sometimes you think you are done healing, done remembering, done being held back by past hurts. and then all of the sudden you find yourself still struggling to make eye contact with someone they are being kind to you. or you find yourself unable to speak out of the fear of being seen by someone standing in front of you.

do not stay in that fear. do not settle into it and make a home there. acknowledge it, understand it, and then work towards the eye contact. work towards accepting the kindness of others. work towards being more vulnerable and honest with your words.

there is more, there is better, and you are worth both.
