Being a young professional was one of my biggest dream in life. And at the age of 21 I was able to reach that goal being a registered social worker, dealing and helping people in the community. Many was asking why would I like to change the career path I am into at present where in fact my job already landed in line with the course profession I graduated with. If you were also wondering why, let me share with you this.
So, I'm Jessica J. Caminan an agent of change; social worker by profession and a community servant by passion. I am currently taking up Professional Education Certificate aiming to serve not just my future students but the society as a whole by teaching in our community.
As a young professional, I believe that success is not the key to happiness yet happiness is the key to success. If you love what you do, you will be successful. I've been into community serving for many years from my younger days before I enter the life of being a social worker. I can't even imagine doing any other job than working with people and helping the community make the change they need to make their lives a little easier. Stepping in to peoples life and making difference would always make you feel fulfilled. Here you would see the reality of how life begins and how life could end. But my favorite part was working directly with children; chasing their dreams, building their trust and making difference in their life.
Before I enter the profession of helping others, I was one's a dreamer of being a future teacher. And being a teacher was not just a profession and an ambition for me, but a passion to serve and be part of the future anyone would like to be. And as a Catalyst I always believe in the inherent worth and dignity of each individual in the society. Giving the children and their family the right to equality and opportunity to empowerment through knowledge and learning is one way to promote and enhance their capacity and capability equally.
No matter what profession when you have the passion, you could always be an inspiration to the younger generation.
