Sailor Moon, chibi and senshi many cute kimono styles by Hakusai.
The hikizuri (trailing kimono) silhouettes for Serenity and Pluto are lovely. And I love how Uranus is wearing hakama <3

I am in LOVE with this antique summer outfit, featuring this vivid magenta kimono with kaede (maple leaves) swirling in ryuusui (running water), paired with this unsual summer obi depicting a shirasagi (white heron) flying alongside a karasu (crow) over the waves.
“Sagi to karasu” (to call a heron a crow) is a parable meaning bending the reason of something, even though it is clearly incorrect (=insisting that something that is clearly white is black). A synonym is “yuki to sumi” (snow and charcoal).
It seems the expression also refers to the black and white stones used to play go.
Ika (squid) and tako (octopus) yukata by RobeJaponica. Couple goals all the way + bonus points for unisex designs (men in colorful yukata is a big YES!).
I find those two summer outfits pretty fun as both squid and octopus are popular street foods you can easily find sold by matsuri (festival) stalls.

Ashida (high teeth for rainy/snowy weather, worn by women) . 足駄
Tsumakawatsuki geta (with front covers, for rainy/snowy weather) . 褄皮付下駄
Last Row

Junihitoe (12 layered dress), women court attire which appeared during Heian era
Here, the model hair is set in formal osuberakashi, a puffy hairstyle topped with an ornamention called saishi 釵子 (or hirabitai 平額) :
This hairstyle became associated with junihitoe (and especially the imperial family) during Edo era, which is why the empress Hinamatsuri doll is often wearing this headdress:
Women Edo era kaburimono (headdress), handy chart by @nadeshicorin, showing from left to right top to bottom:
Segawa bôshi (Segawa headgear) 瀬川帽子 : Made popular in mid-Edo thanks to actor Segawa Kikunojo I
Wa bôshi (ring headgear) 輪帽子 : cotton cloth covering forehead and tied under the chin
Wata bôshi (cotton headgear) 綿帽子 : cotton cap protecting hair from wind and dust. Nowadays this style is worn by brides
Agebôshi (butterfly headgear) 揚帽子 : Worn by women of the samurai and wealthy class (I know this style under the name ageha bôshi)
Okoso zukin (Big sleeve hood) 御高袖頭市 : large hood worn during cold weather
Fukinagashi (loose veil headgear) 吹き流し : very iki (fashionable) style, in ukiyoe women are often depicted holding up a corner in their mouths
Anesan kaburi (wrap-around headdress) 姉さん被り: tenugui headdress worn by working women (the anesan=“older sister” stresses the humble origin of this style)
Katsugi (Kosode veil-cape) 被衣 : Remnant of travelling attires used during Heian and Muromachi eras. It remained fashionable in Kyoto until mid Edo
Broke: vulcans don’t play games, as they are illogical
Woke: vulcans absolutely play games as resting so as to recuperate after exertion is highly logical and they have a marked preference for the Terran game, chess
Third eye slaming open at 4:27am: vulcans love poker. They won’t mention it and they’ll justify it but after first contact they descended on poker like a murder of starving ravens as a unified cultural phenomenon
I don’t watch Star Trek really but “Competitive emotional suppression with probability assessment and observation skills” is the most Vulcan leisure activity I can imagine.
I had planned to do something totally different with my day but instead I made a whole bunch of pride birds! I plan to put them on Redbubble asap.
Lesbian: pink-headed warbler Gay: eastern rosella Bi: varied bunting Trans: lilac-breasted roller Genderqueer: woodstar Aro/ace: pink-headed fruit dove
ADDITIONAL BIRBS
Pansexual: oriental dwarf kingfisher Nonbinary: gouldian finch Asexual: purple-crowned fairywren
Sapphic: red-tailed comet Aromantic: dusky-headed conure
I couldn’t resist making more pride birds today, especially after I discovered that the scientific name of the red-tailed comet is Sappho sparganurus. Sappho, you guys!! This bird is named after her!!
Guess who! Lesbian cockatoo. :)
Redbubble has buttons now!
Happy pride month everyone!!! Have a bronzewing pigeon. :) (Redbubble)
Finally! The Vosmaeri eclectus for the polyamory flag. While not an orientation or gender identity, the polyam flag is still very popular at pride events.
I thought the eclectus was perfect for this flag because unlike other parrots, they’re nonmonogamous. What a fun coincidence that they happen to match the flag so well and to be a personal favorite of mine.
(Redbubble)
Genderfluid violet-backed starling! I had a lot of fun drawing this one; I’m getting less afraid to draw iridescence on birds.
Despite all the frustration they cause for American naturalists, starlings are delightful, intelligent creatures. (Redbubble link)

You know, I spent all night up with the kiddo when she was sick. And then I spent all night up with the husband when he was sick. Why is it that not only is there no one to stay up with me all night when I'm sick, but I also don't get the day off when I'm still sick and exhausted? Srzly.
I loved you before I ever touched you.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What server do you play on, my dear?
Balmung, one of the RP servers.
My main character, Anja Sabline, is on Sargatanas but I might roll on an alt on a RP server. How’s the community in general been, so far?
My main is D’aito Kuji.
But unfortunately I haven’t been on in a while. The Council and this Friday assault team practice has been keeping me too busy.
FF:XIV RP is good(ish) ((better than TSW - imo)). It’s probably easier to find a RP Free Company (cabal) on one of the RP forums. I found mine at http://ffxiv-roleplayers.com.
But in the markets or other places where players congregate, there’s good opportunities for RP. I’ve had RP encounters strolling at the beach, for example.
It could maybe depend on your species. Miqo’tes are kind of known for their…interest in intimacy - so there’s been, in my experience, a need to dance around that issue a few times. I generally don’t ERP because it makes me laugh and I can’t stay in-character.
But in my RP group, it’s been pretty good. There’s the usual standing around and chit chatting which isn’t my favorite BUT we’ve managed a few group/mission related RPs and those ARE my favorite.
((I'm playing a female Miqo'te on Gilgamesh, and so far there's been no weird propositioning for ERP or anything like that. I've been able to find bits of random RP well enough, and there seems to be plenty of events that go on. That being said, I've heard the RP community is larger on Balmung. On the flip side of that coin, I've ALSO heard that because Balmung is larger and better established, it's harder to get involved with them. It sounds to me like both Gilgamesh and Balmung have their good and bad points, but I've genuinely been enjoying Balmung. I might make the suggestion to a new player to try both servers, and poke around a bit on the RP forum you linked to see which one catches your interest more.
And I might as well take a moment to plug our Free Company here too. It's super new (because we're all super new), but everyone in it so far is really laid back. We have an IC Linkshell, in case there are people who would like to ally with us, without joining the FC. I'm still working on the website, but you can find it here: http://theblacksails.enjin.com/home ))
