there’s only one thing left to do after insu’s got all of his boxes up the stairs (aside from dab the sweat building at his temples) and that’s introduce himself to all of his neighbors. he felt good, accomplished, and he’d already greeted several people on his way in and out of the buildings, hopefully leaving a positive impression though often times, those things couldn’t be helped. he stepped out of his room and crossed the hall, knocking a few times at the cracked door and daring to peek his head in. if it hadn’t been for the small noise inside, he would’ve assumed no one was there, but upon seeing a resident, he offered an apologetic smile.
“sorry, i wasn’t sure if anyone was in! i just moved into the room next door–” he paused, wiggling into the door frame and nudging it open with his foot, “i’m insu!” his expression shifted, leaving behind apologies in favor of warmth, “i didn’t mean to barge in if you were busy!” he paused, eyes idly scanning the room and glazing over an image, a painting that looked eerily familiar but he decided to stay quiet about it… at least for now, and turn his attention back to the other’s delicate features, “i’m so sorry, i didn’t even ask your name– i don’t normally get star struck.”
IT’S NOT ALWAYS THAT JINHEE feels the need to stay inside his room like this. it's his day off, so he should be out there, riding his bike around town, doing something productive, but could you really blame him for wanting to stay inside and just work on crafting exercises for his children on his computer. he'd just gotten back from the kitchen, having decided to make himself some popcorn because... why not? popcorn was always effective in inspiring him, be it for whatever strange reason it was. he didn't expect to get a visitor, though.
LOOKING up at the knocks on his door, jinhee quickly noticed he hadn't exactly shut his door on the way back, and he would be worried if the guy who peeked his head inside didn't look so friendly. yes, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, but if that was a neighbor, he doubted he was in trouble. ❝ oh, hello. i'm not busy, you just startled me a little, ❞ he chuckled, getting up from his bed then because maybe it was a bit too awkward for him to be sitting there while he had a visitor. he gave insu a friendly smile. ❝ i'm jinhee, it's nice to meet you. did you already get to see around the sharehouse? i don't know how long you've been here, but it's probably recent, right? i'd remember if i had seen you around. ❞
