BTS Jin × Gucci: The Styling Effect of the Chiodo Multi-Row Ring (LOOKBOOK OUTTAKE blog review by Stella)

As I flipped through the editorial, my eyes were drawn to his hands more than usual. Instead of looking at his expressions, I found myself counting the number of rings. In nine out of ten shots, there was something on his hands. In the shot where he wore a double-breasted jacket, he had the Chiodo Multi-Row Ring on his right hand, layered with another ring on his left. In the shot featuring a satin top paired with denim pants, one hand was stacked with a gold ring and two bracelets, along with a Horsebit-detail chain bracelet, creating three layers of jewelry. Even in the pinstripe suit shots, both hands were filled with rings and bracelets. The shot pairing a satin shirt with a GG Marmont charm necklace was one of the few where his hands looked relatively simple. There was only one shot in which his hands were completely bare, with the styling pared back to just a shirt and necklace.

The relationship between Jin and Gucci is not something that began and ended with this one editorial. When Jin was selected as a global ambassador in August 2024, the level of attention was so high that Gucci's official website reportedly crashed due to a sudden surge in traffic immediately after the announcement.

Since then, he was named one of the best-dressed stars at Milan Fashion Week in September 2025, and this year he ranked first in a Forbes Korea poll for the artist whose fashion magazine cover people were most looking forward to. However, since the only source for both of these records is a Star News report, I will leave them as points of reference rather than definitive facts. More recently, he also appeared onstage at the Stade de France in Paris wearing a custom Gucci outfit, which means that this relationship has now continued for nearly two years.

Once you know this history, the repeated use of rings and bracelets across nine shots no longer feels like a simple reflection of a stylist's personal preference. When a brand repeats the same detail this consistently in an editorial featuring its ambassador, it seems more appropriate to view it as a styling direction in its own right. The double-breasted jackets and satin shirts changed from shot to shot, but the layering on his hands remained consistent until the very end.

This editorial once again reminded me that simply layering one ring with another can completely change the mood of an entire look.

What Is the Chiodo Multi-Row Ring? Chiodo means nail in Italian.

Gucci's Chiodo collection is characterized by its multi-row structure, with several thin bands placed side by side. Five slender bands are layered around the finger, creating the volume of multiple stacked rings even though it is technically a single ring. In other words, the reason Jin's hands looked particularly full in this editorial was partly because the ring itself was designed to create a stacking effect.

The Styling Effect of the Chiodo Multi-Row Ring

When you place a ring with this much presence on your hand, the overall look does not feel empty even when the clothing itself is simple. The more restrained the styling, such as a jacket and shirt combination, the more a single Chiodo ring becomes a focal point that draws the eye. Every time the hand moves or he strikes a pose, the volume of the ring moves with it, creating a natural sense of rhythm even in otherwise static images.

From Music to Business: Meet JINI’s Lamp, Jin’s Drinks Empire

In case anyone isn’t aware:

IGIN and On The Lamp are two product lines marketed by JINI’s Lamp, an agricultural corporation specializing in traditional Korean alcoholic beverages founded in Yesan by Jin alongside chef, TV host, and entrepreneur Baek Jong Won

The two met whilst filming the show *Drunk Talk*, where they explored the production of traditional Korean spirits, such as makgeolli and distilled spirits, under the guidance of expert and master distiller Park Rok Dam (who still sends messages of support to Jin)

This led to the idea of creating their own distilled spirit, so they decided to establish a joint venture that launched commercially in December 2024: JINI’s Lamp; not only with the goal of producing traditional spirits, but also to boost Yesan’s local economy and promote the region’s agricultural products, particularly rice and apples.

The brand’s philosophy is summed up in its own words:

“Starting with Apple Gin, a distilled spirit made primarily from locally grown rice and apples, Gin’s Lamp reinterprets Korean spirits with a sophisticated flavour profile.

Celebrate joyful moments filled with laughter alongside our spirits, crafted from our own ingredients.”

The first major product to hit the market was IGIN Apple Gin, a premium gin made with local rice and sweet apples, with an alcohol content of 40%.

This was followed by IGIN Apple Tonic (Ready to Drink), a line of sparkling gins with 4% alcohol that uses very expressive Korean names to describe its varieties: Saekom (refreshing and tart), Dalkom (sweet), Sangkom (vibrant and citrusy), and Pinkom (with a delicate or fruity touch), featuring such appealing flavors as plum, watermelon, peach, and grape.

As an innovation, this year (2026), they’ve launched a non-alcoholic version of IGIN, IGIN Zero, in orange and peach flavors.

In addition, the brand has expanded its lineup with IGIN Verdant Gleam, a multi-purpose fragrance for the skin, clothing, or home. If you’d like to know its scent notes:

Top Notes: Grape, Lemon, Bergamot Middle Notes: Eucalyptus, Rose, Minty Base Notes: Woody, Musk, Amber

For its part, the On The Lamp line has launched its first major product: a traditional sweet rice wine made from rice, nuruk (a natural fermentation starter), and water.

After establishing itself in South Korea through GS25 convenience stores and Theborn Mall, the company’s international expansion soon reached countries such as Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and the Philippines, and also extended to markets in Latin America.

One of its most notable milestones has been the agreement with Korean Air to sell the exclusive IGIN Apple Gin (Sky Edition) on board its flights.

With the slogan “Together in all your happy moments” we wish Jin and JINI’s Lamp much continued success, and we look forward to celebrating each of these milestones alongside their global community.

BTS’s Jin’s most candid interview: “Music has given me my whole life.” [ELLE Magazine]

Someone who describes themselves clearly with simple sentences rather than flowery rhetoric. Further, deeper. In their own untamed way. The truth of this very moment.

I wanted to capture a side of Jin that was a little unfamiliar and raw. Alongside Gucci’s free-spirited menswear collection, that is. Did it feel unfamiliar to you too? You’re usually quite the ‘Confucian gentleman’, aren’t you? (laughs)

It did look rather awkward when I looked in the mirror. Still, I am an idol, after all. If there’s a concept they want, I’m more than happy to embody it (laughs).

On stage, you take on a completely different persona. As you tour stadiums around the world with your ‘ARIRANG’ world tour, some days you look as if you might burst into tears at any moment, whilst on others you wear a happier expression than anyone else.

To be honest, I don’t think I’ve ever actually held back tears. I suppose I just have a face that looks like I’m crying (laughs). Even when I haven’t been crying, people sometimes misunderstand and think I’m holding back tears. I can pinpoint the moments that make me laugh straight away. Naturally, it’s when I see ARMYs enjoying themselves. When I look at each and every smiling face, I can’t help but smile too.

In particular, on our debut anniversary, when we performed the Korean version of ‘NORMAL’ at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium, an unusually large number of audience members talked about your expression for a long time afterwards. How do you personally remember that performance?

To be honest… there’s a specific gesture in the ‘NORMAL’ performance designed to encourage the audience to wave their hands. I was so focused on that movement and the lyrics that I didn’t have a moment to get emotional. It was the only day I had to sing the song with Korean lyrics, after having performed it for months with the original lyrics, so I had to concentrate on the new lyrics (laughs).

That’s spot on, as always (laughs). This fifth studio album is BTS’s first full-line-up album to be released in quite some time. I’m sure you’ve already made many memories with this album, but if you had to pick the most memorable moment, what would it be?

I’d have to say it was the moment we kicked off this tour in Goyang. It was raining absolutely heavily at the time. Usually, when it rains, you use an umbrella or go indoors, don’t you? But you can’t do that on stage, so we had no choice but to get completely soaked. When else in your life do you get drenched like that? It was really great fun.

Personally, your live performance style on this world tour struck me as very fresh. Especially when watching the performances of songs like ‘NORMAL’, ‘Into the Sun’ and ‘Like Animals’, I got the feeling that you were almost ‘howling’ during the high-pitched sections, whilst letting your emotions pour out passionately.

I’m honoured that you’ve attributed such deep meaning to it. Well, these songs were more emotional than my previous ones, and I simply sang in a way that matched those emotions. I’m delighted that you perceived it as so emotional (laughs).

It’s been quite some time now, but my first solo world tour, ‘RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR’, still remains vividly in my memory. Thanks to the fun ideas scattered throughout the show—such as playing a game where I had to guess the song titles based on the audience singing along—the fans laughed a great deal. Was there a particular reason you wanted to put on a show that made people laugh?

When ARMYs laugh, I find myself laughing along with them. Since I often do serious performances, this time I wanted to create a show where people could laugh a bit more. The other members even said it was a rather unusual stage (laughs). Come to think of it, two of the concepts I used in my solo show were incorporated into our group performances as well—that’s quite remarkable too.

There’s one scene from that performance that’s really stuck in my memory. It was the moment when you lay down in the centre of the stage and gazed up at the night sky whilst singing ‘The Astronaut’. Although the performance was meant to entertain the audience, at that moment, it felt as though it was a scene just for you.

The night sky was truly beautiful at that moment. You know how, when you’re performing, your mind sometimes wanders? In that moment, it felt strange to be there, just being myself. I took a deep breath, lay down and looked up at the sky – it was so beautiful. So I just… I think I stared at it for quite a while.

It’s been 13 years since your debut now. Looking back on your life, from the moment you were approached with a casting offer at the bus stop on your way to school right up to now, which has there been more of: things that went according to plan, or unexpected events?

Well, I’m not really one for making plans. If something pops into my head, I ask straight away if it’s possible, and if it isn’t, I just forget about it. So, to be honest, I’m not really sure whether more things have gone according to plan or whether there have been more unexpected events.

You’ve experienced an unusually large number of ‘firsts’ over the last three or four years, haven’t you? From holding a ‘hug session’ the very day after your discharge, to creating iconic moments like ‘Jin-Wick’ in ‘Run, Seok-jin!’, and the innovative format of your solo tour as well. What is it that gives you the strength to keep moving towards new beginnings?

It’s fun, isn’t it? (Laughs.) If you just repeat the same format every time, even the most enjoyable things gradually lose their appeal. That’s why I’ve always tried something new. I wanted to create moments that ARMY would enjoy. If I had to pick one moment I’d like to praise myself for, it would be the time I spend thinking about what new thing to try next.

What is Jin’s greatest fear right now? I have a feeling you won’t tell us honestly, though (laughs).

There isn’t really anything I’m afraid of, but as you say, even if there were, I probably wouldn’t mention it (laughs). ARMYs seem to worry that if I do have any fears, I might actually face them head-on. I don’t want to put them in that position.

Hearing your answer just now, it seems you’ve always made a particular effort not to worry your fans. Is there a reason you always try to show your cheerful side first?

When I’m pursuing my hobbies, I only want to see the good things too. That’s only natural, isn’t it? ARMYs are watching us to cherish good memories, so deliberately giving them something to worry about just isn’t my style.

What does ‘success’ mean to you now, Jin? Has your definition of it changed since the early days of your debut?

Many people smile when they see me, and I’ve had many experiences that are difficult to come by at such a young age. In the early days of my debut, simply surviving was a major concern. Now, thanks to all the love I’ve received, I find myself worrying about different things—such as how I can make ARMY happy… I’d say that simply embracing that change is a form of success in itself.

If you had to pick just one decision you’ve made in your life so far that you’re most proud of, what would it be?

I suppose it would have to be joining BTS.

Even though we’ve been together for quite some time now, the members are still very fond of the eldest. The youngest members, especially Jungkook, tend to play a lot of pranks and show their affection without any hesitation. Are there moments when you feel, ‘Ah, I really am loved’?

I think the members and I feel much the same way. Since I love the members so much, don’t you think they love me just as much as I love them? When I love the members, I feel that I, too, am being loved.

So, just how much do you love the members, Jin?

Just as much as they love me—that’s more than enough.

You’re someone who’s always trying to make others happy or comfort them through music. But what do you actually gain from music yourself?

I’ve gained everything. Through music, I’ve gained my whole life as it is now.

One last question. What does ‘being true to Kim Seok-jin’ mean to you?

I’m someone who wants to live life on my own terms. Of course, I can’t do everything I want, but…

BTS’s Jin, the ‘Worldwide Handsome’, shines with manners as radiant as his good looks [Star News]

BTS’s Jin has won over fans with his radiant manners, which are every bit as dazzling as his natural good looks.

On the 24th, Jin shared photos on his Instagram of himself and the other members taking pictures of one another in the dressing room during the half-time show for the 2026 North and Central America World Cup final. These images, showing the dressing room after the half-time performance held on the 20th and the members taking photos of one another, were posted on his personal social media account.

In the photos, Jin is seen wearing a hooded T-shirt from the BTS tour merchandise range and jeans, holding a large camera to take photos of the members. He wore a FIFA World Cup AD card around his neck, and when a member took a photo of him, he struck a pose with his finger to his lips.

Jin also shared a photo in which he had covered the faces of the staff members who had posed with him in the dressing room with words such as ‘person’, ‘human’, ‘man’ and ‘human being’. The photo captured a scene of the members and staff together in the dressing room.

Meanwhile, on the 20th (Korean time), BTS performed ‘Dynamite’ during the half-time show at the 2026 North and Central America World Cup final, held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA. Jin delivered the song’s high-note highlights.

Following the performance, the official BBC Sport account featured Jin in the largest photograph among the BTS members. The official Grammy account was the only one to post a solo shot of Jin, whilst several other official accounts shared clips of his parts, posted his photos, or used them as thumbnails.

🐹To be honest, if I’m being honest about this too.. there’s a part in the performance of “NORMAL” where I gesture for the audience to wave their hands. I had been singing the song for months, but that day I had to sing it with Korean lyrics, so I had to concentrate on the changed lyrics. (Laughs)

🐹Because it’s fun(Laughs) If you keep repeating the same format every time, even the most enjoyable things gradually start to lose their appeal. That’s why I’ve always tried something new each time. I wanted to create moments for ARMY to have fun and enjoy themselves. 🐹If I had to pick one moment when I feel I deserve to praise myself, it would be the time I spend thinking about what new thing I could try next.

📖What is Jin most afraid of right now? Somehow, I have a feeling you won’t give me an honest answer. (Laughs)

🐹There’s nothing in particular that I’m afraid of, but as you said, even if there were something, I probably wouldn’t talk about it. (Laughs) When ARMY think that I might be afraid of something, they worry about what would happen if I actually had to face those things. I don’t want to put them in a situation like that.

📖Hearing your answer just now, I realize that you’ve always seemed particularly careful not to make your fans worry. Is there a reason why you always try to show your bright side first?

🐹When I’m enjoying my own hobbies, I also want to see only good things. That’s natural, isn’t it? ARMY probably watch me because they want to hold on to good memories, so giving them something to worry about just isn’t my style.

📖What does “Success” mean to Jin now? Has your definition of it changed compared to when you first debuted?

🐹A lot of people smile when they see me, and I’ve also had many experiences that are difficult to have at such a young age. When I first debuted, my biggest concern was simply surviving. Now, thanks to all the love I’ve received, I have different concerns from back then, like how to make ARMY happy… I think I can call it success simply because I’ve experienced that kind of change.

📖If you had to pick just one decision that you’ve made in your life that you think was the best, what would it be?

🐹I suppose it would have to be becoming the BTS.

📖Even though quite a lot of time has passed since you first started working together, the members still really love their hyung. Brothers, especially Jk, tend to tease you a lot and express his affection without hesitation. Are there moments when you think, "Ah, I really am loved?"

🐹 I think the feelings I have for the members are similar to the feelings they have for me. Since I love the members that much, wouldn't they love me just as much as I love them? When I love the members, I also feel that I am loved by them.

📖Then how much does Jin love the members?

🐹 As much as the members love me. Enough to be more than enough.

📖You are someone who always tries to make someone happy or comfort them through music. What, in turn, do you yourself get from music?

🐹I got everything from Music. Music has given me my entire life.

🐹I am someone who wants to live the way I want to. Of course, I know I can't do everything.
