i watched yoora jung react to the new mv (i know i know, but its yooraaa); anyway, when the jikook scene came she said "isn't that his apt? like his actual room?" and she also rewatched it and said "it's like a room tour and mv"...

The room they’re in is jihope’s shared bedroom at the dorm. It’s not their personal apartments. That’s the room jungkook was in and that jimin came into while brushing his teeth.

Yep, they decorated it for the MV it appears. I don’t think any of them live there but maybe the company or one of them kept it as an investment and they use for meeting up together. Jimin and JK did their gimbap vlive there and you could tell nobody was really living there because they were out of paper towels, and I forget what else. Then when they met up for BV there was some more hints that they weren’t living there.

I want to send some good vibes into your asks bc this was my first comeback too and I loved it!! The album is insane and the music video was so well done, JK did an amazing job! I love that we got a cute little scene w JM and JK again, it reminded me of Dynamite, and also of their Home performance. I’m curious to see if they’ll comment on why they chose to have a scene together in a single bedroom, as if they were waking up together, instead of solo scenes (like Tae, RM, and Jin) or scenes w the group (like SG and JH). They were the only members to share a scene as partners in that way. Director JK must have had a say in choosing to link his and JM’s scenes together like that. Maybe we’ll find out why in a behind the scenes or making film or in Memories of 2020!!

Ahh I’m glad you enjoyed it! I’m honestly still in a bit of a daze... And the album is so good. The goal was to make us happy, and they 100% succeeded. The MV was definitely impactful. Director JK is so talented and so good! I’m looking forward to behind the scenes and maybe to more MVs (since we got another one today). In all honesty, I really hope he does more directing work in the future.

As for the scene with JM&JK... What can I say, they fell asleep in the blue bedroom, they woke up in the sunlit one.

I can’t wait for the behind the scenes! I want to see it for the photo shoots and the MV and the production. I’m hoping we get it all. I’d love to see them in a strictly professional role and respecting when one of them is in charge. It clearly worked because the end product is amazing.

What do you think about Tae asking Jimin about how he lost his baby fat in the pre-comeback video? It felt a bit indelicate to me tbh, but I guess Tae can be like that sometimes... Idk it makes me a bit sad but I guess it has a lot to do with my own issues with food and such... but still... what do you think? I'm totally sure Tae meant no harm and he's the one who knows Jimin, not us, but I'm still curious to know your thoughts. Thanks!

I am sorry you are experiencing problems like that and understand that it can be a sensitive topic for you. I hope you will be able to feel better and that you feel like you can ask for help if you need it. As for this moment I personally think as you say that we as fans need to realize that what the members say or do to each other is up to them and they know each other the best. It is also possible to accidentally say something hurtful and be misunderstood. But if Jimin would feel uncomfortable I trust he can bring it up considering the honest relationship he has with Taehyung.

I actually think these might be words that makes Jimin feel good though? But at the same time is a bit of a critisism on how obsessed Jimin can be with losing weight. But that is of course just me guessing.

But honestly the fact that this comes from Tae also makes me think even more that it wasn’t meant in any kind of bad way. I think he is in his own way just trying to encourage Jimin to embrace both himself now and his past. In fact if anything Taehyung has been the loudest about missing those cheeks, and the loudest about Jimin needing to eat and be healthy. I have seen harsher jokes from him when Jimin talks about diets... Like his comment about Jimin becoming “like a skeleton” if he tries to lose more weight.

Taehyung is a person who embraces having extra fat on himself and telling people to not worry too much, and to accept him even if he is a little grubbier in a profession where they regularly are encouraged to lose weight. Taehyung cares deeply for Jimin and also really speaks about loving yourself and also shows he doesn’t bother too much with his own weight or looks just for the sake of others. We are talking about a boy who cheated during diets and hid ice cream in his pockets.

If anything I think Taehyung has been a good influence on Jimin and has made him feel better about just being himself in a healthy way. And that is consistant through all of BTS’s years with Taehyung even going out of his way to make sure Jimin is healthy.

This reminds me of that moment in I-Land when Tae was advising the rookies that they don’t need to be born good-looking in order to be the most attractive. Jimin said that was a little unfair coming from Tae, who was born good-looking, and Tae said, “I was talking about you!” He clearly was saying he thinks Jimin is the most attractive one, BUT it could also be seen as a slight by pointing out that Jimin is not “naturally” good-looking (which of course Hobi immediately seized upon, lol). I think Jimin has learned to accept these somewhat tactless compliments in the spirit in which they are intended rather than focusing on the clumsy way they are delivered.

Knowing their relationship I don’t think Tae meant it in a way that would hurt Jimin at all. Now for the unpopular opinion, which I have stated before, Tae can be a bit unaware, impulsive, doesn’t think things through when in front of the camera, and there have been times when I wish he had handled something differently. I say that because although most of us know his intentions aren’t bad, there is a huge part of the fandom that takes everything at face value. Is that Tae’s fault? Nope. Should he be aware of it? Yep. We also love Tae because he can be quirky and spontaneous with his words and actions so it’s a balance. I put the blame on the fandom but I also think he needs to understand how the fandom is. Don’t come at me. If you disagree then that’s your right. Reread my first sentence.

What is the message you think Jungkook was trying to give in that first bedroom scene? In the vlive he said he was trying to show how their reality is when they were watching that scene. So to me we could assume that Jimin is probably the first person he sees in the morning and highly likely share a room with. We could at the very least say that. Jungkook is way too smart not to know this is what we would see, to me the message is pretty clear. It is funny how after 5 years everything still points out to them being together. Anyway, I love the new album so much, I can’t stop listening to Telepathy.

People don’t give him enough credit. They think he’s not really paying attention to song lyrics, that he just makes videos for fun without giving it a second thought (sure, it can be for fun, but his work always has a message and a meaning). What I do know is he chose to put himself in the same room with Jimin. What was very impactful to me was the way it was shown.

1. We see JK in a room, looking out the window 2. We see Jimin brushing his teeth in a bathroom (we have no idea where JM is at that point) 3. We see Jimin coming out of the bathroom (we don’t see JK, we still don’t know where he is) 4. We follow Jimin out of the bathroom, revealing JK behind his silhouette

It would’ve had a completely different feeling if they were just inside a room together, singing their lines. This way, we get the element of surprise, and we also get them inside a bedroom together.

What was the message? I agree with you, he himself said he was aiming for authenticity. It’s also just like what they have been telling us recently. Let’s not forget what’s Jimin’s favorite thing to see when he wakes up. And now we got to see it too. It’s all still our interpretation, so unless we’re told specifically, all we can do is guess. But some things were for me very clear.

Once again, the relationship only becomes clear after a “pattern” of haphazard confessions that mean little or can be explained away by anything at the time, but after so many hints toward the same thing, dropped in different ways at different times, it’s hard to arrive at a different conclusion. Jimin knowing how Jungkook snores, knowing what sound his alarm makes; how long he takes in the shower, being with him at 4 a.m. even while having to call the other members by phone, saying they ride to work together and go home together, saying his favorite thing is waking up and seeing JK. Now JK saying he knows what Jimin’s morning breath smells like, and depicting them “authentically” in the same bedroom in the morning. Plus, the completely unnecessary inclusion of the blue bedroom in “Home.” It all adds up to the SAME SCENARIO: Jikook sleep together and they don’t care if we know it.

Unfortunately people like to take isolated moments, especially skinship, and use it to either confirm or deny a relationship. That’s not real life or how relationships work so why would you assume that with them? It’s all pieces to a giant puzzle and when you put the puzzle together you get a committed relationship. I understand there are many who haven’t been in a long term relationship so relating to or noticing things might not happen but that’s when you need to have an even more open mind. To me it was a scene we’d see everyday in their house if there was cameras.

Since this is a blog about jikook, I want to talk about how I differently perceive them after last year. BE is very beautiful album and the video is well done, but I couldn’t help notice that there are lots of tkk moments or that they are together in photos compared to jikook. And here is my wonder. Because last year jikook were always together, almost boyfriends for sure, but then something shifted, and since august we have seen lots of tkk when last year we had nothing. 1

Skinship is not proof of a relationship. I say this all the time. So TK were cuddly..,good for them. Why are you ignoring JinKook? They had way more to me physical interaction to me. Why so focused on TK? There were moments of skinship with all of the members. Also TK decided to make an effort to reconnect. We are seeing that...it’s a good thing.

You think JK needed to huddle over Jimin’s back to see poster...during a meeting? Really? Is it only skinship when TK do it? Because that was skinship too. And I maintain that skinship is not proof of anything...even prolonged moments. The reason jikook feels differently to me is because of years worth of instances. Not just from a really long cuddle during a meeting.

But it’s ok to feel jikook are friends...because they are. Hopefully you recognize how special that bond is between them. It’s a beautiful thing.

Anon, what you are seeing is correct. Jikook isn’t real. We were just pretending to seethings this whole time. We fooled YOU, huh? lol. Taekook is the real couple and has been all along. The way the morning scene is filmed is just.. We know Jk is very intentional with his directing, any message that that scene sends is not an accident.

is so fucking solid.

Every single song is a different type of healing/envigorating, like, some songs are like putting cooling balm on an achy muscle, some feel like waking up on a sunny day with nothing scheduled and you’re just chilling, while others feel like a warm hug from the softest person.

Also, instead of having very drastically different vibes in a single album, this whole album feels so coherent, it’s hard to explain. Honestly, even if they hadn’t said anything, the word that comes to mind when listening is definitely “healing”.

It’s absolutely beautiful and so needed. It feels so genuine. I love these boys.

How are they so domestic and soft 24/7? It's so spontaneous and easy for them.
