Come Home My Inner Voice Whispered, Return to Yourself

As the sun breaches the horizon in the eastern sky, 

new birth is born,

a gasp for air,

the sun traces the earths surface, 

penetrating and nurturing all that sprouts from this place, 

hope, 

she is no different then the tree next to her,

they stand tall, rooted and

digest each others oxygen,

they exist during this same life and

have a lot to learn from one another.

I wanted to absorb all the oxygen that mother earth exhaled on that island,

the salty ocean air,

the fresh jungle moisture,

the worlds of shells and corals,

I wanted the purity of the island to absorb me and 

breath me back out into the world,

I imagined the island consuming me, 

purifying me and washing me ashore,

with a greater sense of self,

to be one with all and all with one,

to allow walls to fall and curtains to open

one could reveal them self as the sky looked backStatement
