Beth was walking outside and really had no idea where she was going — especially due to the fact she was looking down at her phone the entire time. Abruptly stopping once she dropped her books on the ground, along with the phone, she sighed. Quickly picking up all of her belongings and brushing herself off, the brunette soon noticed a person standing before her. “Can I help you?” The girl asked, hoping they didn’t see her make a fool of herself.

“Have you ever been so hungry, you’d eat just about anything but you don’t know what? Okay, that’s probably confusing but if I had a dollar for all of the times I went out to a restaurant and literally almost cried because I couldn’t come to a decision, I’d never have to work another day in my life. I know, white girl problems. But still. A cheeseburger or fish tacos or a shrimp basket, like seriously. I’m stressed.”

As Beth listened to the girl, she couldn’t help but allow a light smile to brew upon her face. Though she was picky when it came to food, she still found it difficult when it came to deciding on what to eat   — especially when ti came to eating out at restaurants. The busier the place, the busier the dark-haired girls mind went. “I’d probably go for a cheeseburger. That or the fish tacos. I really hate shrimp. But to be fair, I try to plan it all out before I even go to the place. If I don’t do that I’m sitting there for hours on end.”

Elizabeth, preferably known as ‘Beth’ Jones, is a twenty-four year-old sophomore law student who, in the past few years, has had her life thrown upside down. Growing up, she had an older brother who she adored more than anything.

Her family life was normal, to say the least  — though she was anything but. When she was growing up, she never tended to speak unless it was something really worth while. For that reason, people became more attracted to her, they thought she was some type of mystery that they had to solve. But for her, it was just comforting observing everything rather than just speaking garbage all the time.

Beth and her brother were as close as anything, though they were three years apart. They partied when they weren’t supposed to and done stupid shit that they somewhat regretted later on in life. He was always there for her until he went off to university and she was left in a house of divorce.

Without her brother, she wasn’t sure what to do anymore. She partied hard, drank more than ever and tried her damned best to get her parent’s attention even knowing full well it wouldn’t work. Bar doing all of this, however, she managed to keep her grades up as she knew that her brother wouldn’t speak to her again otherwise.

During the divorce as her brother was off to university, she decided that she would leave her own future alone for a while and just simply look after her mother, who just simply drank everyday instead. A part of her felt like she had to, but the other part just wanted to go out and see the world just like her brother had done. The girl tried her best to deal with the bills around the house, go to school, get money in any way possible, party all night and to just leave her mother to do whatever she wanted to. That was until the two had an argument and she realised she had to get out and do her own thing for once, even though she agreed she’d only move a short drive away.

Since then, Beth spends her days studying, wrapped up in a cosy blanket with a dimly lit candle beside her. However, her nights are full of dancing, alcohol and trying her best to not over think every situation ever. However, even though she still looks after her mother and has a job, the girl still wants to get the most out of life and will do whatever is possible to get to the top and to reach her goal. Due to this, she comes off extremely closed off and very bitchy though when the girl befriends and trusts people, she will make sure that nobody would hurt them in any way at all.
