Another lovely cover design. Using A Perfect Vacuum, 'Killing Mary Sue', a collection of stories by Adachi Hirotaka, (also known by Otsuichi and Nakata Eiichi) published by Asahi Shimbun Press. Makes me happy.
Foundation Oil on Board 2015 We'll be doing a print of this piece soon, details to come!
Up closer to Fury 2
Up close on 'Fury 1'. Colours and tones are a little off, that's what comes with shooting work yourself!
'Fury 1' currently on the easel. Nice to have small experimental pieces going whilst I work on two large and time consuming paintings.

'Fury 2' On the easel (work in progress), part of an experimental series I'm playing around with.

And also done being varnished.
Varnished. Often both the most stressful and satisfying few minutes in the whole process of making the painting.

The palette I'm working with for my current painting - made up from mars black, cobalt blue, thaline blue, pyrollo red, rose lake, mars yellow, yellow ochre, cadnium yellow light and titanium white. I use an old kidney palette which i attach to a tripod, easy to position into exactly the place I need for the day.
Painting and math - the only way I could figure out how to get the right perspectives when the vanishing points are outside my studio walls :/
A upclose shot of the brushmarks.
