Brad Buxer (left) and Michael Prince (right).Ā I met Brad and Michael back in 2010 at the release party for MJ's "MICHAEL" CD in NYC. I've never met such sincere, genuine, humble men like Brad & Michael.
After the release party ended, I just couldn't leave yet... Everyone was trickling out and a security guard came up to me telling me "party's over, time to go." But something wasn't allowing me to leave. I told the guard that I was waiting for someone (which wasn't true, I went to the party on my own!!), so he let me be.
The energy Michael Jackson created that night is inexplicable. All I can say is I felt this overpowering energy that was so strong.... but I knew WHAT this energy was.. it was Michael. His energy and spirit was right there, right beside me.
Call me crazy, but I'd like to find one MJ fan that can say they never felt the strength of MJ's energy resonate throughout their being when dancing or listening to his music... Or when you really take in the power of his lyrics, something beautiful happens within the soul-hope, faith, belief, happiness.... I've always felt MJ's lyrics from numerous songs are my prayers. To me, he was blessed with the chance to share prophetic messages that the world needed to hear and connect with, to make a change and difference, all Ā through L.O.V.E.Ā
With all that said, that's how strong his energy was from the party even after it was over. I felt his spirit with such fierceness- just standing there, in an empty club. I felt frozen, I couldn't leave. My body was numb....
As I was embracing this moment, I remembered something was leaning against me. It wasĀ one of the ginormous murals of the cover for the Ā "MICHAEL" CD. Sony used this mural as a back drop for VH1, KTU & other media related celebrity interviews throughout the release party. I commented on how phenomenal the mural was and, hand to God- Sony just randomly gave me the mural.Ā
So, I'm standing there with this mural, still embracing MJ's energy and two gentlemen who were leaving, commented on the MJ mural. We started chatting and I had no idea who they were. But then they introduced themselves....Ā I'll never forget the feeling that resonated throughout my entire soul when I realized whose presence I was graciously blessed with. Brad Buxer & Michael Prince,Ā MJ's "inner circle music crew" and personal, closest confidants and friends. There we were, all hanging out, laughing, chillin and shootin' the shit as if we knew each other for years... That's when I realized why this moment occurred. It was Michael. He was a part of the how that evening played out.
From that night, and always, I feel MJ gave me a gift- true friendships that he trusted most to look over me and become a part of my life. Others may say it was all just a coincidence, and I won't argue that...yet to me, my soul says different. Being that I never had the chance to meet MJ himself, MJ brought his closest friends to me through his energy and spirit that evening.
Since meeting Brad & Michael, my FAITH has gotten stronger and stronger which has saved my life on the toughest days I've faced these past three years. I am blessed that MJ was with me that night to 'personally' pass on his energy, his friends and his spirit of L.O.V.E. Ā Ā
