electro song, at least when they’re performed live. This all makes the wait for the new album just that much more exciting!

Sneak Peek of Today's Photoshoot
Jennifer posted a shot on Facebook and Instagram of herself during today’s photoshoot, and a few photos and videos on Snapchat. Unfortunately, I don’t have a way to download the videos, but you can find the Facebook/Instagram photo and one from her Snapchat below:
#gallery-2 { margin: auto; } #gallery-2 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 20%; } #gallery-2 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-2 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
EDIT: I added a photo from Christoph’s Snapchat, as well as a screenshot from a video Jennifer posted and a photo from her Instagram.

Release Birthday: Schlaflos [Music Video] (2 Years Ago)
The music video for the original edit of ‘Schlaflos,’ from the album of the same title, was released two years ago today, directed by Wolf & Lamm (who are actually Joffrey Jans and Kai Kurve). It was the fourth actual music video out of the five released for the album; there were also two videos with different versions of songs from the album, one featuring the Stromlos version of ‘Phantombild‘ and the other featuring a Tanz, Los! version of ‘Schlaflos’.
The video is one continuous shot, and Jennifer stated during an interview that it was also cold, so both the length of the take and the temperature were her least favorite parts of the shoot.

New Merch and Shop
Jennifer Rostock’s online shop has switched yet again, this time to LiveYourMusic.com, which redirects to Impericon.com. Unfortunately, it only ships to Germany, Austria, and Switzerland (damn!), but there are a bunch of new products. Of course, some of the products from before the move are still there, including the Warme Füße socks and Refugees Welcome t-shirt.
You can find the new shop here.
The new products are listed below the cut.
Festival Summer 2016: The Countdown Begins
As of today (23 April 2016), there are officially less than three (3) weeks until the start of 2016’s Festival Summer for Jennifer Rostock! It starts off with Sputnik Spring Break in Halbinsel Pouch, Germany, on 13 May, and so far, ends on 19 August with Frequency Festival in St. Pölten, Austria. All of the upcoming dates can be viewed here; more will be added as they’re announced, as will specific days the band will play.
In related news, Jennifer stated on Snapchat that she liked the bikini she wore last year for festivals, and may do that again this year, although she is working on a stage outfit. Whether that means picking out a good bikini or not, I can’t be sure. (In all honesty, I didn’t catch all of what she’d said, nor did I ever figure out how to save other people’s Snapchat stories.)

So, after five months of not updating - or even signing in - I’ve finally come back to this account! The theme has been changed, non-working video links and old text posts have been deleted, and the ‘Originals’ and ‘Translations’ lyric pages both lead to the actual JRUS site. (Because I found a new host and it looks better as a Wordpress blog. Link is in the sidebar.)
I don’t know how often I’ll be updating this page, as it appears none of the blogs I follow are updating, either, and I get lazy when it comes to browsing tags. However, some links will be switching around or disappearing (like anything for the sideblogs) as I switch them over to the site.
I'm from spain and i love them since 2007
Awesome!
