The doctor I had at the hospital had these huge — and I mean huge, like double D’s and I couldn’t even concentrate because they were right in my face and she was getting mad but I couldn’t help it, you know?”
"I remember that. It's definitely hard to concentrate on getting your leg snapped back into place when there's a nice pair of cans in your face. Did she smack you? Wouldn't be such a problem if you were an ass man."
"Was the doctor hot?"
"You know it's all about hot nurses, not doctors."

"Dude, awesome. Just what the doctor ordered."
Her eyes averted again at his questioning. Since when had it become so hard to keep a conversation with him, or even look him in the eyes? Normally, this would have went a different way. Playful banter, laughs and teasing, if she recalled correctly. Suddenly yearning for those simple moments when they were kids. He was trying, she knew he was but she couldn’t help but hold resentment towards him for leaving her behind so easily. “That’s good.” Forcing her voice to remain soft and untouched of any emotion, she finally let out a sigh in frustration at his latter question. “Let’s not pretend.” Her arms crossed over her chest and her gaze finally landed on his. “We can’t hold conversations without there being an underlaying message beneath each sentence. This is ridiculous.”
Jet nodded in agreement, but his face was sad. It might have been easier to go on pretending things were mostly normal between them, but it wouldn't get them anywhere. "Alright...no pretending." Jett sighed, glancing away from her. He knew this rift was completely his fault, he just didn't know how to even start fixing it. "I'm sorry, Stass," he said finally, looking back at her. "I messed up, and I was selfish, I know that. I just thought...it would be easier if I just cut ties with everyone. But it was a mistake." There had been so many times in Hawaii that Jett had wanted to tell Stassi and Wyatt about the things he was doing, the adventures he wished they could go on with him. But he never had the courage to face them, knowing he was in the wrong.
Don’t go getting your panties in a twist its not like I’m going around trying to play hero. I’m just wearing the hat. And you know what if I wanted to help out would it really be such an awful thing?
It's not about playing hero. It's about the years of training that goes into it and how much I dedicate to it, and you'd rather just poke fun at it. So yeah, give me my helmet back.
Leave what? Sitting around in a fireman’s hat? I mean if your really territorial over it, we may have cause for concern. Plus I look really good in this hat.
Why wouldn't I be territorial over my gear? You want to play fireman dress-up, stop at Toys R Us.Â
The air seemed to change around them and the once playful and easy-going atmosphere that surrounded the two had turned into something much more awkward and forced. Or, so it felt for Stassi. Pocketing the annoying device, her eyes travelled away from his gaze and landed on his hands for a brief moment in order to collect her thoughts. “It’s okay… ” She sighed. The tension was unnerving and she found that she wanted nothing more but to lash out at him for making it this way, but the normally kind and sweet girl kept her cool. “I haven’t seen you around in a while.” It wasn’t a question, but more of an attempt to try and be as polite as she could.Â
Jett hated that things had become so strained between him and his once best friend. He only had himself to blame for this situation, and Jett wasn't proud of what he'd done. He had simply been trying to make things easier for himself before making the move to Hawaii, but he hadn't thought about how just leaving would effect his friends. "Yeah, I'm working two jobs, things have been a little crazy lately..." Jett trailed off, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "How...how have you been?"
"Hmm well I’d say I look pretty good in this get up."
Why don't you leave that to me and Wyatt, dude.
Stassi wasn’t looking where she was heading, her attention was solely focused on trying to figure out how to function the new program on her phone with which she could order whatever she needed for the flower shop with a single click. Or, that’s what the tech guy had told her on the phone. It was becoming all the more clear that he’d lied to her. Before she could raise her head, the brunette felt her body collided with someone else, instantly stumbling back from the impact. “Sh— I’m so sorry,” The wolf immediately begun apologizing after catching her footing, slowly letting her gaze settle on the person she’d run into. “.. Jett.” She hadn’t seen him in what felt like forever— which could easily be explained by the fact that she’d been avoiding him and Wyatt. “I wasn’t looking.” The brunette concluded, standing up a little straighter now. “I’m sorry.”
Jett was in the middle of a Words with Friends game with Naomi that they had started while he was on duty at the firehouse. He was looking down at his phone as he walked, trying to figure out if his next move was even a word or not, when he bumped into someone. "Shit, sorry," he said hurriedly, looking up. Seeing Stassi in front of him came as a bit of a shock, but it was a small town and they were bound to bump into each other eventually. "Hey, Stassi..." he greeted a little cautiously. "Don't worry about it, I wasn't either...Sorry about that."
[text] Good point. She's been doing a trash talking. [text] But I kinda did too, so we gotta win. [text] I don't wanna sing.

Bad Moon Rising || Jett & Naomi
Naomi snuggled closer to Jett, giving him another squeeze as she looked up at him. “I love you too, Jay.” she reached up and wiped the tears from his cheeks. “You’ll be okay.” she assured him gently. “You can text me when you get there if you need a distraction.” She sat up, brushing a light kiss on his cheek as she did so, and plopped her hands on her knees. “Okay, let’s get you ready to go.” she suggested, still feeling nervous about letting him leave but knowing she had to.
She walked up to the art room and grabbed a ball of thick string, returning to loop it through the ring. She made an adjustable knot and held it up to Jett with a small smile. “There, so it’ll get bigger if you need it to.” she explained, carefully looping it around his neck.
She took a breath and turned around, walking into their kitchen.”Do you want enough for two nights?” she called to him, opening a cupboard and wiping at one of her eyes.She packed it in a small container and returned to the living room, a reassuring smile set on her lips as she gave Jett a hug. “Stay safe, love.” she said softly into his shoulder.
Jett nodded and took a shaky breath against her. It was going to be a rough two nights, but he had a reason to get through them now. "I will, I'll text you when I get there." When she got up, Jett wiped at the rest of his tears, taking a few moments to collect himself. He got up and grabbed his duffel bag again, filling with jeans and a few t-shirts and a hoodie.Â
When Naomi came back with the cord for the ring, Jett managed a small smile. "Yeah, I'll need that," he said, taking her hand. "Now you'll always know which wolf is me." He hoped Naomi would never have to see all the wolves together, but it made him feel a little better to joke a little.Â
"Yeah, tonight and tomorrow should be good." Jett felt another nervous flutter through his stomach at the thought of tomorrow, but he tried to ignore it at least until he got out of the apartment. Jett hugged her back, holding her close and resting his lips against her head. "I will. Promise."

Jett: Monopoly takes way too long. I give up on Monopoly.
Jett: I'm picking the game next time.
Jett: Yeah I'm off both. Class was cancelled??? Awesome!
