Revolutionary Girl Utena? You mean Twin Six Billion Peaks?
I have now finished Revolutionary Girl Utena, and my key takeaway is that we should kill Akio with knives and hammers
Utena is the story of going to an elite school because of its good math program or whatever, only to find out it's run by a sex slaving cult where students ritualistically play at killing each other, with staff buy-in. This is a reference to what it's like to go to Yale.
I've watched 19 episodes of Revolutionary Girl Utena over the last two days of flu recovery, and I still feel sick. I think we can conclude that 19 episodes of Revolutionary Girl Utena should be only one component of a medical strategy.
Day 1 of my Leavenworth trip!
It was a fun first day!
I took this photo at dinner as a bunch of clouds were straight up zooming overhead.
I got some directions for a cool drive with some nice views from a local, and it got off to a great start with this deer just a few dozen feet off the road.
Naturally I was mostly there for cloud pictures, so I was stopping to take photos about every five minutes or so. This one was just before sunset, maybe around 8:00 PM PDT.
This area used to be all timber and mines, so there are these old narrow gauge railways criss-crossing the mountains. I'm not sure what this one was for back in the past, but it's definitely defunct now since much of what I didn't photograph of it was buried.
The downside to sunset drives: no time to explore the cool foot paths! This drive was also pretty much at the limit of what I felt comfortable doing with only 8 inches of ground clearance, so I probably won't go back on this trip.
And finally, at the top of the mountain. I wish I could say where, but I had to swear an oath of secrecy to a local to get this tip (not even kidding, although he could have been fucking with me). Either way, a wonderful cap to a really incredible drive.
Today I think I'll swing into town to grab lunch and walk the waterfront trail, then head back to the cabin to rest and relax with some music (I brought my portable cassette player and a bunch of my cassettes) and solo RPGs to playtest my new system.

I'll believe LLMs are conscious when one goes on strike
Awesome rooster with shoes I made for my boyfriends birthday this year :]
Happy Pride month to my hens Speedy and Cassiopeia, because I did not find out until just now that they had that kind of relationship!
So far I'm enjoying Mina the Hollower quite a bit, but even if I wasn't enjoying the game, it's worth it for the soundtrack alone!
Tonight's music is... these new Castle Rat tapes I bought! They're a super exciting up and coming band that I've been obsessed with for a while now, and the lo-fi of the cassettes definitely enhances the doomy sounds!
Finally saw a Subaru Trailseeker in person, and daaaaaaaaaaamn what a car
i need to come up with a way to say “i mean like, movies for grownups” that doesn’t make me feel like a villain
*peeks in the replies* *gets really nervous and locks my house up and leaves*
If you're looking for a "bros being dudes" buddy movie, I can recommend The Lighthouse!
First playtest of Central Air and Chassis v0.5 went well! As usual, my players felt the humor was a highlight but the ending needed work 😅 I dunno what it is, but satisfying endings are just not something that comes naturally to me! I need to run more one shots and minicampaigns to get me practice, I suppose 😌
It's almost ridiculous how useful Firefox's new split view is
Off to a good start with the new cloudspotting hobby! I thiiiink these are cumulus fracti, and that might be some kind of cirrocumulus and cirrostratus in the background there? Exciting!
I've been slowly working through a large collection of tapes from my aunt and late uncle while I do chores and such, and damn, I should have listened to Bonnie Raitt sooner!
I think the Plush Council approves as well.
Sara bought me a beginner's guide to cloudspotting yesterday, and now my flight is delayed by five and a half hours due to a thunderstorm in Texas.
Coincidence, or freaky devil magic? The answer will shock you!
