The Call // Jess and Colton: Present Day
Colton rolled his eyes some at her statement. “Well what would make me happy is for you to leave me the fuck alone,” he pointed out plainly. Hadn’t he made that clear to her before? He grumbled slightly, slowly shifting so that he could get into the wheelchair. “I’m not even hungry, so it doesn’t matter.” He wasn’t going to eat her cooking and he really didn’t want to take the time to pick something else up. “Why don’t you just leave me with the guys? They’re my family now and they’ll be there for me. I don’t need you around, Jessica.” Or maybe it was more like he didn’t want to be a burden on her, but he wasn’t going to say that.
Jess sighed and shot him one of her annoyed looks. "Well, too bad." She sat his belongings on his lap. Jess pushed his hair out of his face softly before shaking her head and putting her hands back on the chair. "You have to eat something. You'll feel worse if you don't. Trust me on that, at least." She pulled the chair back so that he was facing the door. She pushed him out in the hallway and toward the elevator. At least he got in the chair. That had to mean something, right? "I would, but even though they love you, they wouldn't be able to stop you from leaving." She took a deep breath. "I know you don't need me around. You've made that perfectly clear Colton."

The Call // Jess and Colton: Present Day
Colton raised an eyebrow slightly at the blonde’s response. She was just going to be able to do that, share him? Maybe she really had changed while he was passed out. He didn’t know what to think now. Maybe he didn’t mean as much as to her as he had thought he did; maybe everything was just out of obligation or something. “Fine, whatever,” he mumbled out, refusing to look at her now. He pushed her away slightly, not wanting her near him either. With the way it seemed now, he wasn’t sure that he would want anything to do with her again. How did he know if she wasn’t just interested in his fame now? She seemed to change a lot after all.
Jess narrowed her eyes at his look. Was he judging her or doubting her? "I'd do anything to make you happy. Especially since I almost lost you twice." She said softly, looking away from him. She held the wheelchair out for him to get in to. Now, let's go. I'll make you something great to eat for dinner. Whatever you want." She smiled softly, hoping he'd cooperate and get in the chair. "We could always pick you up something too, if you'd rather. My cooking hasn't gotten any better, but I can still make that spaghetti you liked." She was rambling. She knew she was rambling but she couldn't stop. She just hoped he wouldn't fight her on anything.
The Call // Jess and Colton: Present Day
Colton shook his head a little bit. He didn’t like how she was just able to clear a room; with other people in the room it would be easier for him to turn her down, at least he thought so. His eyes closed slightly, swallowing hard at her suggestion. She wanted sex? Of course, he wanted sex, especially with her, but that would only make it harder when she did eventually leave; she always left after all. He swallowed some, trying to think of way for her to change her mind. “Only if you can find a little girlfriend to add in the mix too,” he mumbled out, trying just to piss her off.
Jess smirked a bit when the nurse left. At least she still had the ability to scare the people that annoyed her. At least, some of them. She watched him closely as he closed his eyes, hoping he would agree to it. Jess clenched her jaw when he said something about bringing in someone else. She took a deep breath and smirked at him before running her lips over his jaw. "I'm sure I can find someone willing to join us. As long as I get you by myself first." She whispered back. She was lying, but he didn't have to know that. She wouldn't share him with someone like that, but she wanted him to come with her. Even if it meant he broke her heart all over again.
The Call // Jess and Colton: Present Day
Colton shook his head a little bit; he didn’t even want her to be there for the night. He couldn’t afford to let her in again; he wasn’t right for her after all. He was the worse person in the world for her honestly. Why couldn’t anything ever be simple? Why did she seem to have to make it so damn challenging for him? “I don’t want you there even for the night,” he told her stubbornly, crossing his arms slightly as he did so. He shook his head some, looking at the nurse. “Can we please get security? She doesn’t have permission to sign me out or be in this room.”
Jess pursed her lips as she looked at him. The jackass was being too stubborn. Didn't he realize that this was hard for her too? She shot the nurse a glare, causing them to leave the room before Jess turned back to him. She stepped close to him and leaned down, lips brushing his ear. "Come on Colton. Let me take care of you one last time." She whispered, nipping at his earlobe a bit. She couldn't think of any other way to get him to come with her, other than knocking him out and dragging him out, but that wouldn't work. She wanted him to come willingly. At least a little.
The Call // Jess and Colton: Present Day
Colton rolled his eyes some. “I don’t wanna be stuck with you,” he mumbled back to her. Being stuck with her would mean that he was use to her being around again, so when she left, which was going to happen as far as he was concerned, he was going to have to learn how to be without her again. “Fine. I’ll go to rehab. That would be better than living with you,” he sneered out at her. Even if it meant going through detox alone and not having outside contact, it would probably be easier than getting use to her being around again and then losing her again.
Jess faltered a bit, eyes stinging from tears she tried to hold in. Being in rehab would be better than being near her? Really? She took a deep breath, eyes closing as she tried to figure out what to do next. "Still being able to go out and see people would be worse than going to rehab? I don't believe that, but fine. I'll take you home and research the best rehab centers in LA. I'll stay with you the night then bring you there myself in the morning." She grabbed the chair from the nurse when he came back in and turned to face Colton. "Come on. We're leaving." She pushed the chair toward him and tilted her head toward it.
The Call // Jess and Colton: Present Day
Colton looked at her for a minute, shaking his head a little bit. “I have nothing to prove to you,” he told her coldly. He knew that he couldn’t do what she was asking, but he wasn’t going to show her that either. He only had something to prove to himself, maybe, and he would do that later when he was all by himself. Why did everyone want to try and make him do things?
"Then you're stuck with me." She hissed, smiling sweetly when a male nurse came in with what she asked for. "We just need a wheelchair and we're ready to go. Could you get that for me please?" Jess tilted her head, not ashamed that she was flirting a tiny bit to get what she wanted. She spun around to look at Colton as soon as the nurse left, her expression instantly changing. "It's either you let me take care of you for a few days, or you go to rehab where you won't be able to check yourself out. You won't be able to charm yourself out either. They're all used to that. Choose one Colton."
The Call // Jess and Colton: Present Day
Colton stubbornly nodded his head. “Yeah, I would let your make your own decisions, just like you should let me make mine.” He wasn’t about to budge on that no matter what she did. He pulled his hand away from her, shaking his head a little bit. He really didn’t want her to be gone forever, but he also didn’t want her take care of him. That would be him being weak and he was anything but weak, at least that’s what he thought. So she would just have to go do something else. “They’ll be fine. I don’t even need anyone.”
Jess sighed as she stared at him. How could she make him see that he wasn't alright. "Okay. If you can walk to the door and back to the bed by yourself without holding on to anything, you can take care of yourself. If not, I'm taking care of you. Deal?" She pouted slightly at him, hoping he'd take the bait. There was no way he'd be able to make it to the door on his own. Hopefully if he did that, he'd be able to see that he wasn't alright.
