One minute performance

For my one minute performance I decided to draw something, I drew Princess Hibana from the anime that I’m watching Fire Force , I enjoy drawing and it’s one of my favorite hobbies, may not be one of my best but I really liked it.

Love the soundtrack, great companion to the act of drawing. great idea, I enjoy watching the fluid motion while you draw, clear that you enjoy the subject matter and know it well.

4D One Minute Performance

I wasn’t too confident about posting this project if I’m being completely honest. I’ve always had issues with my appearance and sometimes my body just doesn’t look right to me. Sometimes my hands look too big, sometimes my face looks too long, and sometimes everything just looks alien to me. Even with those thoughts I chose to stare at myself in a mirror for this project. I think it’s important to look at yourself and see what your reaction is from time to time. I mean, we’re in this body until the day we die so we might as well live with it right?

I enjoy the idea, I as also pondering a one minute portrait as well, Andy Warhol style and all. The self image and perception is always a strange place to dive into, I don’t think that it makes a difference at all who you are, it all gets a little weird when you keep looking. Great idea, makes you think.

Art Project 2: The Loop

First off, you cannot go wrong with Beetlejuice, or Tim Burton for that matter.  I like that the movements of the characters are fast enough that they almost line up in a very Burton style. The fist loop in your series I think is the most successful, the repetition of his bouncing while be moves in both directions is a great sample to pull from. I do think that from a technical standpoint, at the end of the loop, if you were to clip it just a little shorter it may line up right back at the starting point. Otherwise I really enjoy the Beetlejuice series.

Disappearing Acts “Where Are They When We Need Them?”

For this project I decided to delete politicians from their positions because in the current political climate it feels like they disappeared from the ones that support them. However, it doesn’t matter how long ago it was, politicians have been disappearing when things get rough for many years. I think it would be appropriate for them to finally fill in the gaps.

Love the idea of the vanishing politicians. I think that unless you were one fo the really memorable ones, you do fade into obscurity. The use of different times works well, removing the subjects and letting the remaining supporting staff takes the focus off the who that you removed, forcing the viewer to evaluate and really consider the images. Nicely done.
