RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK basically started with one image—Zorro leaping from a horse to a truck. The lobby card had caught the eye of a young George Lucas, who always remembered it. When production on RAIDERS began, Lucas approached Jim Steranko to produce a concept painting just like it, setting the tone for the movie (image 3).

A photocopy of the picture hung in the halls of ILM for a long time.

That’s what just one image can lead to. And that’s pretty much the concept of my blog. One piece of art, one idea, could change everything for someone.
