One common mistake that is made during Income Tax Filing Season is not having patience to wait. For those who have worked multiple jobs during the year, this can be quite frustrating while having to wait on one sheet of paper. It is wise to wait until you have received all financial statements from jobs, banks, retirement systems, educational facilities and more before you submit your 2015 Tax Return.

Ready to File Your Taxes?

In just a few days, the time that many dread and also the time that many wait for all year. Yup! It’s Refund Tax Time! As anxious as everyone is to get to the Tax Office, be sure to have everything you need ready before hand. Below are a few things you need to have ready to go for when you meet with your Tax Preparer.

 Ø  Current Driver’s License, State I.D. or Federal Passport (These are the ONLY accepted forms of I.D.)

Ø  All Wage & Earnings Statements (W2s, 1099s, W2G – Unemployment, 1098T, 1095, etc) – These include Mortgage Interest Payments, Tuition Payments and more.

Ø  Social Security Card for All Taxpayers, Spouse and Dependent(s)

Ø  Banking Information if you choose to receive a Direct Deposit or Pay by Direct Draft for your Tax Bill to the Internal Revenue Service or your respective State Revenue Office

Ø  And most of all……. PATIENCE! Remember once your 2015 Income Tax Return has been submitted and accepted by the IRS, your return will be issued within 7 to 21 business days, as the IRS DOES NOT release refunds on Weekends.
