I’m an American woman in her late 30s, I’m surrounded by my friends who have moved on to the next phase of their lives and I’m still in this other phase. Out of necessity, certainly, because I’m an artist. I make my living on the road, but maybe out of an arrested state of development because of the way I grew up on the road, and a litle bit of fear. And I’ve always been a late bloomer. I arrive at things very slowly. It takes me a long time. I’ve referred to myself as “the slowest moving train”.
