Adios, 2021.
It's been a great ride, 2021. Despite the current pandemic and monthly changes in the lockdown protocols, everything was where it should be, FOR ME.
Having to face the computer almost 15 hours a day for almost the entire year may be BAD but nevertheless, I WAS PRODUCTIVE. Sure, there were missed opportunities, but THERE-WERE-NO-REGRETS.
What are my biggest accomplishments this year?
To start - I CAN WALK AGAIN. Without any assistive aids that is. If you can recall, I had my hip replacement in December 2020 but I still had to use my crutches for a couple or so months. And come February 2021, Dr. Lim (my cutey Chinese (?) surgeon), finally let me go. Let go, as in, how a parent lets go of a toddler's hand right when he/she is about to take that first step. YUP, it was exactly like that. HAHA!
2nd - I had my braces. AGAIN.
3rd - DISCIPLESHIP. Yes. Finally. Been putting it off for quite some time but it was God's timing all along. What's great is, my best friend since grade school was actually the one destined to do it. Awesome, right?
4th - More time with Yosef. The discipleship actually made me realize that above all else, my son, Yosef, should be my priority. That's next to God of course. Yes, I was able to spend more time with Yosef this 2021. After 10 years, it's only this year did I realize that PARENTING is actually a hard pill to swallow and it's never going to be easy. I am a work in progress. I'm a MOM in progress.
5th - I got myself insured. Well, I've been trying for so long but insurance agencies had been rejecting/putting my application on hold since I had some ortho issues but you know what the silver lining is? These rejections actually made me realize how important insurance is. The constant rejections made me research and study what the best policy is for me until I ended up being a financial advisor myself. This brings me to my 6th accomplishment.
6th - I am a Financial Advisor so I need to do some advising to myself. LOL. But no kidding, I passed the Insurance Commission Licensure Examination on November 2021 and will be a coded SunLife Financial Advisor by January 2022. Wish me luck. *wink*
These are by far, the major accomplishments that I had this 2021 but there are still several minor ones on the sidelines.
So. YES. It has been a very wonderful, fruitful, and BLESSED 2021.
Not I, but the grace of God.
