CAMOTES ISLAND,CEBU TRIP WITH FRIENDS

Camotes Island is located east of Cebu City.Its consist of four towns, San franciscio,Poro,Tudela and Esperanza. All towns has a lot to offers in terms of tourists spots. The four towns can be toured in one day trip but if you want to stay longer just to feel more the camotes Island vibes is preferrable. What I like in Camotes lsands is where I can fine the peace and serenity.

MOST POPULAR AND BEST TOURIST SPOTS AROUND IN CAMOTES ISLAND CEBU

1.SANTIAGO BEACH- ENTRANCE FREE

Santiago Bay is 8.6 km away from Consuelo and its about a 15 min drives going to Poblacon San Francisco Camotes main centre.

2. Lake Danao

– “The Lovers’ Lake”

ENTRANCE- 15/HEAD

Kayaking: ₱50

Horseback riding: ₱50

Pedal boating: ₱150 (30 mins)

Sakanaw/Lake Cruise: ₱500 (15 pax)

Zipline: 200 pesos one way and it has a 470 meters long.

3. Tulang Diot Island-An islet secluded in the northern part of Camotes Island

The white sand, sandbar and azul blue waters looks like a paradise for your own.

Environmental/Entrance fee: ₱10 per head

ride a boat to Tulang Diot – ₱10 per head only, 5-10 minutes to the island.

4. Buho Rock Resort

-Entrance fee: ₱20 per head (₱10 for kids)

Note: No corkage. You can bring food and snacks.

It is located in Poro, Camotes Islands. Approximately 27 mins from the

Consuelo Wharf. You can ride a motorcycle, tricycle or just rent a ride for transportation.

5.Timubo Cave

-Entrance fee: ₱50 per head

Timubo Cave is located inside the Lake Danao Park

Danao Park for about 30 mins and then towards the entrance of the cave.

Its located in Esperanza Camotes Island

6. Busay Falls- Entrance fee: ₱10 per head

The place can be reach after a 10-minute hike. You can also

dive as it is 8-10 feet deep. Like your own pocket-sized falls,

it allows the guests more privacy and a peaceful

Far from Consuelo, it would take 30-50 mins to the falls depending on the ride

Located in Barangay General, Tudela, Camotes Islands.

7. Paraiso Cave- Entrance fee: ₱50 per head

This is very near the Consuelo Wharf. Only 9 minutes away if you have a ride but you can also take the motorcycle which is a lot faster.

8. Bukilat Cave

-Entrance fee: ₱20 per head

It’s quite far.30-45 mins for traveling from

from Consuelo Wharf to the municipality of Tudela or Tudela proper.

9.Holy Crystal Cave -Entrance fee: Free

holy Crystal is very near Consuelo Wharf and Lake Danao.

It is located in Brgy. Union, San Francisco. By taking a

motorcycle, you will arrive at the cave in less than 20 minutes.

10. Mangodlong Rock-Entrance fee: ₱20 per head

Water activities: Snorkel, kayak, wind sail, diving

Mangodlong Rock Resort is a few minutes from the town and ports of

San Francisco and Poro.

Only Option 1 and option 2 are already resumed their trips and also its limted boats for our new normal.

And if you take your vehicles you can hop on the Ferry in Danao City port and ride a Jomalia Shipping lines.

My first Visit in Siquijor Island🏝

A Memorable First Visit to Siquijor – Land of Fire and Unexpected Victories

My first visit to the mystical island of Siquijor, known as the “Isla del Fuego” or Island of Fire, was nothing short of unforgettable. I traveled there to join the Isla Del Fuego Marathon 2024, and to my surprise and joy—I became the champion for the 42K distance! I honestly didn’t expect to win, which made the experience even more meaningful and memorable.

Siquijor is a small but stunning island province in the Philippines, known for its enchanting beauty, white sand beaches, clear blue waters, and friendly locals. The island has a calm, laid-back vibe, and it’s perfect for anyone looking to unwind or enjoy a bit of adventure.

After the marathon, I spent time exploring the island’s pristine beaches, relaxing by the sea, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The island’s charm lies not just in its natural beauty but also in how easily accessible it is.

How to Get to Siquijor:

From Dumaguete City: You can take a fast craft or regular ferry boat. The ride typically takes 1 to 1.5 hours, making it the most convenient jump-off point to Siquijor.

From Cebu City: Travel by bus from Cebu to Liloan Port in Santander (approximately 3–4 hours), then take a ferry to Dumaguete, and from there, ride another ferry to Siquijor.

By Air: While Siquijor now has a small airport, flights may be limited. The more common route is to fly into Dumaguete (via Sibulan Airport) or Tagbilaran (Bohol), then take a ferry to the island.

Overall, my trip to Siquijor was filled with unexpected victories, unforgettable scenery, and a refreshing escape from the busy city life. Whether you’re a marathon runner, a beach lover, or simply looking for your next travel adventure, Siquijor is a hidden gem worth discovering.

Sharing my thankful notes and thoughts about my volunteering🙏🙋‍♀️😍

I’m genuinely happy to volunteer and support others. For me, it’s not about receiving rewards or recognition. The real joy comes from knowing that I’m making a positive impact on someone’s life. Each act of kindness and every moment spent helping brings me a deep sense of fulfillment. Volunteering allows me to contribute to something meaningful and reminds me of the importance of community and connection. Seeing the difference we can make together is incredibly rewarding and enriches my own life in ways I can’t fully describe. It’s truly a privilege to be able to give back and make a difference.

I recently received this wonderful Thermo Paliflask for coffee during the EHS Day volunteering event at Tera, where I work. I didn’t expect to get such a nice gift, especially since we already had a fantastic appreciation dinner to celebrate all the volunteers. This flask has become one of my favorite items because it keeps my coffee hot every morning, making it super useful.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to all the committees who worked hard to make this event possible. A special thank you goes to the leader, Sir Lim, for appreciating the efforts of everyone involved. Your kindness and generosity truly mean a lot to us. It's gestures like these that make us feel valued and motivated.

For me, participating in volunteering activities not only helps others but also makes my day brighter and more meaningful. In embracing the beauty of solitude, I have come to appreciate the freedom that being single affords me. My First Travel Solo Story to Boracay Island🌴🏝🐚🏖⛱️🌊

In 2017, I embarked on my first solo travel adventure to the picturesque Boracay Island, driven by the excitement of participating in the Skyathlon beach run. However, fate had other plans as the event got canceled due to the island's need for rehabilitation. Undeterred, I seized the opportunity to explore Boracay, making the most of every moment. The three days and four nights I spent there alone were filled with intense experiences – from swimming in the crystal-clear waters to running along the pristine beaches, covering a total of 7 kilometers from Station 1 to Station 3. The fine sand beneath my feet was unlike anything I had ever encountered.🤎😘

Little did I know that just two days after my departure, the island would temporarily close its doors for rehabilitation. Reflecting on my visit, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude for having witnessed the beauty of Boracay before its closure to tourists. This trip marked my fifth visit to the island, and while some of my travels remain a secret, I find solace in keeping those experiences close to my heart for the sake of personal serenity.💙

As a traveler with humble beginnings, hailing from the poorest of families in the Philippines, my journey has been riddled with challenges. Yet, each obstacle I overcame fueled my determination to navigate life's complexities. Travel became my gift – an opportunity to explore my homeland and beyond. Despite the inherent difficulties, I approach life with simplicity, dedicating myself to the daily grind while nurturing dreams of further solo adventures or shared escapades with a significant other.

Life in the Philippines, though not without its trials, offers a canvas for me to paint with my experiences. I harbor a deep love for travel, a passion that extends to vlogging, running, and maintaining a fitness-centric lifestyle. What made my evening even more enjoyable was the fantastic live band music they had. The ambiance was just right – not too loud, allowing for enjoyable conversations with friends, yet lively enough to create a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere.

The staff at Smooth Cafe were friendly, attentive, and made me feel right at home. The service was prompt, and they were more than happy to cater to dietary preferences and answer any questions we had about the menu.

The location of Smooth Cafe is also perfect. Situated in the heart of Moalboal, it's easy to find and provides a great spot to relax and unwind after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings.

I highly recommend Smooth Cafe to locals and tourists alike. Whether you're a vegetarian or not, the tasty falafel and the live band music will undoubtedly leave you with a smile on your face. I can't wait to visit again on my next trip to Cebu! 🎶🥙🎸
