Did a stroke/flower study today with an extender medium. It’s quickly become my new fave piece. This was a test run for a much larger painting. I’m happy with it so I’m going to move forward with a 20x24 flower piece. This was 9x12.

Sprout & Background Practice

My first sprite. I love her.
And my most recent drawing. Done on cast 2 weeks ago. Roughly took 4 hours. 2B graphite pencil and a charcoal pencil used w/ paper blender and eraser. I’m very proud of this one. Used a picture of an owl as a reference.
I decided it was time to really sit down and attempt something. Used a real owl as a reference. Not bad for a first attempt. This was Mid April. 17th I think? Took an hour.
I was taking care of a sick friend who also happens to be an artist and we were challenging each other to certain doodles. I got a fish doodle. Terrible at faces still, but I’m fond of how the fins turned out.
My neighbor has a garden so I ended up doing a small sketch.
