A few weeks ago I posted about this Kodak Baby Brownie camera my dad sent me. It was given to me by my Granny who said it belonged to her brother in law in the 1930s and it hasn’t been used since then. I got a roll of 400ISO 127 film and shot the first roll in this camera in almost 90 years.

This photo of Dallas Green from Alexisonfire/City and Colour was taken a few moments after the final show of a month long cross Canada tour in late 2010 which I was asked to come along and document for them. This ended up being their final tour before announcing early the following year that they were breaking up. They ended up doing a farewell tour later that year and have done a few reunion shows over the last 8 years and then a few months ago they announced that they were back and releasing new music which was very exciting news for all of their fans, myself included. This has been one of my favourite photos of Dallas ever since I took it but I have never posted it online until now. I figure now that they are back it would be a cool time to put it out into the world. Strangely enough, aside from the short living room performance in Srombo’s living room on February 16th, I haven’t actually seen them play a full show since the one I took this photo at until last week when they played Budweiser Stage here in Toronto.

I just finished watching When They See Us on Netflix and if you haven’t seen it yet you really should get on that. One of the stars of the show is the incredible Michael K. Williams who I was fortunate enough to photograph during TIFF 2019 at the premiere of The Public so I figured now is a great time to share this photo.
