I guess this is the part where I start explaining, huh?

1969 had already started with an interesting twist. Brett Kelly’s party, meant to be a carefree and laid back social event, had been taken over by the Greasers. The two sides blending together never did end well and that’s exactly what happened, for everyone but Benjamin.

Though it ended in high tension, Ben had agreed to met up with Jenny afterwards for an evening walk. He hadn’t seen her since New Years and he missed her adorable smile and melody-like laughter. He missed her all together, so seeing her at the party was, so far, his favorite memory of 1969.

Walking towards the entrance of the trail, Benjamin placed his hands in his jacket’s pocket. It was a lovely evening, despite the party ending in such a way. The air was just right as the moon lighted the ground in front of him. When walking close enough, Ben spotted Jenny waiting by the entrance and his face lit up. It was a smile only she could place on his face.

"Hello there." He said with a bright smile before leaning down to kiss her. "Have you been waiting long?" He asked after slowly pulling away from the kiss.

Jenny was greeted with Ben's warm smile which seemed the make the night warmer than it really was. Jenny returned his bright grin with one of her own, returning the kiss that lingered for just a little bit, wishing that it had been longer. "Not at all. I only got here a few minutes ago." She was too busy determining if her outfit was put together enough without trying too hard.

The two often went walking especially on these back road forgotten trails mostly because they knew they wouldn't be caught if they did. That always seemed to be their goal in these get togethers; don't get caught.

"Shall we?" She asked offering her hand behind her, smiling at him brightly. She looked from her hand up at him, smiling again, a soft laugh falling from her lips.

Friendship || Jenny&Ben

Why was love so confusing? Maybe it wasn't love, but it was something, and it was confusing as hell. Jenny had been sneaking around with Ben for months. Just simple things, like meeting at that party. They weren't really dating, they were just...friends. That held hands and kissed on occasions, but friends all the same. And she liked just being friends, because there was less danger in that, and less heartbreak, too.

The girl knew what it was to be heartbroken, and she didn't want that again, because everyone was right to say a Greaser and a Soc really couldn't last. Hailey and Cain were outliers. It was like the world planned for them to be together the minute they were born, and just made it hard to find each other. That didn't happen for everyone else. 

As they parted ways after the party, her and Ben agreed to meet for a walk. Jenny alternated between fidgeting with her hair, and playing with the little deer necklace around her neck. She always wore it if she knew she was going to be alone with him. She really did love it. It wasn't a could night, so she knew that a pair of jeans and a t-shirt would be a fine choice of clothes. The tiny blonde just waited outside their meeting place over by the trail that would keep them out of sight of the town while they walked. It was where they could be alone and just be themselves. They're friends that held hands and sometimes kissed selves.

{Cain cracked up.} I love you, too, jerkface.

-She stuck her tongue out at him.- How have you been? How’s my nephew?

[cain--adams]

Merry Christmas, Jenny. [He said, smiling softly at the girl before leaning down to kiss her cheek. His eyes were soon captured by the book, his smile immediately brightening.] I love it. I’m glad you like it. {Cain grinned at his sister.) I saw them just the other day. Flip is almost as big as Uno now. You must be feeding him good.

Jenny… you didn’t have to get me anything. {Cain’s eyes widened at the presents. He put on the bracelet right away and held the stuffed wolf against his chest.} These are great. Thank you so much.

I am. I'm his favorite because of it, but I think Uno likes AJ better. 

I know, but I wanted to. -She smiled a little at his reaction- You're welcome. I'm glad you like them so much.

Not buying presents for anyone this year. Don’t get me anything either.
