GOSSIP GIRL | “EASY J”
Oh, wow. When I was five, I was in a peewee soccer team called the West Chesapeake Valley Thunderbolts sponsored by Shane’s Tire Shop. We won zero games, and one time, this girl, Mindy, she did a poo at midfield.

PRETTY LITTLE LIARS MEME [1/6] six dynamics | Caleb, Hanna and Lucas
On the tracks. It rang alarm bells in Kol’s mind, but at least he had a location. It’d be easier to track Finnick’s scent in the open, with the wind carrying it down the tunnel. He could be with him within minutes. “Sounds to me like you were prying in business that wasn’t your own,” Kol spat, although arguably, it was unjustified. Jesse had been smart enough to seek him out, decent enough, despite the punch he’d received. If it weren’t for him, Kol may have gotten there too late. The thought turned his stomach, so he nodded in Jesse’s direction, a genuine sign of gratitude. “Remind me that I owe you a favour. Perhaps I’ll fix up that ghastly nose of yours, you look even more pathetic than usual.” Not a second later, he pushed Jesse out of the way, before using his enhanced speed to dash down the corridor, picturing his way outside the Nut.
Jesse scoffed at the response, feeling its familiarity. As they had been with Finnick, Jesse’s intentions were often pure, but, unfortunately, were also often misconstrued, and he was growing fucking tired of it. “Fuck off,” he muttered, swiping at the blood that dripped down his chin with the sleeve of his jumper. With urgent matters to attend to, there was no point arguing about it right then, but it left Jesse feeling even more miserable about his current situation than he had been earlier. Right then, a favour from the vampire was the last thing he wanted, so he shrugged. ”Yeah, great, whatever.” But not a moment later, Jesse was being shoved again. This time, he went with the motion, sliding down the wall in defeat. “— Fuck’s sake. You’re welcome, asshole!”
//.
Kol was about to make a snide remark, impatience already nagging at him, until Jesse stumbled along the words ‘your buddy’. With Annie hospitalised, and his relationship with Scott currently strained, there was only one person applicable to the word. Finnick. Kol’s jaw tightened, rapidly overcome with an overbearing sense of responsibility and worry. The rambling certainly wasn’t helping, making it difficult for Kol to understand the key details, and his temper got the worst of him. He reached out, grabbing Jesse by the collar of his t-shirt, yanking him forward in an attempt to stop the flurry of unnecessary vocabulary.
Kol’s own heartbeat began to rise with the panic, and he cursed himself for his own absence. It never should’ve gotten to this, he shouldn’t have let Finnick out of his sight for a second, not until Annie had recovered. Even now, years after their relationship had started, Kol still made mistakes. But despite feeling all of this, Kol succeeded in not letting it show, the role of caretaker strengthening his mask as it had done so many times before. “Down where? Where is he?” He spoke through gritted teeth, his eyes unblinking, even as he observed the swelling on Jesse’s nose. If it were any other situation, Kol might’ve laughed about his fragility, but there was nothing humorous about this. If Finnick was hurting others, there was something severely wrong. He needed to find his brother, fast.
“— Hey!” Jesse yelped, surprised by the forceful yank, staggering forward. “Let me go, man, I’m just tryin’ to fuckin’ help.” But his plea had little effect on the Original, grip unchanging as he stared him down. If the situation hadn’t been so serious, Jesse would’ve put up a fight, even if he’d have lost. He hated being manhandled. Shooting the vampire a glare, face aching, he answered truthfully. “He’s on the tracks, up top. He must’ve jumped down or somethin', but I couldn’t get him to move again. ‘Kay? That’s all, now get off — ” Jesse shoved again, stumbling backward as he was finally let go. “Bitch.”
Kol was propped up on his sofa, reading a copy of Hamlet he’d managed to find in an old collection of books. He was reminiscing about the days where he’d compelled people to perform the play for him, smirking as his eyes glanced over the words. He grew distracted, though, when he heard heavy footsteps down the corridor, accompanied with the scent of dried blood. With a narrowed expression, Kol looked up and towards the direction of the door, hearing the accompanied knock a moment later.
Upon realising who it was, and registering what the man had said, Kol had half a mind to tell him to leave or get his heart ripped from his chest. He hadn’t forgotten their disagreement in Paraiso, and he didn’t appreciate having his first moment of peace in months disturbed. But the reason for Jesse seeking him out in the first place had sparked his curiosity, so Kol emptied his hands and slowly made his way over, taking his time as if to prove a point. He opened his door, crossing his arms over his chest and leaning against the frame, his tone sharp and impatient. “What could you possibly want?”
Squeezing the bridge of his nose, Jesse leant his head against the wall as he waited, impatience growing with every second. The asshole could move at the speed of light but was now taking nine hundred years to reach the door? “Yo, bitch, it’s gettin’ hella serious out here!” With his free hand, Jesse bashed on the door again, genuinely worried the vampire wasn’t in. It wasn’t like the blonde had a back-up plan. He had no idea who Finnick’s other connections were except for maybe some other Victors, and didn’t want to draw attention to himself by asking around for help either. Just as he’d begun fretting, glancing down the empty hallway, the vampire opened the door.
“Jesus, you were seriously in there this whole time? Did you have a freakin’ shower and a nap before you opened the door? Look — your buddy’s chuckin’ up all over the place.” Gesturing madly in his urgency, Jesse cut off, wincing at the pain now ebbing through his face. Realising he’d let go, he applied pressure to his nose again before continuing on. “He’s.. I don’t even know what, he’s just freaking the hell out. I tried to like, chill him out and get him back up, back on the platform, but he just came at me. And I remembered you guys are close, right? He’s talked about you. It’s like.. like PTSD, right? Dude, you gotta go now, I couldn’t get him up, but it’s really not safe down there.”
