WA DA DA:

jisoo isn't sold on the groups concept overall, it didn't girl out to be as cute or visually in line with the concept that she thought. so while she's not fully sold for her personal preference, things went better than expected. wa da da might be her personal favorite when it came to her looks and styling. black hair and a red lip is what jisoo has always considered to be her best look. throughout promotions they did go with a softer look, having a pink or lighter lip and less heavy makeup around the eyes. personally, she felt like it made her look more childish. that being said, for most of the promotions, she got away with a red lip and a lot of white which brought a nice contrast. and a lot of bare shoulders looks. overall, this era is one of her favorites but brought her the least amount of attention.

RING X RING:

ring x ring continued on the red of the black hair and bold lips. this comeback, there wasn't as much experimenting with hairstyles. for the most part, they found what worked and stuck too it. something that jisoo was thankful for. the outfits were a bit more uniform this time around, flowing dresses and all. which made jisoo truly shine in the stages when they were able to mix up stage looks a little more. for those stages the bare shoulders were mostly gone by either by long sleeves or hair covering them. they also stripped her of her favorite white and took to dressing her in darker or black clothing, when the stage allowed. jisoo doesn't hate it but it wasn't as of an memorable era for her.

ELEVEN:

eleven would be the most memorable for her in many ways. red wasn't the strangest color in the world but it wasn't what she felt looked best on her. not by a long shot. black was her color. when the company told her that she'd be dying her hair, it wasn't taken well by jisoo at all. it was also memorable because of the small buzz. as they were already preparing for eleven as they wrapped up promotions for ring x ring. the comeback was hinted at with her change in hair color as during the final promo stages. not only was there buzz about a possible comeback but fans seemed to respond well to the change. there was a sharp increase of interest in her in online communities but was also damped by how down she seemed. while she did manage to pull it together by the end. still, she had a very curated idea of herself and this red hair didn't fit. the only bright spot was that aside from the sailor-ish outfit stage, the comeback for this styling was more in line with what she liked. it didn't make up for what she felt was her lost of control but it was something.

THE STRANGE WORLD:

the strange world gave her time to settle into her new look that had become somewhat permanent. once jisoo got past not liking it she was able to bask in the few new fansites that opened. for this comeback she was allowed to return to the bold lip and that soothed her a bit as well. the biggest thing she enjoyed about this comeback was that it was the closer to her personal style. black was a base color throughout the every stage stage and they stuck to mostly dark or muted colors. this comeback also saw her in pants more as she bruised easily during the comeback prep. naturally pants were the go to and the transition could been seen by the end of eleven promotions but she didn't wear a skirt for a single promotion of the strange world.

UP:

up would rank as the comeback she has liked the least. there are plenty of factors but the main one being she does not like the song or concept. this one leaned cute in a way that she feels like it didn't in their debut. honestly, jisoo was happy to move away from it a bit. it hasn't helped that her hair was went from a vibrant red that she didn't want to a burnt orange, boarding on brown that she hates. this comeback saw the return of her wearing shorts and skirts. not that it wearing them was an issue, this comeback felt like it leaned into more of a teenage styling that wasn't her when she was a teenager. her biggest grip is the makeup for the comeback. once again, it's lighter and makes her feel as if she looks more child-like. there is something striking about her previous makeup styles that she feels like she lacked during that promotion period.

back in the dorm, the camera's were rolling and jynx felt comfortable enough to morph into her lonely miserable self. at least she wouldn't be miserable alone. jisoo couldn't confirm where the other members were at the moment but she could confirm that her and cassi would drink and complain in front of the tv. it was just what she needed. "did you settle on something?" she could heard be heard before she was seen, coming around the corner with a snacks and soju in her arms.

"either way, i don't care. i'm tired of this filming. it's one thing if it was for a show...." she trailed off, cracking open a bottle. "but this? this is constant. there is pretending for a few hours and then there's being paired with people i have no interest in."

when it came to promoting, jynx was willing to take it in any form. music shows, variety shows, self-produced content, whatever added to the groups profile. that would then add to her own profile. they were in the downtime phase but that didn't mean work totally stopped. there were still photoshoots, other small performances and whatever else the company can throw at them. today, it was a photoshoot with her and suna.

they had just arrived at the shoot, they had a few minutes of downtime after the shoot was explained. waiting in hair and makeup for the magic to begin, "what do you think of the concept?" an attempt at small talk. sure, they were in the group together but her own training period had been fairly short. then debut and the tour, there was hardly ever a moment of being alone. things had calmed down a little but she couldn't say she still felt a extremely close bond with hime. not like fans would expect, "a bit different from our group's concept but it's not bad."

aera relaxes into the chair with familiar ease, crossing one leg over the other as the makeup artist gets to work. the idol falls into the routine of pulling out her phone, fingers making quick work of either socializing with friends and fans with messages or doom scrolling through social media. truthfully, anything to tune out her surroundings aside from staff. it’s her own personal ritual on solo schedules.

the woman has to keep herself from releasing a heavy sigh when she hears the sound of jisoo’s voice again. annoying. aera doesn’t bother sparing a glance towards the woman talking to her nearby, it’s bad enough that she’ll have to stare at jisoo longer than a sparse glance in passing today. maybe she could get her eyes bleached afterwards? or find some eye candy to ogle at. something. yet, there’s a smirk that paints her features, ego stroked a bit by the other’s words — despite knowing that ‘the aera’ is a hidden sneer. nothing but a simple artificial remark of kindness. she took it in stride, though.

“your group is new, but you’re not, right ? being an idol, i mean. got washed out with your first attempt or something like that.” aera doesn’t miss the look of intrigue the makeup artist gives between the two of them, catching it in the mirror.

“a real … pity.” her features are exaggerated as she frowns, throwing a look towards the supposed rookie idol. nothing but mockery hidden behind a mask. “but great ! we’ll do the gifting then ! and of course, i can show you all the ropes ! you can trust me. i’ll even pay for the meal, my treat.”

it stung a little, jisoo would give her that. honestly, it was a fact of life. her first debut didn't work out and she had almost given up. it wasn't so much what was said. her entire issue was the who. the fact that it was aeri of all people. the fact that she managed to have no reaction but a slight twitch, jisoo couldn't help but mentally pack herself on the back. "it was a pity..." franly, she agreed because she deserved to debut. but would she back down? never? a verbal spare was nothing compared to what you she did in high school. the only difference was the audience.

her face perked up in a way the would rival the greatest actress of his generation. she didn't bother to face aera, "it was extremely hard during that time. my parents weren't supportive of my dream. that's why i consider you so lucky, i envy it a bit. i wish i had parents that would help me achieve my dream. no matter what. sometimes, it just takes a lot of hard work and trying again and look at me now? i get to have meal with you!" was she too upbeat on the last bit? maybe but was too tired to care. she might've failed before but at least her parents money didn't hang over head.

it was that point that her manager cut in. the stylist had stepped away, possibly with a slight more insight between the relationship of the two. "we're going to film you two getting into the taxi and you'll have self-cam's at the flea market, along with the crew. the cameras will be rolling soon..." her manager's eyes cut to jisoo before looking at the both of them. "aera's manager will be traveling with you two so best behavior." and a quiet threat that they shouldn't let whatever this was bleed onto the cameras.

aera would rather be anywhere else, but here. being launched into space without a space suit would be better than this. seriously. a scowl had been painted on her features from the moment she first woke up this morning, not looking forward to the day laid out ahead of her. a whole fucking day with jeon jisoo. they couldn’t have set her up with anyone else? there’s a whole lineup of people they could’ve picked from. unfortunately, the woman didn’t have the time to dwell on ways of destroying the company building as she already found herself being guided into the dressing room.

if she could handle occasional courtesies when passing each other in the halls, she could handle this with ease. after all, it’s just one day, right?

with faux charm, aera gives a smile, bowing politely in response — pretending to be happy to attend. her manager knowing too well that she isn’t, if the warning look she was given was anything to go by. they caught the brunt of her attitude for today.

“that sounds … fun.” her distaste is masked with candied venom as she brushes her hair over her shoulder. “i’ve been looking forward to this since they told me. i’m a fan of your group ! very talented.” aera doesn’t bat an eye as she takes a seat in the chair gestured to her by the stylist. “should we get gifts for each other at the flea market ? i think fans would love it.”

"absolutely." not. this dad was going to be the furthest thing from fun that jisoo was going to experience. there were a few things that would make it fun but none of them would work well for her image. a girl could dream. jisoo was saved from responding right away, the makeup-artist moving to apply some lip-tint. honestly, she would've been fine with walking looking like a clown if it meant she could spend more time not speaking to aera. alas, that wasn't for her and the artist moved away, forcing jisoo to continue on the conversation for watching eyes.

she turned her head towards the other, "me too sunbae! it's amazing to hear you're a fan. we're still new...so to have that praise...." it meant nothing, she wasn't even sure if she believed it. "but i've been excited to get to learn and spend time with the aera." did anyone get her that lemon yet? was there still enough time to through a fit and back out? she wouldn't but the idea was tempting to jisoo, she had to bit down on her lip for a moment.

"that sounds like a wonderful idea! we could split up after a bit at the market and give the gives when we sit down to eat." it might've sounded like a nice plan but she wanted to wrap up as much they could, as quickly as they could. "please look after me...we're still so new, there's so much to learn about being an idol and there's not better teacher than someone like you sunbae."

she hated it, truly hated it. the whole concept of a reality show. one like this. not that jisoo wasn't thankful for her debut and the chances but this felt too intrusive. it was one thing to record a show with her members, the people she spent the most amount of time with. or even or a show she signed up for? but to pretend that she spent any personal time with aera of all people. she'd rather gag on a lemon. two of them. but she couldn't show that, even if the camera's weren't rolling yet. the staff were around, getting them prepped for a fake out that never happened. she had to play nice. so when aera walked into the dressing room, jisoo forced herself to stand up and give a respectful bow. "hello sunbae, i look forward to spending the day with you." and she managed to say it without sounding like she'd rather be anywhere else. a win. "they said, they'll be filming us going shopping at a flea market." she never did a day in her life, "and then eating something to eat. it should be a fun day."

her mother and father divorced when she was 10 years old, her mother is an actress and her father is a korean-american music producer. they met bc he moved to korea to work on an upcoming group

she lived in gwangju until she was 5 but often visits her grandparents, her satoori has stayed due to this and she's proud of it.

her parents did one of those baby tv shows so she was in the public eye at a young age.

from age 9 - 12 in a few popular drama's. mainly at the pushing off her parents. so when the divorce came, it was messy (mainly on her dad's side) and very public. finally, the cord was cut and her father went back to america. they've only talked on the phone a few times, he sends money and gifts but they don't have a relationship.

her mom threw herself into work and was barely around, deeming sienna old enough to fend for herself.

her mom never really wanted kids so jisoo was able to be a wild child for a bit (still is sorta)

she faded from the spotlight and developed her interest more, jisoo always liked attention so becoming an idol was her new goal. in trying out her skills, she was a good performer and leaned well into rap and dance but she doesn't consider herself a horrible vocalist.

she was 15 when she joined the company, after calming down her ways a bit

she joined a company and there were red flags but her debut came fast! due to lack of funds, they had to build the group themselves really and the company banked on her former fame. her training period had only been six months

honestly, the group didn't do horrible but there were long breaks between comebacks and then it came out the company was a front for money laundering.

they disbanded when she was 17, so a good two year run

wild child bloomed then, more partying, drinking and smoking. at one point she had dreams but now she was aimless, doing what she could to get attention with no goals.

this was channeled into making her own music but it's not something she shared, she still enjoyed busking and dancing and hanging out in the 'underground' scene but it amounted to nothing

the adults around her didn't care and those that would, jisoo was good at putting up a front

she's an out-going girl, maybe a little desperate to be liked at times. she doesn't manage her anger well in that it she bottles it up until it explodes on the right or wrong perso

she was 19 when she finally moved to japan to be with her father and his new family and it just did not go well at all, jisoo didn't change, she was burden to him and by the time she was 21, she was back in seoul

she re-connected with a past friend and/or her cousin and joined as a trainee

she's happy to debut but doesn't really like the concept but who can be picky right?

i have plans in the future for an attitude scandal / past bullying thing

not that she was a bully but she would give as good as she got and even more. revenge doesn't need to be served cold as long as it's served.

she's good to those she likes and vile to those she hates.

a girl who teeters the edge and could easily slip into 'mean' girl mode

her sense of humor is a little dark, morbid

a soft grunge girl who loves one piece and the sims, horror moves, thrillers but can also wallow in self-induce misery if you catch her on the right day.

one great love, would've been when she was 18-19 and dated for a year, they broke up with her. could've been a player or even jisso was too intense as a girl friend (extreme opposite of her parents loveless marriage) and they couldn't take it

a boy who was a player, played with her and then broke up with her by dating someone new...they meet again and he doesn't realize it's her

i could also see her being cold in a relationship and that being a killer one as well
