“Shit.” You hurriedly grabbed the spatula to turn over the pancake, the smell of burning sweet flour filled your nostrils.
You scrunched your face up in disgust and disappointment.
“Damn it.” You said while tilting your head at the sight of a black and smooth surface, clearly not the kind of pancake you wanted to give your boyfriend for his birthday.
You toss the failed project into the kitchen sink and pour out another spooning batter onto the frying pan, this time making sure to lower the cooking temperature.
Ennio Morricone plays in the background softly while you sway your hips and try to at least fry eggs in separate frying pan successfully. Because despite being terrified of hot oil, you had to do this for the well-deserving birthday boy.
The bacon was already done and the strawberries have already been cut and put on a plate beside a bottle of whipped cream. Everything is almost ready and perfect for the sleeping beauty.
His favorite dark roast coffee was set on the table in a white mug donning ‘My Girlfriend Loves Me So Much She Brought Me this BIG Expensive Mug!” You chuckled to yourself quietly as you placed it down next to a vase of roses.
You zoned in on your blossoming beauty of a pancake, being sure to flip it in time this time.
“Yes!” You smiled to yourself when you successfully slipped it onto the plate and saw its perfectly smooth surface with a honey brown shade.
You were so focused, you didn’t feel Jaehyun’s eyes on you the entire time. He was adoring the way you moved in your baby pink silk nightgown, the expensive one that he bought you and had the pleasure of putting on you the night before. The one that hugged your body perfectly, the one that stopped right at the apex of your legs. But the one that would also catch fire quickly if you stepped too close to the stove and made one wrong move.
