this is an extension to the exploration into nudity in art history. 

inspired by birth of Venus - rules imposed on this piece to make female nudity ‘modest’/ acceptable 

how does this pose affect how the art was perceived

in response to birth of venus 

i wanted to question modern femist sexuality within art today opposed to old fashioned 

i have doesn't  this piece with layers of plaster painted onto canvas. distorting traditional methods. it also related back to my earlier work on impressions left in space 

its important to me that you can still see the  finger imprints on this piece almost like a signature.

through out my inital investoigations i took sacred geometry as a inspiration and the idea of connections and these invisble ties that connect us. 

i have used round condom packets to recreate the flower of life. the building blocks of life. ive doen this intentionally as the comdom stops life being created but it also in the act of sex makes us feel connected

i casted anal beads for this as its a universal sex toys, it does not matter the gender of the user. i have incopared things such as condoms, tobacco and vodka labels to create a story within the cast. its almost like a lifestyle. 

what i really like about the casting process was the fact that the anal bead itself is now unusabkle and the function/ meaning has been taken away

it was quite funny casting these in my bedroom  . my dad and brother came in whist they were drying 

theres abit of a running joke between me and my dad were everything i make usally falls to bits or breaks 

so my dads walking in like ey up they havent fallene apart so were talking aabout it he still hasnt realised what they are and then  my older brother walked in and just went
