My FIRST YouTube Tutorial!
A natural simple yet shimmery natural makeup look using Urban Decay's Midnight Emergency Kit. A great way to add some shine to your everyday look!
FUCK YEAH
Urban Decay's Midnight Emergency Kit. It comes with 4 eyeshadows, a case with a mirror, a brush, and a full size lip junkie lip gloss.
Shadows Midnight Cowboy: A peachy champagne shimmer with glitter Midnight Rodeo: A warm medium brown shimmer with glitter Midnight 15: A pale champagne shimmer with glitter AC/DC: A violet satin
Lip Gloss Midnight Cowboy: A sparkling champagne nude
I showed this to my mom and she decided to order herself one from Urban Decay online. Its on sale for $22 currently. Something to be aware of is that all of the shadows (excluding AC/DC) will have fall out so you should either do your eyes before your face makeup or pack on the shadows instead of swiping them. Always remember to tap off the excess!
Urban Decay's Eyeshadow in Strip.
Its a metallic blue gray silver shimmer.
Like all of Urban Decay's other shadows, Strip is super pigmented and lovely.
So uh I'm going to make a video today and possibly post it on youtube. Like maybe... or something.
Advice?
HauteLook haul!
Urban Decay was on Hautelook a few weeks ago and here is what I got.
XL All Nighter Setting Spray
Midnight Emergency Palette/Kit
Vintage Eyeshadow in Strip
California haul!
I was down in California for 11 days this past week and while I was there I picked up a few things. Now in Washington there is seriously nowhere to buy OCC products and I was lusting after some lip tars. Luckily for me there happened to be a salon 4 minutes away from my hotel in Beverly Hills that sold OCC products. I picked up two lip tars and 2 loose pigments. Unfortunately for me they were sold out of a lot of things so I was limited as to what I could buy so these are the things I purchased.
Loose Shadows Platonic: A sparkly pale pink Artifact: A reddish brown shimmer
Lip Tars Femme: A light yellow based pink (matte) Vintage: A deep blue based red (matte)
A note about lip tars: They are extremely pigmented! You only need a tiny drop to cover your lips. Use sparingly. As these are matte you should exfoliate your lips and apply a lip balm before applying the color or else your lips will look like saggy grandma tits (trust me).
I also picked up a waterproof mascara because I actually didn't own one. After looking at some reviews I decided on L'Oreal's Double Extend Waterproof mascara. It has two steps. One is the white end. This applies a white coat to the ends of your lashes to extend them. Two is the blue. This applies the waterproof mascara. It creates long lashes that stay. I went on water rides with this and was pleased with the result.
I decided to put the Too Faced eyeliner in another post along with an Essence cream eyeshadow that I picked up at a different time.
Essence Stay All Day Long Lasting Eyeshadow in 02 Glammy Goes To... this is a metallic gold cream eyeshadow and seriously it STAYS. I tested it out on both eyes, one with primer and one without. Neither eye creased and I was amazed to say the least. I have oily lids during the summer and usually everything creases on me with out a primer (AND SOMETIMES WITH). It was $4 and worth every penny.
Too Faced’s Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Perfect black. I watched icallitambrosia (87daysbefore)'s review on a palette that came with a full size of this eyeliner and she gave it a great review and demonstrated that it DOES NOT smudge (after it sets). It is the blackest of black. The swatch I have is ONE swipe. ONE. That is amazing. It is super creamy and glides on like a dream. I was in desperate need of a new black eyeliner. The one I had was like 6 years old. Thank god for Too Faced.
Sort of a random Sephora haul. I went in with my mom because she wanted to pick up a primer and I decided to pick up a few things too.
I got:
Smith's Rosebud Salve, the original one. It is very creamy and SUPER glossy and feels kinda oily? Strange. It smells like rose petals, go figure.
The Body Shop's Coconut body butter. It smells of coconut and shea and I really am not a fan. It smells good in the pot and then when I put it on my hands I just don't like it. Odd. It also makes my hands feel oily.
Too Faced's Perfect Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner in Perfect black.
Supergoop! Everyday Face & Body moisturizer. I picked this up on a whim because it was only $7 and I needed a new moisturizer. It says it has SPF in it but doesn't stand up to regular sunscreen. Also, when used on the face it can make you look SUPER oily. Like SHINY AS SHIT. It can pass off well under foundation but you are better off using it on your body.
Sephora's Platinum Airbrush brush 55. This brush was recommended to me buy a friend. It was also half off so I was like why not.
I can't wait to try everything out!
Hey so I'm back. I have a couple haul posts, swatches, reviews, and a whats-in-my-vacation-makeup-bag.
Get ready!
So I went into Sephora on a whim (as usual) and I was looking around and I found myself at the Urban Decay display. Sephora had moved the single eyeshadows to make room for the new Naked skin foundation. I was looking over it and I saw my one true love UD's Mushroom and I was like today is the day that I am going to buy you. So I did and I bought UD's Scratch as well.
I think I have a problem.
Anyways Mushroom is this gorgeous gray with like brown undertones shimmer that is so creamy and blends like amazing.
Scratch is like a light peachy pink shimmer that can be universally flattering.
Both are SO pigmented and creamy and just luscious okay I can't even handle it.
Urban Decay has some of the BEST eyeshadows ever and if I could I would roll around in Mushroom all day everyday.
They retail at $18 per shadow and you can purchase them at Sephora or online at Urban Decay's online site.
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I'm leaving for California on Friday and I want to build up a queue so I have waited to post swatches and pictures so that you have things to look at for 10 days without me
Lips!
I got a Wet N' Wild lipstick in 970 Purty Persimmon which is a bright matte orange. I also got a free Wet N' Wild lip liner with it in 666 (HaHAHAha) Brandy Wine which is sort of a shimmery rust color.
I bought one regular Wet N' Wild lipstick in 901B Think Pink. It is a nude peach pink color and is completely matte.
Also while walking through the isles I saw a display of Sinful Colors nail polishes and there was a display above it of lip glosses by Sinful Colors. This lilac-y pale pink stood out to me and for $2.99 I thought why not? It is 2296 Pucker Up Baby.
Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Trio Eye Shadow in 761 Sapphire Moonstone
Eyes!
I got a Rimmel London eyeshadow trio in 761 Sapphire Moonstone. It comes with a baby light pink that has slight shimmer, a deep navy blue with shimmer, and a shimmery black. I really like doing deep navy smokey eyes and this palette looked like something that would work really well for that.
I also picked up a Maybelline Great Lash mascara in Blink of Blue. Its one of the limited edition colored mascara. It is a deep navy blue and there was a teal, purple, and green as well.
