Helping Local Disabled Children, LSU Softball's "Geaux Play"

This year a new community service initiative was developed with our marketing office, LSU softball pitcher Brittany Mack and the LSU Softball team. We created a new logo, shirt, billboards, webpage, videos, posters and e-mails to promote the campaign. Here is an excerpt from the press release about "Geaux Play":
"Geaux Play" is an attempt to challenge the LSU Softball fan community to share the gift of sports with local special needs children. Brittany Mack, LOWE's Senior Class Award Candidate, has been working with the Miracle League for a couple years now and found a lack of equipment for these children.
Throughout the season, LSU Softball will collect new or gently used sports equipment, ranging from gloves, squishy bats, kick balls, softballs. All items collected will be given directly to the local schools Mack visits bi-weekly and the Miracle League athletes.
Mack visits with local East Baton Rouge physically disabled children weekly to share the gift of sport with them and the items collected throughout the season. The "Geaux Play" program will commence with the "Geaux Play" game on Sunday, April 22 as the Tigers take on Ole Miss.
