140729 bts in stockholm - fan account
Hello! Long time no see! This is just me randomly posting a fan account.... xD
It's not really a fan account, more like a rant xD
So the BTS concert was amazing! Problem is… I don't really remembet that much about it. I wasn't THAT execited for the concert when it was The Day. I don't know why, because I really really like BTS - I find their music strong and meaningful. I was happy and anticipating it but I wasn't super excited xD Anyway, back to the concert day! So like… I love that Kpop Nonstop are actually able to bring us kpop groups all the way to Stockholm, Sweden, but because these kind of event arrangements are pretty new there are of course many problems. Once again, I like and respect Kpop Nonstop's work but there are so many problems too and I'd just like to convey my opinions on what I think they need to improve on for the next kpop concert.
So, well… first of… I don't really like that they released the queue system at 1 am on the very same day as the actual concert was being held on. Luckily my friends and I were awake at that hour so we could see this, and that's why we got a chance to get "better" standing spots. The queue system was very similar to the way you would queue for music shows in S.Korea. So, you go there super early to get a number and then you can go wherever but have to be back at certain hours to check off your number. It's to be honest a bit bothersome to go back once in a while to check off your number. Especially since you might not have the subway/bus money to go back and forth all the time, because maybe you don't want to wait at the venue for 10 hours. Maybe. Okay, I sound bitter but it wasn't THAT bad. I had a one-week-bus-and-subway-card so it didn't really matter that much.
Eventually time flew by quickly and we were finally actually lining up for the concert. Wow, there was a lot of people there!! Mostly girls, but that's how things are. Earlier that day we left our sticky notes questions to the staff and my question was really lame (and unfortunately not picked LOL) "It's so hot! What are the members' favorite drink during the warm summer?". Something like that. Very embarrassing to be honest xD I'm not good with these kind of questions LOL
Early access got to go in first, I had a general access ticket BUT also a high 5 ticket :) I had mixed feelings about the high 5 xD To be honest with you guys, I'm short on money and I've been it ever since the summer started OTL I was wondering whether I should have sold my high 5 ticket or not since I'd get some cash back but in the end I kept it. And well, it was alright - more about that later!
The concert was held in a big hall for mini concerts. Since the tickets were for standing spots everyone tried to push all the people closer to the scene, so that they could see BTS better. But the funny thing is that no matter how much you tried to get closer to the stage (which was possible) you didn't see that much. UNLESS. You were tall. Yep. Yep. And I'm not tall. I'm 153 cm or something. Super short. But I wasn't the shortest one, I saw younger and shorter kids there. I feel sorry for them because I felt sorry for myself. I don't know how much I can complain about this since some might say "you should have bought early access tickets to get a better spot then" or "you should have tried to stand at a different spot" or something else but… like… that's not fair either. I bought my tickets and I deserved the right to see BTS clearly from the spot I chose to stand on. This is so sad ;___; I was excited to see the boys dance because their choreography is awesome but I could only see their heads - at best. This is my biggest regret and sadness, also disappointment, with the concert. Audio was awesome, they sounded awesome, they were super nice, playful and cute but damn… I couldn't see them. I saw Rapmon's head the best and the most because he's the tallest. I saw the least of Suga and Jungkook? For real, I only saw their heads for 80% of the concert and that's about it. Luckily, I have this tall and super nice friend who carried me up so that I could see them all in one picture, from head to toe, at least 3 times during the concert. Now, I haven't been to many concerts so I don't really know if this is standard for short and average tall people. If it is like that then I don't really understand why it has to be like so. It's a bit… hm… unfair?
Anywaaaayyyy, they played their most popular songs and I tried to sing along to everyone because I didn't really learn the fanchants so yeaaaahhhh… xD One time when the crowd was relatively calm my friend carried me above everyone else (if you where there and saw an asian girl popping up fromt he crowd then that must have been me). Pretty sure Jin must have noticed me… Preeetty sure of it even though he didn't really look at me LOL But he was kind of in front of me at that moment HAHAHA. Jin is one of my favorites and I'm not too sure why. I screamed Jin's name the most during the concert :)
My throat got sore pretty quickly xD And we were sweating non stop. We didn't get any water either. Well, the ones in the front (and back?) got water but the staff just couldn't reach to us in the middle :)))))))) So what happened? Well, due to the pressure and heat plus lack of oxygen some girls fainted or were about to faint. This one girl next to me fained and we had to make room for her to lie down. Chaos indeed! But it all went well thanks to my friend.
Soooo, concert ended and it was time for the high 5 event! My sister and I had high 5 tickets and we got to meet BTS rather quickly because we were some of the first in line for the handshake. The boys are really handsome and really cute. Their hands are soft and smooth too LOL Very charming! But sadly we couldn't get pictures with them because Big Hit Entertainment didn't want that??? This is a big disappointment because I would have loved to get something MORE than just a "Hi!" and a double high 5 from each member. PLUS that the handshake was over within seconds? I only got to spend approx 10 seconds with each member?? xD ANYWAY, V that kid was really cute because he did a funny gesture when I high fived him LOL Child, what are you doing? And rapmon was very nice too! Uuuhh J-hope was funny (I don't remember anything tbh) but Jin you poop…….. I wanted to do a double high five but he had just one hand up in the air T_T So I awkwardly placed both my hands on his HAHA And he was a bit shy?? and tired, so he didn't respond that much OTL But I do remember that droplet of sweat on his face very clearly. Hmm…
So well, in conclusion. I don't remember that much xD I mean it's been weeks (a month??) since the concert so that's perhaps pretty given BUT I mean… I didn't remember that much the day after the concert xD There were like three or four moments I was super happy during the concert (one was when I smashed my hands in my face after the high 5). The rest was sadly a disappointment T______T I'm really sad to tell you all this but I'm being honest. I really dislike concerts with standing spots because I am very short. And I don't think it's fair when a much taller person pushes through and stands in front of me without any consideration that I miiiight just not see anything.
Kpop Nonstop, thank you for brining kpop groups to Sweden! But I do hope the concerts will get better in the future.
