Ohio sent the message tonight. We are tired of negative campaigning! John Kasich is the calm, yet strong voice needed to unite our country! Listen to his positive, empowering speech and then go to www.JohnKasich.com to check out his plans for our country! :D <3
5 Things you didn’t know about Kelly Zekas:
1. When I was 19 my favorite book boyfriend was killed off and I was so wrecked I called my college boyfriend sobbing at 3am.
2. I was in a music video for MGMT and you can see me for approximately .5 seconds.
3. I have been blessed by an elephant.
4. I had to take dance in college for my acting degree and was often asked to come off to the side after we learned a combination so I could be taught it again, but slower.
5. Tarun and I will argue till the end of days over who received a higher grade in our freshman year writing class.

5 Things you didn’t know about Tarun Shanker:
1. My friends and I spent the last few months of high school making a movie that required sneaking into parking garages, a cemetery, and onto the rooftop of a pizza place. We also filmed from the hood of a slow-moving car. We did a lot of stupid things for a movie that seven people ended up watching.
2. India is the only country outside of the US that I’ve visited. I am annoyed about this fact.
3. I spent one ridiculous high school summer reading 35 years worth of X-men comics. I think I went through about 1,000 issues and that still wasn’t close to covering everything in that universe.
4. Kelly and I met a couple weeks into a college freshman writing class when we were each supposed to peer critique essays that were randomly arranged in a pile. I thought I was editing hers until I handed it to her, told her it was great and she said, “…my name isn’t Katie.” This was a 12 person class.
5. I share the same birthday as These Vicious Masks!

5 things you didn’t know about Harriet Reuter Hapgood, author of The Square Root of Summer
1. I wrote a book when I was 18! It was called Trailing Clouds of Glory, about a university for Biblical-ninja-spy-conspiracy-assassin-somethings? It was… not very good and remains on a floppy disc (a 90s version of a USB stick) somewhere.
2. My favourite Olsen is Mary-Kate.
3. I have a tattoo in French – the first two lines from the poem “À Peine Défigurée”, from which 1950s teen classic Bonjour Tristesse got its title.
4. Average No. of burritos consumed per week: two. I have some sort of internal guacdar for the nearest good Mexican food. Woo me with tacos and I’m yours for life.
5. For my fashion journalism MA creative project, I made an encyclopaedia of teen TV – Buffy, Dawson’s, V-Mars, The OC, Gilmores, One Tree Hill. All illustrated in felt-tip pen, natch.

This is what it means to love someone. This is what it means to grieve someone. It’s a little bit like a black hole. It’s a little bit like infinity.
Gottie H. Oppenheimer is losing time. Literally. When the fabric of the universe around her seaside town begins to fray, she’s hurtled through wormholes to her past:
To last summer, when her grandfather Grey died. To the afternoon she fell in love with Jason, who wouldn’t even hold her hand at the funeral. To the day her best friend Thomas moved away and left her behind with a scar on her hand and a black hole in her memory.
Although Grey is still gone, Jason and Thomas are back, and Gottie’s past, present, and future are about to collide—and someone’s heart is about to be broken.
With time travel, quantum physics, and sweeping romance, The Square Root of Summer is an exponentially enthralling story about love, loss, and trying to figure it all out, from stunning debut YA voice, Harriet Reuter Hapgood.

Griffin Teen recommends The Star-Touched Queen by Roshani Chokshi
Cursed with a horoscope that promises a marriage of Death and Destruction, sixteen-year-old Maya has only earned the scorn and fear of her father’s kingdom. Content to follow more scholarly pursuits, her world is upheaved when her father, the Raja, arranges a wedding of political convenience to quell outside rebellions. But when her wedding takes a fatal turn, Maya becomes the queen of Akaran and wife of Amar. Yet neither roles are what she expected. As Akaran’s queen, she finds her voice and power. As Amar’s wife, she finds friendship and warmth. But Akaran has its own secrets - thousands of locked doors, gardens of glass, and a tree that bears memories instead of fruit. Beneath Akaran’s magic, Maya begins to suspect her life is in danger. When she ignores Amar’s plea for patience, her discoveries put more than new love at risk - threatening the balance of all realms, human and Otherworldly. Now, Maya must confront a secret that spans reincarnated lives and fight her way through the dangerous underbelly of the Otherworld if she wants to protect the people she loves.
