I finished Stargaze and felt mixed emotions so I watched Sinbad to make me feel better and so now we're here.

This was inspired by Arianna Shteyn over on YouTube! I saw their animation awhile ago and absolutely loved it and then I wanted to try my hand at recreating the scene. I forgot how long animation takes 💀

I'm glad you liked the AU!!!

I have this problem where I come up with a really wacky and interesting AU and never follow up on it 💀 I had ideas for the AU but unfortunately I never had time to actually do anything with it. I love starting ask blogs and then abandoning them 💀

At the least I'd love to make a comprehensive timeline of events for the AU but I'm not sure when I'll have time for that because I'll be moving soon. But fear not, I am thinking about this AU and want to revisit it 🩷

I need to eat your art style. What does your process look like when drawings heads, faces, bodies, etc. look like??

I'm currently drawing a Meet The Artist thing so I'm happy to share my process!

I start with a circle head, then blocks for the chest/abdomen/pelvis, then kinda ovals for the limbs. Hands and feet are kinda blobs initially until I get to the cleanup.

From there I refine, but I still keep it messy as to not focus on the details too hard. You can see in this stage I begin to change minor things like the size of the feet, position of the head, etc. Once I get to the lineart stage, very little changes.

But yeah that's my sketching process! Sometimes before my messy sketch I'll just use a thick brush and doodle blobs of the pose and then draw on top of that. I'll use that method for more complex poses/compositions.
