You stirred your tea on the table, waiting for Wooyoung to come. He was the only one who knew about your situation with Felix and he was the only person that came to mind that you knew wouldn’t judge you.
Hell, sometimes you even wished that you liked him as much as you liked Felix. But fate never worked out in the way one would want.
Wooyoung came almost rushing towards you and said a breathy hi to you, before pressing a kiss to your cheek in a greeting.
“Tell me everything, look at your face! Are you okay?” he asked with his eyebrows furrowed and he had a clear worried look on his face.
You sighed and told him everything, from what had happened at Chris’ wedding to what you had just heard a couple of minutes ago.
Wooyoung pulled his face back in shock and shook his head in astonishment, “So… what you’re saying is that you think he’s sexually gaslighting you, Y/N?” he asked you in horror. “Shit, that’s diabolical”
You let out a little breath and sipped on your tea.
“I mean, it makes sense if you think about it. You’re probably not going to try so hard to beat him now if you’re in love with him” Wooyoung said and then looked at the wall behind you, in a thoughtful manner. “I wonder what it’s like to be a dude that uses his raw animal magnetism as a weapon” Wooyoung frowned. “Can’t imagine. Never even… thought about doing it, it’s crazy”
“Yeah, but it’s one thing to flirt, Woo” you told him, frowning angrily. “It’s on a whole another level to pretend to have true feelings. I just- I feel like such an idiot”
You quickly wiped the tears that fell from your eyes and sipped on your tea.
“Are you um… are you sure it’s okay for us to talk about this?” you asked carefully. “You know, after…”
Wooyoung smiled at you and nodded. “Yeah, don’t worry, girlie. I care too much about you to lose you as a friend. And you had to bear with me when I broke up with Heejin a couple of months ago, so…” he shrugged. “It’s only fair, I guess”
You chuckled and then sniffled your nose. “I just… I just can’t believe I let myself be fooled like this. He seemed so sincere, so genuine” you explained, more tears falling. You felt your voice catching and you stopped yourself.
Wooyoung sighed and smiled, placing his hand on your thigh with a pat. “Well, fear not my sweet friend. You’re going to rock your job interview and get it, because it’s rightfully yours” he said.
You smiled and grabbed his hand, placing a small kiss on the back of it. “Thank you, Woo”
“Yeah, I believe in you” he said, handing you a cookie which you gladly took. “I have faith you’ll restore the peace among the office. It’s rightfully needed. Don’t need more of Bang Seojun’s goons fluttering all over my work like mosquitoes. So annoying”
“Yes, well, justice requires that Felix live a long life alone, sucking on Bang Seojun’s nasty and disgusting ass” you said and Wooyoung nodded, lifting his coffee cup with a shrug.
“Cheers to that” he said with a chuckle.
Before you could cheer with your friend, Felix appeared in front of you both, making you look up at him and quickly look down.
“Hey, Felix” Wooyoung said in a hesitant voice.
“What are you doing here?” you asked in a strained voice, blinking a few times up at him.
Felix’s eyebrows furrowed, noticing the tone in your voice and the dried tears on your cheeks.
“I was looking for you” he said, wide eyed. “I… I thought I could join you for some coffee, or- well, tea. I know you don’t like coffee, so…” he chuckled nervously.
You smiled without humour and shook your head. “I don’t like you enough to have coffee with you” you said in a small voice and then sipped on your cup of tea.
Felix pulled his face back and pressed his tongue on the inside of his mouth. He exhaled and nodded. “Right. My mistake” he quietly said and left the coffee shop with a frown clear all over his expression.
When he was out of sight, you let out the breath you were holding and Wooyoung whistled. “You were solid, girlie. Well done” he chuckled in a whisper.
You smiled at him with a fake tight lipped smile.
“Hey…” he said and you looked up at him. “Don’t feel sorry for him for snapping at him like that. Are you kidding me?” Wooyoung chuckled.
“I don’t know, Woo” you breathed out and felt your eyes blurring with tears once again.
As you stared into the cup of tea you had in your hands, your thoughts started revolving around in your head. He seemed so predictable and yet, now he left you speechless. For the second time.
The first time had been when he had confessed his feelings for you were more than just a simple liking: he loved you.
But now, the second time he had left you speechless, thinking that maybe he wasn’t as predictable as you may have thought, had been when maybe he didn’t love you like he said he did. He had played with your feelings in a way that you didn’t expect. It was cruel, even.
You sniffled and patted the skin under your eyes, trying to erase the tears that were falling.
You had to go back to the office and seem like you hadn’t been crying all morning for some douchebag.
Like Felix Lee hadn’t made you cry.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
At the office back again, you plopped your ass down on the chair and you lifted your head up, only to find Felix already staring at you. He eyed you curiously and then looked back to his computer.
You felt your heart clenching even harder by the minute. You wanted to say so many things and at the same time, you wanted to run back to your home and hide under the covers for at least a week. You also wanted him to ask you, to talk to you, but at the same time, you wanted him to never talk to you again, or hell, never even look in your direction.
An hour later into your work, you could finally get your head away from thoughts in the form of a freckled man sitting across from you.
You sighed as you looked at your inbox and noticed that there was a missing email you knew that should be there
“Do we have confirmation that the book presentation dinner is going to be at The Grand in London?” you asked Felix, without peeling your eyes away from the screen in front of you.
“I sent you the email” Felix muttered, writing away in his stupid little diary.
“No, I’m looking at my inbox and there is no fucking sign of an email” you said angrily, finally looking up at him.
“Well, you’re either blind or lying, as per usual. That would not surprise me” Felix said with a tone you could not quite decipher.
You frowned and pulled your head back in shock. “I don’t lie” you stated slowly.
“Yes” he said, and your gazes met, making your heart plummet to the bottom of your stomach. “All the time. You just don’t see it as a lie because you tell people what they want to hear”
You narrowed your eyes. “What? Name one time I did that, Felix Lee” you spat in an accusatory manner.
He scoffed. “You told me you were not interested in Wooyoung” he said and pushed his hands on the desk to stand up, avoiding your gaze.
“That’s amazing, wow” you chuckled with sarcasm, standing up like he did. “You’re actually going to continue with this stupid little game, aren’t you?”
Felix didn’t look at you, he just continued to pretend there was something interesting in what he was doing by his desk.
“Kick me out of my spot, get the job, get me fired, whatever” you shrugged, almost yelling at him. “Lie about your feelings? Tell me that you love me? That was way too much, Felix Lee. Way too much” you said and you tried to refrain your voice from breaking but it was very hard.
Felix frowned and turned around to look at you properly. “What?”
“Oh yeah!” you chuckled with sarcasm. “I heard you with Bang Seojun in his office just a while ago, with that little misogynistic bastard that apparently enjoys whenever you go and suck his dick just for a little ounce of approval, which, by the way, let me say that it’s very very pathetic. It’s sad, even” you spat in his face.
“I don’t follow, Y/N. I’m sorry-”
“You planned this whole thing just to get that stupid, stupid job!” you almost yelled at him. “You lied about loving me and shit, just to get that job and you told Bang Seojun proudly like the little shit you are. You probably forgot to tell him all about the sex we had which he probably would’ve enjoyed-”
Felix’s eyes widened. “I didn’t-”
“Hey! Hey! What is going on here?” Bang Seojun walked out of his office, with a frown on his face. “Felix, I’m gonna need those confirmations for the dinner at The Grand on my desk by Friday”
Felix scoffed. “I don’t have time, Seojun. Y/N can do that” the freckled man said.
Bang Seojun turned around and looked at you as you walked over to your desk. “Y/L/N” he said and you turned around, rolling your eyes. “Can you do that for me?”
“You know, Bang Seojun, I would love to do whatever it is that you just ordered Mr. Patrick Bateman over there, but I doubt an idiot in heels and a push-up bra might be very helpful to you” you spat and turned around back again to sit on your desk.
Bang Seojun stared at you and then shrugged. He turned to Felix and pointed at him. “Dr. Lee, confirmations on my desk by Friday. That’s final” he said sternly and walked back into the lair he called his office.
Felix sighed and then looked at you. You were packing up your stuff angrily and his chest fully tightened at the sight of your face scrunched up, desperately trying not to cry.
“Y/N, can we talk in private? So we can at least calm down” he said, coming closer to you.
He touched your arm and you flinched away from him. You scowled and stepped away from him.
“Don’t… fucking… touch me” you whispered to him. “Whatever it is that we had going on, whatever the fuck it was, it’s over, alright?”
You gave him one last look and walked away from him, into the elevator. As soon as the doors closed, you slumped against the wall and started sobbing, feeling your chest hurting from everything that had happened. From the disappointment.
From believing that maybe Felix Lee had loved you back.
Felix looked at you leaving and let out a shaky sigh.
“You’re such an idiot” he whispered to himself.
The door of Bang Seojun’s office opened with a loud bang, making him jump in his spot.
He turned around and saw Seojun with eyes widened and angry, he looked out of his character, angry. Well, maybe not angry. He looked livid.
“Dr. Lee?” he asked in a slow and low voice. “Wanna explain to me what the fuck is this?”
Felix swallowed and looked at the papers that his boss had in his hand.
“Did I read this correctly?”
“Yes, you did” Felix replied instantly, without missing a beat.
Bang Seojun scoffed and shook his head, “Can you come into my office so we can… talk whatever this is?” he spat.
Felix nodded. “Yeah, of course”
His boss walked back into his office and Felix shut the door behind him once he was inside.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You shut the door of your apartment and collapsed on it, sliding slowly on the floor. You slapped your hand over your mouth to contain the sobs racking over your body.
The energy was slowly leaving your body as you let every single emotion drain you from it. You were so tired.
Tired of overthinking. Tired of feeling. Tired of hating.
Everything had been such a rollercoaster. For a moment you hated him, then you started to tolerate him, and just when you fell for him, you hated him all over again.
Well, maybe you were just lying to yourself, to overshadow the fact that you could never hate him. You had fallen so deep in love for him that going back to hating him wasn’t going to be easy. At all.
You didn’t know how much time had passed since you arrived at home, all you knew was that when you looked through the window for the first time since you got there, it was dark.
With a groan, you lifted yourself off of the floor, wincing when you felt the sharp pain in your buttcheeks from sitting on the hardwood.
You sat on the couch with a tired sigh and grabbed your phone from your pocket.
Maybe it wasn’t the right time, it wasn’t going to solve any of your problems but texting your mom could give you peace.
When you unlocked your phone, you saw three missed calls from Felix and two unread texts.
Felix Lee: hey, i know you probably hate me rn
Felix Lee: but i need to talk to you, I need to explain. it wasn’t at all like that. I promise.
You sighed and ignored them. You clicked on your chat with your mom and smiled at the thought of her having a good time in Europe.
You: hey mom!!
You: I miss you…
You let out a shaky breath, trying not to cry again.
Your phone buzzed almost instantly.
Mom: hey bub! i miss you too. what are you up to?
You: eh… feeling a little like shit, i guess
You chewed on your lip, feeling embarrassed that you needed to talk to your mother about your love life.
Mom: let me guess, paradise on the rocks?
With a snort, you typed back.
You: you could say that, yes
Mom: wanna talk about it, bub?
You: not really
You: i guess i wanted to talk to you
Mom: look at you, getting all sappy on me
You: i’ll block you
Mom: no, don’t do that !!!
She sent a bunch of emojis, like an old lady would. It made you laugh out loud.
Mom: whatever happened, just remember that you are an awesome girl. and whatever you’re feeling, pain isn’t forever.
Mom: it’ll pass.
Mom: it’ll all work out
You: you did not just quote Tom Petty to me
Mom: I might’ve yes…
You smiled and felt your chin quivering. You missed her so much.
You: love you, momma
Mom: love you more, my sweet bub
You sniffled and set your phone aside. You grabbed the remote control and immediately clicked on Netflix.
Before you could start to binge watch your misery away, you stood up, opening the cabinet that stored the friend you left for emergencies: whiskey.

Felix arrived at his home late at night and left the keys by the furniture next to the door.
He sighed and closed his eyes, feeling the tears blurring his eyesight. As he released the breath he was holding in his throat, he sat down on the couch and leaned his head back against the back of it.
The guilt was eating him up. You had misunderstood everything completely, and you didn’t let him even explain. It had been gory almost, the way you just looked at him. It was pure hurt. You were hurt. He had caused it.
Felix sniffled as his body shook. He couldn’t believe he had lost you. He couldn’t even bask in the feeling of finally having you, after all that time.
He felt like killing Bang Seojun for even existing.
His plan had gone wrong, maybe it wasn’t so worth it, if it was gonna cause you even more pain than he already did.
Felix unlocked his phone and a little smile stretched in his face when he saw that Chris had posted the wedding pictures on his instagram.
cb97: forever and ever @sana_m
He swiped over the 15 photos his stepbrother had posted and his heart stopped when in one of them, there was a familiar figure smiling in the background.
You next to him. You were looking up at him with such happiness on your face. And he was happy too, he could see it. He was smiling, full teeth grin, and his hand was posed on your waist. Felix felt jealousy of his past self. How he had you so close to him, touching you.
His fingers caressed the screen pathetically, searching for the comfort he once felt when he had you.
But it was impossible to replace the feeling that you gave him when you were next to him.
How at home he felt every single time.
His chin quivered and felt a sharp pain in his chest, the heartache becoming almost unbearable. He clutched at his heart over the shirt he had used for work as he cried. He sobbed the pain away.
He was never going to hear your laugh again.
He was never going to kiss you again.
He was never going to be able to tell you how much he loved you again.
He was never going to hear you saying you loved him again.
He was never-
Riiiiiiing…
He jumped in his place and grabbed the phone that was busy buzzing on his lap.
Felix turned the device around and to say that his heart nearly stopped would be an understatement.
Y/N could be read prettily on the phone screen.
He quickly swiped to answer the call and carefully placed his phone up to his ear.
“Hello? Baby?” he slowly said.
He could hear a breathing down the other side of the line but no one spoke.
“Hey? Are you okay, where are-”
“I hate you- you know?” your slurred voice dug another knife on his chest. “God, I love you so much that I hate you”
You were drunk.
He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Baby, you’re drunk, where are you?”
“I’m- ‘M not… I just drank a little but you’re not my daddy so shut up- hick!”
If his heart hadn’t been beating so hard, he probably would’ve giggled.
“Where are you?”
“I don’t- I don’t know” you slurred.
Felix could hear the sound of cars and traffic and his heart started clenching at the thought of you alone and drunk at night.
“What can you see? I’m coming to pick you up, baby. Just tell me” he said, quickly standing up from the couch as his eyes scanned the room to locate his car keys.
“Um… I see a tree and uh… a house” you said, your feet dragging over the concrete. “A car…”
He quickly got out of his home and in no time, his shoes were kissing the street grounds. “Okay you’re doing good, what else do you see?” he asked, fumbling with his car keys.
You didn’t say anything.
“Baby?”
“I see you”
His heart dropped and so did his phone, well, almost. He was there to catch it on time.
He looked around frantically, searching for you.
Felix finally saw you, eyes posing on your figure. You were on the opposite street looking at him with tears streaming down your eyes and you were still wearing the clothes you had worn to the office that day.
Your skirt was slightly wrinkled, the first two buttons of your shirt were undone and your hair was a little tussled, like you had run your hands all over it various times.
He saw you stepping over to the edge of the sidewalk and his eyes widened.
“No, no, no!” he shouted, scared that you were going to cross the street without looking.
He crossed the street, earning honks from angry drivers. Once he was in front of you, he didn’t know what to do. He wanted to do so many things, like hug you, cry, grab your shoulders and shake you as he shouts: what the hell were you thinking?
He was so angry at you for getting drunk and walking alone at night down the street but at the same time he was so relieved you were here.
With a deep breath, mostly to calm himself down, he grabbed your shoulders and pressed you against your side, noticing your not so slight shaking.
“Come on, let’s get you inside, alright?” he cooed.
“Okay” you whispered.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You let out a deep breath once your ass hit the mattress of his bed.
“You can shower if you want” he told you. “Or take a bath, whatever you want. I can start one for you-”
“Oh my God, shut up” you said, placing your palms over your ears.
Felix quickly pressed his lips together.
“I’m… I’m so mad at you right now” You said slowly, slurring your words out. “I can’t think straight. I’ve been crying… all evening. The only thing I could think of to drown the thought of you was alcohol. How pathetic is that?”
Felix looked down at his shoes, feeling his heart shattering at what you were telling him.
“But my God, it’s even more pathetic to think that not even the alcohol could make me forget about how much I love you. And I hate it. You hurt me… so much” you said and your voice broke, but your face remained emotionless. “Hearing you… with Bang Seojun, talking about me like I meant nothing. Like we meant nothing. It just… it just shattered me. I don’t need help beating her. Of course you didn’t”
Felix wanted to say so many things. But he knew you were drunk and you were not going to remember anything he would say to you. You were so wrong. You got his talk with Bang Seojun wrong and he couldn’t tell you because you wouldn’t remember it.
Or worse, you wouldn’t believe him.
So, he opted to be a patient man. His plan had to work somehow.
“Y/N, you’re hurt and drunk, okay? You need a bath” he said in a sweet, warm tone.
You looked up at him, eyes full of hurt and nodded. “Okay” you whispered.
He smiled at you and nodded. “Alright, let’s go”
Soon, you found yourself standing in the middle of his bathroom, alone. You looked at yourself in the mirror and huffed with a frown.
What the hell were you doing here?
You rolled your eyes at yourself and unbuttoned your shirt, throwing it along with your bra on a pile on the floor. You let your skirt pool on your feet and kicked it off with your panties.
With a tired sigh, you stepped inside, letting your sore muscles soak in the warm water. You looked over to your side to brush your hair away from your face and you noticed a candle lit over the side of the tub.
The little but heartfelt detail didn’t have to make your chest swoon, but it did. Even after everything, he was taking care of you. Why?
Why would he do all of this after everything that happened? After everything that he had done?
Why would he offer to take such care of you after he had betrayed you in the most heartbreaking way?
You felt your face crumbling as you started sobbing. You quickly slapped your hands over your face, to drown out the sound of your desperate crying, but Felix wasn’t oblivious to it. He wanted to hug you, and kiss you, and tell you that he loved you more than anything in the world, that everything that he did was for you.
But it wasn’t the time to do that.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
The next morning, your eyes fluttered open and immediately groaned as you felt a sharp pain stabbing inside of your head.
“Fucking hell… I’m never… ever drinking again” you whispered to yourself, pressing your fingers over the sides of your head.
When you could zero in your surroundings, your eyes widened when you realised that you were not in your room, but instead, in his room.
You sat up quickly and looked at the clothes you were wearing.
His clothes.
“No… no, no, no, no, no” you mumbled to yourself, letting your face fall to your hands. “When- how did this happen?” the questions started showering over inside your head.
Suddenly, Felix walked out of the bathroom from inside his room wearing nothing but a low towel sitting on his hips. He had just taken a shower and his hair was damp, droplets of water falling over his bare chest, over his abs-
God if you weren’t so mad at him, you would just-
FOCUS!
You shook your head and looked at him with your best angry face you could muster. “What am I doing here?” you asked him.
Felix turned around with a little jump, clearly surprised to see you awake. “Oh hey, you’re up” he said with a little smile.
“Answer my question” you spat, frowning.
Felix blinked and scratched the nape of his neck sheepishly. “You came over last night. You were drunk. I offered you a bath and I gave you some clothes because- well, you didn’t have any” he explained, his shoulders shrugging a little with a pout on his face.
“I came here naked?!”
“No! No, no, you came over with your work clothes from yesterday. You took a shower and because your clothes were– you know, dirty, I gave you some of mine” he quickly explained, making your body sag in relief.
He looked so small explaining everything, and it made you feel bad. But you didn’t have to feel bad, he literally broke your heart… but then, why did you feel guilty as well?
“Did you- did we-”
“No, no. I slept on the couch. I just came here to take a shower, that’s it. I promise” Felix quickly clarified, holding his hands up. “I can- um… I can make some breakfast for you if you want”
“No, thank you, I want to go home” you said with a sarcastic laugh. “Thank you for saving me from the embarrassment but I’d love to go home”
Felix let out a disappointed sigh. “Very well, um… I left your clothes on the chair by the corner. I can get you an uber if you’d like-”
“I’ll get one myself” you sighed, and then groaned, feeling your headache getting worse by the minute.
“Let me get you an Advil at least” Felix said, placing his hands on his waist.
You avoided looking at him or anything that involved him because he was looking very naked and very beautiful in front of you.
“Okay, um, Felix, can you at least get changed or anything? I cannot focus with you naked in front of me” you groaned, grabbing the sides of your head.
Felix would’ve smirked and made a comment about it, if he hadn’t been so invested in making sure you were alright.
“Um, yeah, sure. I- I’ll-”
“Nevermind, I’ll just go to the living room” you groaned, knowing that he just came out of the shower, it was cold, and he probably wanted to change into some clothes.
You shut the door of his room behind you and walked into the living room. Once you found Advil, you downed a pill with a glass of water and left it by the sink. Then, you sat on the couch and let out a long breath.
If there was something you knew for sure it was that you were never going to be tasting a single drop of alcohol ever again.
After a few minutes of sulking in your own misery, Felix came out of his room wearing an attire that you weren’t used to seeing him in. He was wearing a white shirt with a plaid flannel and short jean pants.
You realised that you were only wearing one of his shirts and a pair of his boxers as a replacement for your underwear. It was very intimate now that you thought about it, wearing a piece of clothing that laid against the most private parts of his.
“You can get dressed in the clothes you wore yesterday and I can… take you to your house or wherever you’d like” he offered, kind of reading your mind.
His eyebrows were arched, and his eyes shone with guilt. And concern. And sadness. And love.
“Okay…” you whispered, pretty much exhausted to argue with him.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
In his car, the silence was so awkward you wanted the earth to just swallow you up whole. You opted for just staring at the window, the rainy weather suddenly became more important and interesting than whatever was going on inside your head.
Felix kept stealing glances at you, and he suddenly felt the deja vu crawling inside his veins. Just like the time you shared the kiss inside the elevator and then he offered to give you a ride.
But this time it was worse.
This time there was a lot more going on than just a simple kiss.
You let out a sigh without realising and Felix turned his whole head to look at you.
“Y/N, I’m sorry…” he started and you closed your eyes.
“No, I’m not doing this, Felix” you said quietly.
“But please just let me. Because you got this wrong, okay?” Felix begged, his hands gripping the steering wheel.
“Then tell me! What did I get wrong?” you scoffed, slapping your hands over your legs.
Felix was about to say something but nothing came out of his mouth.
“I can’t- I just-” he stammered and you rolled your eyes.
“How disappointing” you whispered, knowing that it would hurt him. But you wanted to hurt him. You wanted him to feel at least an ounce of the pain that you were feeling.
Felix parked the car outside of your house and you placed your hand on the door handle.
“You got nothing to say to me?” you asked him, your eyes gathering some tears.
Felix swallowed and looked at you. “That I never lied to you. And if I ever did… just know that my love for you isn’t a lie. I love you more than anything, Y/N” he said quietly, holding your gaze. “I never wanted to hurt you. Ever”
Your chin quivered. “But you did” you whispered, opened the door and shut it behind you.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
Monday came around.
The big day.
You spent the entire Sunday holed up in your house preparing everything for the presentation for the job.
You dressed yourself up in the best dress that you had in your wardrobe and grabbed the cunty heels that you wore… well, for that.
You looked at yourself in the mirror one last time and smiled at yourself.
“You got this” you told yourself.
An hour later, you arrived at the building and immediately went to Hwayoung’s office.
“Hey!” she said.
“Hey, I’m so fucking nervous” you blurted out, placing your purse on the chair and sitting on the couch by the corner.
Hwayoung let out a laugh and placed her hands on her desk. “You got this, Y/N. More than anyone” she said. “The people over there are gonna be delighted by this young beautiful and determined woman who won’t let anyone just step over her”
“You think so?” you asked in a small voice.
“But of course! I believe in you, hell, we in Kim Publishing, we all believe in you”
“Thank you” you sighed. “I’ve had a terrible weekend, I don’t even know how I managed to get everything ready”
“Because you’re the best” Hwayoung simply put. “Wanna tell me what went on?”
“God no. Not worth it” you exhaled.
Hwayoung gave you a curious look and then nodded. “Alright, I won’t bug you. Just know you can trust me”
You looked at her and smiled. “I know, thanks” you said and blew her a kiss.
Suddenly, someone came and knocked on the door.
“Come in” Hwayoung called.
A guy from the reception came in and smiled at the both of you. “Hey, Miss Kim. They’re waiting for Y/N at the meeting room”
“Oh shit” you whispered, earning a giggle from Hwayoung.
“We’ll be right there, thank you” she thanked the guy and smiled at you two, bowing and then leaving. “Let’s go!” she squealed, clapping her hands.
You were so nervous you felt like throwing up. But Hwayoung believed in you, and so did Wooyoung.
And you didn’t want to let them down. You weren’t going to let Bang Seojun control this place.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
The presentation went awfully well, which scared you a little bit. You rethought every single thing you said but you couldn't recall anything you had done wrong.
You waited by the break room for the final results with Wooyoung.
“I think you nailed it” Wooyoung said with confidence.
“You don’t know that, you weren’t in there” you chuckled, bumping him with your hip.
“I still know you did well” he shrugged.
You smiled, it was nice knowing that you had people that had your back.
“By the way, I didn’t see Felix going in” Wooyoung said with a frown.
Your heart stopped at the mention of his name. “What- what do you mean?”
“I mean, I’ve been eyeing the door of the meeting room, you know, ‘cause my office is literally in front of it and I didn’t see anyone looking like him going in. Nor anyone calling his name” he told you.
Strange.
“Maybe… there were other meetings? He’s had his earlier?” you started thinking of the possibilities with a frown.
“Mmm, no, I don’t think so” Wooyoung shook his head, deep in thought. “The only chance we all had to do this presentation for the job was today and there’s only one meeting room, so…”
You frowned and looked down at your cup of tea.
“And I saw Bang Seojun very angry. He was mumbling nonsense under his breath, banging doors, his eyes almost out of place, he looked nuts” he chuckled.
You snorted. “When does he not?”
Wooyoung laughed and shook his head. “God, I hope you get that job. We can’t let anyone of Bang Editorials get a spot of power here” he sighed.
You shook your head in agreement. “Nope, we can’t” you said. “Even if I don’t get this job, I’m still going to be on Hwayoung's side. I’m not about to kiss Seojun’s disgusting ass. Not like others”
Wooyoung frowned and pulled his face back.
“I was clearly talking about Felix, Wooyoung. Not you”
“Oh…” he said, looking extremely relieved.
The door of the meeting room opened and you startled in your place.
The final verdict was about to be unveiled.
“Hello everyone, please gather around” one of the ‘judges’ spoke for the other two. “We wanted to announce that our decision has been made, and we’ve selected the new managing director”
You pressed your lips together.
The woman started naming all of the people that had given the presentation for the job, naming you but… not naming Felix.
What was going on?
“And the new managing director is… Y/N Y/L/N, congratulations Miss!” the woman said and you gasped.
Everyone next to you clapped and you smiled at them, bowing in gratefulness.
“Thank you” you said to the judges.
Hwayoung came over and hugged you. “Oh I’m so proud of you, sweetie!” she squealed.
You giggled and hugged the woman back, feeling so grateful that you had someone like her on your team.
Wooyoung joined the hug, making you two laugh at him.
When you pulled away, you saw Bang Seojun walking towards you with an angry stare. “Just so you know, you fucked up everything” he spat.
“I beg your pardon?” you frowned, taken aback by his sudden outburst.
“This spot should’ve been Felix’s!” he said, sounding like a child. “The fact that the little stupid failure of a doctor pulled back from this job just so he could be with you is incredibly- incredibly pathetic”
Hold up, what?
“Excuse me?”
“What you just heard!” he said and twirled on his heel, walking away comically.
You would’ve laughed if you hadn’t been so taken aback about what he just said.
You looked at Wooyoung who looked just as shocked as you were.
You had gotten it all wrong.
So wrong.
“I’m- I’m sorry, I gotta go” you apologised.
In no time, you raced to the elevator and went to the office you shared with him, but he wasn’t there, which was odd. Felix never skipped a day at work.
You didn’t see his coat on the hanger, so he hadn’t even come to work.
“Fuck” you whispered to yourself.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
Felix was at his home, typing his work away on his computer, when he heard the doorbell of his home ringing non stop.
He sighed irritatedly. “I’m going!” he yelled, already pissed at the person who was practically stabbing the bell.
He opened it and gasped when he saw you there, wearing a cute frown on your face.
“Y/N? What are you-”
“Let me in, please” you pleaded.
He choked on his own saliva but quickly nodded. “Um, y-yeah, sure” he said.
You muttered a quiet thank you and ushered inside, taking off your coat, leaving it on the couch and standing on the living room, pacing.
Felix looked at you and frowned. “So… what’s… what’s up?” he asked, nervously placing his hands inside his jean pockets.
“Did you drop the spot for the job?” you blurted out.
“yes” he replied. Instantly.
“Why?”
He cleared his throat. “There are various reasons”
“Tell me everything please” you replied, pleading.
He nodded, “you might- you might wanna sit down”
You did as you were told and kept eye contact with him as he did the same, sitting on the opposite couch as yours.
“I dropped the spot because you wanted it” he started. “You were so invested in it… and at first, so was I. I’m not gonna lie, I wanted the spot. I really did. But then…”
He let out a sigh and combed his hair with his fingers in a nervous manner.
“Then what?”
“Then you and I went to the wedding. Chris’ wedding. And… we talked. You were so afraid of the job coming between us, of thinking that if any of us got the job, our thing would be over. And it made me realise that it was probably true. It could come between us and there was nothing more than I wanted than… be with you. And I still do. I want to be with you. Because I love you. So much, Y/N. There’s not a day that my heart doesn’t beat for you. So I dropped out of the job” he sighed. “Because if getting that damn job was going to drive you away from me… then fuck it, I don’t want it”
By the time he finished, you were crying, fat tears rolling down your cheeks. “And— and that day, at Bang Seojun’s office, what-”
“I was just saying stuff to shut him up. I left my papers that stated that I was out of the job that day” Felix confessed. “And… he was very mad at me”
“I know” you chuckled, wiping your tears away. “He literally came to my face after they announced that I got the job and started saying: that should’ve been Felix, not you!” you laughed.
“Hold up! You got the job?” Felix asked in a high pitched voice.
Right.
“Oh, shit. Yeah I did” you said.
Felix’s face transformed into the biggest smile you had ever seen coming out of him. His cheeks probably hurt from how much he was smiling and he practically glowed.
“Oh my God, baby I’m so happy for you” he said, sitting down next to you and your heart started beating faster.
You were so happy that you had been wrong. You were so wrong. He was right. You misunderstood everything.
Your face crumbled and you started sobbing. Felix grabbed at your shoulders and caressed them. “Hey… what’s wrong? You should be happy!”
“I’m sorry” you sobbed and hugged him, throwing your arms around his neck and burying your face in his neck. You knew you didn’t deserve it, but the feeling of his warm skin against yours was so gratifying after such a shitty week.
Felix’s eyes widened, but his arms quickly wrapped around you and pulled you tightly and fiercely against him.
“Don’t apologise, love” he whispered against your hair as you melted in his arms, hugging him back as tightly as you could. You had missed him so freaking much.
“Still, I should’ve listened to you” your voice quivered so weakly.
“No, it’s okay. The good thing is that you got the job, and you’re here with me. That’s all that matters”
You smiled and looked up at him. “I love you, Felix Lee”
He frowned and shook his head.
You rolled your eyes.
“I love you, Lix”
He smiled and giggled like a little kid, and your heart just doubled its size.
“That’s even better. I love you. So much, my sweet girl” he cooed, framing your face so softly with his hands.
And then, he kissed you.
And everything was going to be okay, because you loved him and he loved you.
And, hey! You got the job!
Take that, Felix Lee!

𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐄 - 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
The way back home was spent with him just smiling like a goof as he held your hand over the little arm rest in between seats.
You constantly kept stealing glances at him, kind of making sure he wasn’t losing that radiant and blinding smile of his anytime soon.
“So, what now?” he asked, with a little chuckle.
You bit your lip. “Um… straight to the sheets?” you asked hopefully.
Felix giggled and shook his head. “You know, Y/N, I’ve had a lot of women…” he trailed off.
You frowned instantly. “I really hope that sentence has an ending” you chuckled humorlessly.
“I’ve had a lot of women tell me that I’m not the type of guy anyone marries” Felix told you. “I’m the one night stand”
You frowned. That was… weird. Pushing the fact that he was extremely handsome aside, you had kept your eyes on him the entire evening. He was incredibly kind, even if your hatred for him blinded you for a minute, you could see that. He kept talking to his grandparents through the entire wedding, smiling non stop at them. He spent some time talking to his little cousins, who seemed to love him.
And then, you frowned even more.
Did he…?
“Do you think that’s what I’m doing?” you asked in a small voice.
He looked at you and gave you a hopeful look. “I hope not” he simply replied.
You sighed and shook your head. “I really don’t understand you, Felix Lee, like, at all” you told him with a little frustration in your voice. “I really thought you hated my guts”
“Never” he replied instantly, and when you turned your eyes on him, he looked incredibly surprised about what you just said. “Not for one single second, Y/N… and I can prove it to you”
Your eyes scanned him and then you jutted your bottom lip out. “Okay…”
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
Back at his home, Felix led you through the halls towards his bedroom by grabbing you by the shoulders.
“Okay, you can take off your coat and shoes if you want. I’ll be right back” he told you once you two were inside.
You did as you were told and sat on the bed as he opened the drawer of his bedside table.
He took out a box and you immediately gasped, covering your mouth with your hands in surprise. He sat next to you with a sheepish look on his face.
No way.
“Is that…?”
“The cupcake box you gave me when we first met? Yes it is” he said and he felt so embarrassed about the fact that he had been a simp for you since day one.
He sighed.
“I just… that day, I regret being an ass to you. I was so stressed about the new job thing and well- my family wasn’t much of a help at that time either” he confessed. “And then you came in, you walked by with your energetic smile and your attitude, and my walls just crumbled but I couldn't show that to anyone”
You felt your heart slamming inside your ribcage.
He sighed and put the box down on the bed, before turning his body towards you. “Stand up” he said in a gentle voice.
Felix grabbed your hand and helped you up.
“Let's start over, shall we?” he asked you with a smile, chuckling at the way you blinked in utter confusion.
“Um, okay” you replied in a small voice.
He cleared his throat and extended his arm. “Hi. My name is Felix Lee, nice to meet you” he smiled warmly.
You chuckled and shook his hand. “Hi, um… my name is Y/N Y/L/N” you gave him a tight lipped smile, unsure of what to do. “I work at Kim Publishing- well, now Kim-Bang Publishing… unfortunately, because of the merger and all. And here are some cupcakes as a welcome” you said with an airy laugh. “I hope you like them”
He mirrored your laugh and let his hand drop to his side. “And because of that, I’m gonna call you Cupcake for now on”
You smiled at him, feeling your cheeks getting pinker by the second.
“It’ll be a give away that I love you”
And with that, your smile fell. You frowned, but not because you didn’t feel the same.
It was because of the realization that you felt the same.
And most of all, the way that he said it like it was easy. Like he had no troubles with it.
Like he had been loving you for so long.
“You’re freaking out” Felix chuckled at your face.
“No…” you trailed off, grimacing instantly, knowing that your tone was giving you away completely.
“Don’t freak out, Cupcake, it’s alright” he smiled, and you got mad at yourself for feeling like that smile of his was the closest thing you’ve felt to a home.
“I don’t- wait-” you sputtered out, walking away from him as his smile fell from his face. “I can’t do this right now”
“What? What do you mean?” he asked, his heart starting to beat faster.
“In just a couple of weeks one of us is going to be out of a job! Any relationship we can try will be over before it starts, Felix, are you kidding me?” you said, starting to panic.
“Or maybe not” Felix shrugs. “Maybe nobody has to quit”
You sighed and placed your palm on your forehead as you sat back down on the bed. “No, that would never work out, you know that” you whined. “Okay? We would kill each other”
He chuckled and knelt in front of you and placed his hands on your thighs, making you sigh and give in a little into his touch. “Y/N, I know you, all right? I know you’re scared and fuck, so am I” he laughed humourlessly. “I mean fuck, Y/N, do you think I’m not? I just told you that I love you and you freaked out on me. But we don’t have to be afraid. I’m in on it. And you can trust that”
Your eyes blurred with tears and you pressed your lips together to contain a little sob that was threatening to come out. “Okay” you whispered in a small voice.
He smiled and kissed the back of your hands.
Felix leant in for a kiss but you placed your pointer finger on his lips, making him freeze in his spot.
“I love you, too” you whispered to him with a smile.
His eyes visibly widened and the most devastating laugh came out of his lips, making him literally pounce on you to press kisses on every single inch of your face. You squealed, wrapping your arms around his neck.
He pulled away and looked at you in the eyes, making you notice the glint in them.
“Say that again” he whispered.
You smiled and swallowed. “I love you”
“Again”
“I love you”
“Again”
You giggled. “I love you”
“Aga-”
“Felix!”
“Okay, I’m sorry” he chuckled, going down again to kiss your lips softly.
You let him drift his kisses down your neck, making you sigh once you felt his teeth digging into your skin. Felix’s hands danced around your waist, caressing with so much love you felt your heart was nearly melting. His fingers grasped at the hem of your shirt and pulled it over your head.
His kiss went down to your chest, pressing a soft kiss to the valley of your breasts and one over your heart.
“I love you” he whispered against your skin. “so much”
You tried to contain your tears to yourself, biting your lip. It was so overwhelming, the way he just… loved you, like it was the easiest thing in the world.
Like nothing had happened before between the two of you.
Like those months meant more than anything to him, even if it was just fights and snarky comments thrown over your heads.
His hands framed your waist and the way he exhaled over your skin, made you feel goosebumps over your body. His nose trailed down over your sternum, down to your navel and to the hem of your jeans, the ones he did not waste a single minute pulling off your legs.
Felix threw them over his shoulder, making them land on a lamp, and caressed your legs, almost whimpering at the feeling of your soft skin under his palms.
“You’re breathtaking, I swear” he whispered, like he couldn’t believe he had you.
You sat up and gave him doe eyes, making his knees buckle. “Take off your shirt” you demanded with a tiny pout.
He huffed and practically ripped the shirt off of his body, clenching his stomach so his abs could show off. “Fuck, whatever you want” he groaned and went back to hover over you as your back touched the mattress once again.
He grabbed your hands and pushed them up to rest over your head. His lips trailed over to your neck and bit roughly, making you moan and arch your back violently. You were sure there was going to be a big ass mark over there the morning after.
Felix’s hands trailed down over to your bra and you helped him take it off of your body. His hands cup them both with his hands and he groans as his thumbs brushes over your nipples. His touch made you moan and melt into a puddle.
“God, I could eat you up” he whispered, almost to himself. He leant forward and tugged one of your tits into his mouth, sucking with fervor, making you moan and grip his hair with force. He whined against your skin as he switched to the other one, giving it the same attention.
You pulled him off of your chest with your hands in a tight grip around his dark locks and threw him on the bed. You climbed quickly on top of him and he groaned in pleasure, feeling your crotch against his.
Felix’s hands found its place over the curve of your waist, caressing with so much love it made your heart beat even faster.
“It’s my turn now” you smirked cheekily.
Oh God, Felix thought to himself, thinking that whatever you could possibly do would mean his end.
“What are you gonna do, huh?” he asked, mirroring your smirk.
You shrugged with a little hum as you played with the zipper of his jeans. “Hmm… you’ll see” you said in a shy voice and quickly undid his pants, pulling them off his legs with a little bit of his help.
You bit your lip and licked them both when you saw his erection straining inside his boxer briefs.
“Baby…” he warned you.
You just chuckled and pulled them off of his hips and down his legs, his length slapping wetly on his stomach.
You felt your mouth watering and you quickly grabbed it, jerking him off, flicking your wrist whenever your wrist met the base. He started whimpering as one of his hands travelled all the way up your head to have a slight grip on your hair.
Deciding to surprise him once his head was kicked back, you darted out your tongue and licked his tip, making him jerk and whimper in surprise. “Fucking hell” he drawled out, making you giggle at how strong his accent came out.
Your mouth enveloped his entire length, making the tip of his cock hit the back of your throat. You almost gagged at the feeling but contained it pretty well, continuing to suck him off, bobbing your head up and down.
“Fuck, Y/N” he whimpered, in a high pitched tone, uncharacteristic of him. It made your thighs clench as you continued to suck him like he was the tastiest thing you’ve ever had.
Your tongue wrapped around the tip and he jerked his hips up, making said tip hit the back of your throat.
“Shit, I’m sorry, baby” he apologised, his hand clenching around in a fist on your hair as his eyes fluttered open. “You caught me off guard”
You let out a giggle and continued sucking him off like your life depended on it.
All of a sudden, you felt him grabbing your hair tightly, making you whine as he pulled your mouth off of him.
He pulled you up and smashed his lips against yours, kissing you hungrily, his tongue sweeping over yours. He didn’t seem to care one bit that your mouth had been literally all over his dick, because his tongue was licking every single spot in the inside of your mouth. “You’re gonna make me fucking come with that sinful mouth of yours” he groaned against your lips making you smirk.
“I thought that was the whole idea of it” you giggled, biting his bottom lip with your teeth, tugging on it.
His free hand went to grab at one of your asscheeks, gripping it tightly and letting his palm come down in a slap. “I want to come inside of you, baby” he whispered, pressing a kiss to the corner of your lip.
“Do you have a condom then?” you licked your lips.
He closed his eyes and let his forehead drop to your shoulder. You were gonna be the death of him. “They’re in the drawer, let me-”
You pushed him down on the bed, making him huff out in surprise as you climbed on top of him while reaching for the box of condoms.
Felix’s hands came to rest on your thighs as you searched for a condom inside the drawer. His eyes raked all over your figure and he let out a little curse, he really couldn’t believe his luck of having you on top of him. You quickly took one out and tore the foil packet and wrapped it on his hard dick with a little bit of his help.
You took your panties out quickly and went back to sitting on top of him, rubbing your core on his tip. He moaned and angled his hips so he could hit your clit with it.
“Put it in, baby, come on” he pleaded, his eyes full of desire and almost teary from the lust running inside his veins.
You grabbed the base of his cock and slowly, oh so slowly, your hips went down as he bottomed out inside of you. It felt like he was splitting you open in this position and you couldn’t help but clench tightly around him.
“Shit, babe, you’re- you’re so fucking tight” he cried out, his hands gripping your waist so tight that you were sure that he was going to leave a mark. Not that you minded, though. “And you’re so wet, fuck…” he huffed out, clenching his eyelids so hard he could see white.
“You’re so deep inside of me, Lix” you moaned out, throwing your head back with a moan.
You started to move your hips, and whenever your hips went down, his tip touched your spongy spot, the one that made you see stars. It was hard to keep up but as you didn’t want to let him down somehow, you moved your hips furiously, moans falling out of your mouth.
“Shit… fuck, just like that, baby” he whined, moving his hips up, thrusting up to match your pace. “Just like that, yes…”
You placed your palms on his thighs and started thrusting your hips sensually, whenever you reached his base, you clenched around him. He mewled and pawed at your tits, rubbing his thumbs over your nipples.
Taking you by surprise, Felix sat up and maneuvered you into a sitting position, helping you so his dick could get even deeper inside of you, hitting the sweet spot even better.
“Oh shit, Felix” you said, crumbling in his arms, your arms coming around him as your forehead came to rest on top of his.
“Yeah? You like that?” he asked, as his hand slapped your ass, making you yelp and jump a little in surprise. He gripped your hips and helped you move even harder.
“Fuck! Yes!” you yelled.
You were sure his neighbors were filing a complaint to the police because of your screaming and how the bedpost was slamming against the wall in rhythm with your thrusts.
“Shit, your neighbors, they’re- they’re gonna…” you breathed out against his cheek, your words coming out in pants.
“Fuck the neighbors” he said with a groan as he moved his body, coming to lay on top of you. He really didn’t give one single fuck about what his neighbors could say or do. He had the girl of his dreams right in his arms, under him, and he was deep inside of her.
You laid wide eyed under him as you watched him move your legs to open them wide as he started thrusting furiously, so fast and hard that you couldn’t even moan out of how speechless the pleasure it made you. Your thighs were most probably red from the continuous slapping from his hips on yours, that created the most delicious and sinful sound in your ears, mixed with your shared moans and whines.
You felt the familiar coiling feeling inside of your stomach building up, about to crash over you. “Shit, I’m- I’m so fucking close, Lix” you gasped.
His eyes rolled to the back of his head at those three letters coming out of your mouth. His thumb came to rest over your clit and started rubbing circles over it, slowly, like the sweetest torture. “Then come all over me, come on” he encouraged you.
He bent his neck down and devoured your mouth with a kiss. You gripped his hair, pulling the strands with your fingers and it made his thrusts get sloppier by the second.
It was so satisfying to have found what made him weak.
“I want you to come with me. At the same time” you whispered against his lips before kissing him once again.
He started thrusting erratically, chasing his own orgasm. You clenched even tighter around him and pressed your nails on his back, raking them and marking him.
“Shit…” he whispered brokenly against your neck. “I’m gonna come, baby. Are you close?”
“Yes, yes, yes” you whispered, and then your back arched, the wave crashing over you, and coming all over his cock.
He moaned at the way you so tightly gripped him and with two thrusts, he filled the condom with his seed.
He laid on top of you after a few thrusts, completely spent. He tried not to apply too much pressure with his weight but you welcomed it, wrapping your arms and legs around him and cuddling him close with a content sigh.
“You’re something else” he hummed with a giggle.
“I know. You better get used to it” you challenged him, your walls fluttering around him.
He smirked against your neck and lifted it up, he smiled at you and pressed a long loving kiss on your lips. You smiled into it, your hands framing his beautiful face.
He pulled away from it, slowly, and nudged your nose with his. “I love you” he murmured.
You bit your lip and pressed a kiss to his cheek. “I love you, Lix”
You let out a loud laugh when you felt him giggle with a squeal as he dove right into your neck to contain the giddiness that washed over him whenever you called him Lix.
You felt so at home with Felix, like he was so familiar. Like you had been like this your whole life with him.
But life with him was just starting.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
The next day, you woke up surrounded by a warm embrace, a wonderful pair of loving arms that were tightly holding you.
Your eyes fluttered open and you craned your neck up, finding Felix snoring slightly, immersed in a peaceful slumber.
You couldn’t help but smile, feeling your cheeks getting pink as you remembered the things you had done before falling asleep. His hand was firmly holding your back and, when he stirred in his sleep, it started caressing your skin oh so softly, it made you want to squeal.
You felt so at peace at that moment, that you didn’t even want to move, afraid that if you were to utter a word, the moment would be long gone.
So you just sighed, nuzzling your cheek onto his naked chest, pressing a feather like kiss on his heart and resuming your sleep.
Everything was falling into place. Finally…
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
Monday rolled in and you arrived at the office, as early as always. You walked towards your desk and when you were about to leave your stuff, you saw a small bouquet of flowers. It was just as pretty as the first he had given you.
And how did he know they were from him? They were tulips. They were yellow and you just let out the tiniest squeal to yourself, pressing the bouquet to your chest.
His desk in front of yours was empty so you just chose to remain in the office until he came back so you could give him the proper thank you he deserved.
You walked towards the hall, making your way towards the break room so you could make yourself a cup of tea to relax when you heard an ongoing conversation from Bang Seojun’s office that was, unfortunately, right next to the break room’s door.
“These are dangerous times for men, Dr. Lee” Bang Seojun told Felix. “If we don’t team up, imbecile twats like Y/N Y/L/N will end up ruling this country with lipstick and feelings” he spat.
You frowned and made a disgusted face, shaking your head. But it was a typical Bang Seojun comment.
“I can tell you that I didn’t start this company to have my balls stepped on by some idiot in heels and a push up bra” he scoffed. You frowned even deeper. Could he be any more sexist? You did not think so. “You hear me?”
“Loud and clear” Felix said, and you could sense in his tone that he wasn’t happy with the comments at all.
“I have a vision for this company and I’m counting on you, Felix, to make it happen” he told Felix. “Do you even have a strategy? Do you have a plan like we talked about?”
“I have. It’s already in progress” Felix replied, like it was the easiest thing, with a slight chuckle falling out of his lips.
“I see you are pretty sure of yourself, God! This is exciting” Bang Seojun cackled evilly, you could practically picture him kicking his legs like a fucking toddler. “I told you if you eased up to her a bit, let her in, you’d weaken her and get that spot. You know that, women are easy to beat, after all we live in a man’s world”
Tell me about it, you thought to yourself.
“I’m glad you took my advice, Dr. Lee. Is there anything else I can do to help to clinch this?” he asked him.
“Nope, I don’t need help beating her”
Hold up, what?
“No, I’m sure you don’t” Bang Seojun chuckled. “Alright, go ahead then. I won’t take any more of your time”
You walked back to your desk and grabbed your stuff, purposely leaving the flowers there on the desk.
What was that about?
You tried desperately to convince yourself that Felix was just saying that to lick at his boots a little so he could get off his ass. But his tone wasn’t implying that. He sounded pretty genuine. Like he wanted you out of the way.
Did he really play with your feelings just to get that stupid job? Really? All those I love you’s whispered over the weekend, over and over. Were they just lies?
You didn’t know how to feel.
Because on one hand, you were incredibly disappointed. But on the other, you were so hurt and heartbroken.
He had managed to make you fall in love with him just so he could ‘earn your trust’ and ‘weaken’ you, just like fucking Bang Seojun had suggested to.
You felt so stupid, and so angry.
You quickly grabbed your phone as you headed out of the office and dialed the contact that you knew would help you out.
“Hey, can you meet me for breakfast at the coffee shop downstairs? It’s kind of an emergency” you said in a rush, feeling tears prickling at the corner of your eyes.

The next day, you stirred on the bed, feeling your bones cracking deliciously, making you sigh in delight.
You turned around and patted the space next to you, in hopes to find a sexy freckled australian man next to you… but the space was empty, sadly.
You frowned and sat up on your elbows. “Did he…?” you asked as your eyes flew all over the duvet. “Did he make his side of the bed?” you spoke to yourself. His side was tucked in neatly with the pillow placed perfectly on the bed. “What a freak” you sighed and tucked yourself in the bed once again, sighing as you comfortably found warmth again.
Felix came out of the shower, already dressed up with his dress pants, and chuckled when he saw you curled up in the sheets.
“Good morning” he cooed, sitting down next to you.
You opened your eyes and they immediately widened as you took in his shirtless state. “holy freaking hell, that’s one hell of a good morning” you exhaled, your fingers touching the bare skin.
He laughed at your comment and bent down to kiss your lips sweetly, holding your head with one of his hands.
You smiled against his lips and grabbed his shoulders, pulling him down on top of you.
You opened your mouth to let his tongue inside, curling yours around his. “Why don’t we have a little work out before the wedding, hm?” you asked in a sexy voice, biting your lip trying to coerce him into having sex with you.
He chuckled against your lips and pressed three quick kisses against your lips. “I’d love to, baby, but we’re gonna be running late. We already missed rehearsal dinner” he whispered. “Breakfast just arrived so if you wanna have some and then shower, go ahead. I’ll just finish dressing up”
“Oh no, please, you’re fine without a shirt on” you replied and he laughed, making your heart jump inside your chest.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
About an hour later, you went down to the reception, already dressed up for the wedding.
You walked towards the wedding reception and smiled at him, gripping his hand in yours. Then, your eyes fell to his tie and you sighed.
“Your tie is crooked” you pointed out.
He snorted. “Nope, I am not going to fall for that again, Cupcake” Felix shook his head.
You stopped and grabbed the lapels of his jacket. “Come here” you said, fixing the tie.
His eyes widened a little. “Oh, really?” he asked in a high pitched voice.
“Yeah” you chuckled.
“Thank you” he said with a smile.
“You’re welcome” you patted the tie and pressed a kiss to his cheek, your finger rubbing over the mark you left because of your lipstick.
“You fixed my tie with no strangulation, I think we’re really making some progress” he smirked at you.
You let out a giggle and grabbed the lapels of his jacket, pulling him a little closer. “Well, I need you alive considering all the things that I’m planning to do to you later, so…” you murmured against his lips before pressing a kiss to them.
Felix pulled back with a smile and let his eyes trail over your figure. “You look so beautiful in that dress” he said, his hands smoothing over your waist, with a gentle caress.
You smiled at him and as you were about to respond, a gasp cut you off.
“Oh God, Felix?” a woman came towards you two.
Felix gasped and opened his arms. “Mom!” he smiled and hugged her.
Your heart started beating so fast and you felt your hands getting sweaty. It’s time, you thought.
“I’m so glad you could make it, my darling” his mother cooed, framing his face in her hands.
“Mom, this is Y/N” Felix said, curling an arm around you.
“Oh hi, it’s so nice to meet you, Mrs Lee” you smiled, offering your hand.
His mom smiled and shook it, placing her free hand on top of yours. “Oh, I’m so happy to finally meet you, Y/N” she said gently.
“Thank you” you blushed.
“Ugh, she’s adorable, Felix” his mom said to his son, who simply chuckled and nodded. “I’m gonna keep you forever” she told you and you giggled, knowing that Felix had warned you she’d say that.
“Alright, shall we go?” Felix asked, his hand on your shoulder falling to your waist.
“Yes, we shall” His mother said and led the way outside, where the wedding was going to be held.
You immediately gasped as you took in your surroundings. This looked like the most surreal wedding venue ever, you mentally wrote down the things that you wanted for your future wedding.
“Wow, everything is so pretty” you said, you mouth almost hanging open.
His mother chuckled. “Yeah, you can thank me for the idea. But shh, don’t say that in front of Christopher, he insists on this being Sana’s idea” she laughed.
“Oh, consider my mouth shut then” you nodded, making the older woman winking.
You sat down on your seats. You were sat next to Felix, who had his mom next to him. His mother grabbed the hand of a man and your eyes kind of widened. That was his dad. Holy shit, you thought to yourself.
“I wasn’t sure you were going to make it” his father said, barely giving him a glance.
His mother caressed his arm. “Sweetie, this is Felix’s friend. Y/N” she introduced you to him.
“Hey!” you waved your hand at him.
He only gave a curt nod without even meeting your eyes. “Good afternoon” was all he mumbled and then looked away.
You pressed your lips together and he placed his hand on your knee, kind of reassuring you.
When Chris came in to stand at the altar, his eyes immediately searched for Felix. When he found him, he sent him a smile.
Felix reciprocated it, but you knew deep down that it wasn’t as honest as it was.
The flower girl came in and a few seconds later, the bride walked in, holding her father’s arm.
You gasped and looked at Felix. “Oh, wow. She looks stunning!” you said under your breath. “Good job, Chris”
Felix smiled at you and then looked back at the aisle. You frowned immediately. He didn’t look comfortable at all. In fact, he looked like he wanted to bolt out of there.
What the hell happened between Chris and him? You knew you wanted to dump him with questions about the issue, and as soon as you got him alone, you would.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
The wedding afterparty was slightly boring. You were left alone when Felix was dragged by his aunt, he had sent you an apologetic smile and you gave him a thumbs up, deciding that it was time to have some alcohol in your system.
You walked towards the champagne stand and grabbed one, thanking the waiter.
A woman came to stand next to you and grabbed a glass of champagne as well. “Oh God, Christopher’s family is driving me crazy” she exhaled, looking at you.
Your eyes widened. Sana.
She then scoffed and looked at her feet. “God these heels are like a medieval torture device” she sighed. “You wouldn’t happen to have a joint, do you?” Sana asked in a joking manner.
You decided to continue with it, giving her a roll of your eyes. “God, I wish”
“Meth? Rat poison? I’ll take anything” she laughed.
You sighed. “Sadly, I’m fresh out of rat poison” you said, shaking your head. “But congratulations”
“Thank you” Sana smiled at you and then eyed you. “Hey, you’re… Y/N, right?”
“yes” you nodded with a smile.
“I was dying to meet you, honestly” she said, giving you a radiant toothy smile. She was gorgeous. “Chris says you’re the only reason why Felix is here today”
You shook your head with a grimace. “Oh, no. That’s not true, I assure you” you said, sipping on your champagne.
“Oh, I’m sure it is” Sana nodded with a chuckle. “In the end it worked out the best way, didn’t it?”
What?
“I mean, Felix and I never worked out, we were so freaking different it was scary” she said and your eyes widened, choking on your champagne. “Oh, shit, you good?”
“I’m- I’m sorry, you were with Felix?” you asked her, your eyebrows arched you felt like they were touching your hairline.
Sana pulled her face back and looked shocked “Oh, my God. How come he didn’t tell you?” she asked you. She sighed and closed her eyes. “It wasn’t anything serious, I promise. It was only like- a year, and we really never connected at all”
“A year? You were together for a year?” you asked her, really not coming to your senses. “Like- one calendar year, 12 months? And then… you and Chris-”
“Oh, please. We worked out much better in every way, don’t worry” Sana said with a smile, placing a hand on your shoulder. “I mean, it was awkward at first but- I’m- I’m sorry” she sighed.
You looked away and found Felix’s eyes on you. He smiled at you and you didn’t return it. You couldn’t find it in yourself to do so.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. Truly” Sana apologised, putting her hand on her chest. “I should go and say inappropriate things to my other guests now” she chuckled sarcastically.
“No, it’s fine, Sana. Really” you tried to smile at her. “Congratulations on the wedding”
“Thank you” she exhaled and walked away, but not before sending you a reassuring smile.
You downed your champagne glass quickly and exhaled. You felt your eyes getting a little blurry with tears but being the woman you were, you pushed them back and tried to find the nearest exit to the balcony area, figuring it was for the best to find somewhere with fresh air.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
Felix found you outside, staring at the snowy weather, eyes fixated on the trees in front of you.
He had an idea of what you and Sana talked about and it made him want to die. He didn’t want you to find out at all because it literally meant nothing.
He stepped out and walked towards you. “Aren’t you cold?” he asked, his eyes scanning your face.
You didn’t even turn to look at him. “Nope, I’m good” you answered curtly.
“Listen, Y/N…”
“Is she the reason you brought me here, Felix Lee?” you asked him.
“No” he answered immediately, looking at you. “No, Y/N, it had nothing to do with her, I promise”
“Well, why didn’t you tell me?” you asked him, turning around to look at him.
He sighed and shrugged his shoulders. “I don’t know…” he mumbled. “I was embarrassed, I guess”
You frowned, “Why?” you asked in a quiet tone. “Hey, you did nothing wrong. They should be embarrassed, okay?”
Felix smiled at you and then he looked down to his feet, feeling shy. “You know… the weekend that I um… left med school and all, my dad took Chris fishing with two other surgeons. He said that I wasn’t invited because I would apparently feel ‘out of place’” he told you with a scoff. “My own father… always chose Chris first. Even if I’m his son, it was always Chris, his stepson, so…” he sighed, and sniffled a little, trying to push the tears away. “And then when Sana left me for him it was like my final undoing. And it hadn’t had anything to do with her, I- she and I never really clicked I guess, but… leaving me for him was the thing that hurt me. It was like the final notch”
You sighed and nodded. “I guess today must be shit for you, then, huh?” you chuckled humourlessly.
He shrugged. “It could be worse” he said and you smiled, noticing the tip of his nose was red, making him even cuter than he already was. “I could be here alone… and I’m not”
You smiled at him and pressed your lips together. “I think the situation calls for a drink, so let’s go” you said, curling your arm around his and going back inside.
Back inside, you and Felix were grabbing a glass of champagne for each other when his mother came walking towards you with Felix’s dad behind her.
“Oh hi! Where have the two of you been?” she smiled.
“Outside, getting some fresh air” Felix replied.
“Oh…”
His father eyed you and then spoke. “Y/N, when you first met Felix, what did you think of him?”
Your eyes widened and you pulled your face back. “Oh, um… I thought he was very handsome, you know, freckles and all really do something” you chuckled, making his mom laugh as well. “Cold, dominating, and frighteningly tense”
His mom chuckled but his dad didn’t budge. “I thought you needed to have ambition to be dominating” he snarkily commented.
His mother pushed his shoulder.
“What? I’m kidding” his dad said, but you knew that wasn’t the truth at all.
Felix sighed. “And I thought Y/N was very intelligent, but at the same time I thought she was incredibly kiss ass”
“Yeah, it was hate at first sight” you shrugged with a smile.
“Y/N, can I speak to you, for just a tiny second?” his mother asked you.
You looked up at Felix who gave you a reassuring smile. “Of course, miss. Lead the way?” you asked her with a gentle grin.
She led you outside of the room and handed you a glass of champagne that she caught along the way.
She then smiled at you and you could feel the clamorous feeling start to creep up on you.
“I’m so glad you’re here” she smiled at you, grabbing your free hand and holding it in hers. “Felix has been talking about you for months now”
You grimaced. “Oh my God, I cannot imagine what he had to say about me” you told her, imagining the worst. “I swear I am not that bad”
Mrs. Lee sucked on her teeth. “Um, he said that you drive him crazy and that you challenge him. And well- that you’re just as stubborn and strong willed as he is”
You gave her a smile. Those were nice things, you never expected Felix to talk like that about you.
“I thought… that when Sana left him and he took that job at Bang Editorials, it was rock bottom for him. But now I think that job might have been the best thing to ever happen to him” Mrs. Lee told you. You let out a little chuckle and felt your cheeks flushing. “And for what it’s worth, I’ve never seen him look at anyone the way he looks at you” she winked at you.
You opened your mouth to say something but all you could do was smile. Chris surprised his mom behind him and she smiled.
“Oh there he is, my beautiful newly wed!” Mrs Lee cooed and hugged her son. “Have you already lost your wife?”
“No, not yet. Thankfully” Chris chuckled, crossing his fingers. “She’s just hiding in the kitchen. Eating in peace… mom, you need to go back to the reception hall, I think drank a little too much”
Mrs Lee sighed and rolled her eyes. “Oh, here we go again” she shook her head.
You followed Mrs Lee and Chris over to the table where Mr Lee was and you found him with Felix, giving him some kind of sermon to his younger son.
“If you ask me, it’s a fucking waste” he spat at Felix. “You could’ve been one hell of a surgeon and you spend your days running errands and licking stamps so he can flirt with some intern”
You frowned at the mention of you. “Intern?” you spoke to yourself and Chris just gave you a shake of his head, like saying don’t mind him.
“Maybe you should take a walk, hon” Mrs Lee said, placing her hands on the shoulders of her husband,
Mr Lee scoffed and downed his whiskey glass, slamming it on the table once he finished it. “I don’t want to be a doctor, at least do something slightly noble, you know?” His dad angrily said.
You frowned. “I’m- I’m sorry, you don’t think publishing is noble?” you couldn’t help but ask him. “You know, contributing to culture?”
“I- I don’t think he’s making books, sweetheart” Mr Lee answered. “I think he’s making coffee for someone who’s making those books”
You looked at Felix who was just looking to his lap. He looked so embarrassed and ashamed of himself and you hated it.
Felix was fucking amazing, and damn this person who called himself his dad to make him feel like he wasn’t.
“And by the way? This is none of your business” he spat.
“Don’t talk to her like that” Felix spoke up, his voice deadly.
You scoffed. “Okay, well, since you don’t know shit about your own son, I’ll just- you know- let you know very quickly” you said angrily, matching his tone. “Felix over there, is the person that our sales and business report to, they’re scared shitless of him, no matter how many freckles he has or smile he sends. I’ve seen grown men running like ants, triple-checking their numbers because Felix always finds their mistakes”
“Y/N, you don’t have to-” Felix tried.
“No, let me, please. Because apparently he talks a lot about someone who clearly does not know a single thing about. And I’m sorry to all of you- well, no, except for you” you pointed at his dad and Felix closed his eyes with a sigh. “Oh and for the record, Felix’s boss is a sleazebag, despicable frog that can barely tie his own shoelaces. Felix runs that place… well, actually we both do. And the only reason why our company did not completely implode after the merger was because Felix oversaw a 35% reduction in the workforce and because of him, 200 people kept their jobs” you ran your mouth, the words spilling out like water. “And so, he’s not a doctor. Honestly, who the fuck cares about that? He’s smart. Your son is tough and has made me a lot much better at my job for having to compete with him. Don’t get me wrong, he drives me absolutely insane which apparently is hereditary- but your son is amazing” you sighed, frowning at Mr. Lee. “And the fact that you’re unable to see that is a real shame”
You looked around and saw that everyone was looking at you, making you bite your lip.
“Oh and in conclusion, congrats to the bride and groom. Chris, Sana, you guys are amazing” you said, blushing a little at the thought that all eyes were on you. “Felix, what do you think we hit home now?”
“Yeah” he chuckled at you, standing up from his chair.
“Mr. Lee, it’s been a treat… well, I guess. Mrs Lee, it was so nice to meet you” you told her and she winked at you.
Felix walked towards you and you curled your arm around his.
You took a look to his face but it was unreadable and you knew he was kind of mad at you for the scene you just caused.
He punched the elevator button and you sighed, as you both waited for it.
You gotta apologise, like, right now.
You stepped inside the elevator and gasped when you felt his hands on your waist, pushing you against the elevator.
His lips crashed on yours, as they swallowed your surprised little breath, but you were quick to grasp onto the strands of his black hair. You moaned and arched your back aaginst his.
Felix trailed his lips over to your neck and exhaled against your skin, making you shake in desire.
“The way you stood up for me back there” he mumbled and pulled away from you, looking at your eyes as he framed your face with his hands. “You don’t even know what it did to me, baby” he whispered before kissing you once again.
You giggled against his mouth and bit on his lip, tugging on it, earning a groan from him. “Why don’t you show it to me upstairs in our room, huh?” you asked.
Felix smirked. “You read my mind, baby girl”
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
Well, if you didn’t have a complain last night about the noise, you were sure that today was the day where you’d be getting it.
Your face was plastered against the bed, your chest laying flat on the duvet as Felix grabbed your hips and slammed you back on his length, continuously hitting that spot inside of you that made you scream.
The headboard slammed on the wall, making a very loud noise. Probably, hadn’t you been fucking, you would’ve cared about the paint on the wall that was going to be scrapped.
Felix groaned profusely as you clenched around him and he let his hand came to hit your ass in a simple smack.
You threw your head back, letting a loud moan out into the air. He made a makeshift ponytail with your hair in his hand and tugged on it, making your back hit his chest.
The sudden move made you gasp and your hands came to grasp the arm that curled around your waist. His hips continued moving, you’d dare to say even faster. How he managed to do that, you didn’t know.
“You drive me so fucking crazy, you know that?” he asked you, his voice husky and low that made your core quiver around his length.
You just moaned and then yelped when you felt him slap your cheek slightly.
“Fucking answer me”
“Yeah, I know” you smirked slightly and he chuckled evilly in your ear.
“Oh yeah? You knew that?” he asked in a groan, angling his hips to hit your spot even harder.
You whimpered and he gently let your body fall on the bed, melting on the sheets.
Felix pulled away from you gently, and with caring hands, he turned you around on your back. He caged you with his hands, placing one on each side of your head as he pressed his body on top of yours.
“You okay, baby?” he asked you.
“Yeah, just please” you whimpered, placing your hands on his waist and pulling him close to you.
He smiled and pressed a kiss to your lips. “Tell me, come on. Don’t be shy” he said, letting his length rub over your entrance, toying with you.
You let out a huff and kicked your legs. “Just get inside of me, Lix” you said, giving him doe eyes with a little pout.
The nickname was all he needed to give you what you wanted. He grabbed himself at the base and pushed it inside of you, making you moan as your toes curled. He whimpered against your neck and started moving his hips furiously once again.
You let him drown your moans by kissing you, and you wanted to make him as weak as he was making you, so you curled your fingers on his hair and tugged on it.
He let out a broken moan against your lips and his hips stuttered a little bit.
“Please tell me you’re close” he whispered against your lips as he kissed you once again.
You nodded and pulled away. “Fuck yes”
“Then, come baby” he urged, his fingers travelling to where he was thrusting and started rubbing over your clit. “Come on all over my cock, fucking drench it”
You moaned and after a few more thrusts, you completely exploded around him, coating his length with orgasm.
His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he felt your wetness coating him.
“Are you coming too baby?” you asked him, pulling him even closer to you so you could whisper in his ear. He only nodded with a little moan. “God, I wish you weren’t wearing that stupid condom”
You didn’t know where it was all coming from, all that dirty talk, but with the way he was wantonly moaning in your ear, made your ego boost to the sky.
“I wish you could come inside of me… fill me up, Lixie” you whispered in a whimper.
He thrusted two times harshly and came inside the condom, filling it up.
He groaned and his body literally melted on top of yours. You welcomed the weight happily, wrapping yourself completely around him.
You sighed and caressed his back with your palms. “What… the fuck was all that about?” he chuckled on your skin, his words drunkenly slurring.
“I don’t know, but you sure liked it. I made you bust like a teenage boy” you said, slapping his ass, making him giggle like a little kid.
“It sure did” he sighed and pressed a kiss to your lips when he pulled his face up to look at you.
Your eyes searched his and you felt a weird bubbling feeling in your chest.
Giddiness probably. But you could label it somehow with another word.

𝐒𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 - 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧
The road to Felix’s stepbrother’s wedding was very long.
During the car ride there, you tried to mentally prepare yourself that you were going to be sharing space with his family, friends and personal life. What if you encountered yourself with an ex girlfriend of his?
You blinked a couple of times to shake the bad feeling that the thought gave you.
You sighed and looked at him. “So… what do I need to know about your family?” you asked him, arching an eyebrow expectantly.
Felix smiled nervously as his hands fumbled a little with the steering wheel. “My mom’s great” he deadpanned. You arched an eyebrow and he could sense that the answer wasn’t enough for you. “She will love you and tell you that she wants to keep you forever, I’m sure so… don’t worry” he chuckled.
I wasn’t worried, you wanted to reply, but you knew that that would’ve been a lie.
You smiled at the thought of his mother liking you, though. You felt somehow comforted by that thought.
“My dad on the other hand…” he said and your heart started to beat faster. “He’s um… complicated” Felix finished. “Last time I was home, we had somewhat of a fight”
You eyed him. “What about?”
“A lot of things” he exhaled. “I left med school and he got real mad at me and well, I was dealing with my own shit as well. I was dealing with the fact that I disappointed my dad and my girlfriend had left me and he and Chris were being assholes about it”
You frowned a little. You weren’t going to lie that the fact that he mentioned an ex girlfriend made your brain short circuit a little bit.
You pressed your lips together and smacked them. “It’s so hard to imagine you with a girlfriend, to be honest. I always pictured you as the type to swipe right on tinder and then say the cliché: let’s not put a label on this, babe” you said, mocking his voice tone.
He chuckled. “Well, sometimes you’re wrong” he sighed, arching his eyebrows.
You looked away to the window and tried to swallow down the stupid jealousy that bloomed out of literally nowhere.
He was allowed to have ex girlfriends for fuck sake’s. Then, why the hell did it make you so jealous?
As far as you knew, you didn’t like him in the first place, right?
Right?
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You arrived at the little cabin complex that Chris had booked for the guests and you gasped as he parked the car and your eyes travelled all over the place.
“Wow, your stepbrother’s fucking rich!” you said, wide-eyed and in pure awe.
He chuckled as he stepped out of the car. “Nah, his girlfriend’s family is, though”
“Oh, makes sense” you whispered, getting out of the car yourself.
You looked up into the sky and smiled.
“It’s going to snow” you murmured.
He looked down at you and frowned. “How do you know that?” he asked, as he opened the door of the complex for you to go in first, chivalrously.
You scoffed as you walked inside the reception, shaking your head. “Because it’s a thing. I can smell weather” you said, like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
He chuckled. “That would make you the craziest X-Men of all time” he said to you and it made you shake your head with a smile.
“That was a ver nerdy comparison” you pointed out. You rang the little bell that was on the desk and the receptionist appeared.
“Hey, good evening guys!” a weird guy came walking towards the front desk. He had an eerie looking smile on his face and his eyes were weirdly blown out. “How can I help you?”
“Hey, man. Felix Lee. We have two rooms booked” Felix said, sliding his ID towards him.
The guy gasped. “Oh! The Lee’s, yeah, of course” he said. “Um, let me check” he sighed, typing away on his computer. He looked back at you and you knew that the face he was sporting you wasn’t one that carried good news.
“What is it?” you immediately asked.
“I am so sorry…” he trailed off and you could sense what this was about. “I only have one room available”
Great. Just great.
“Um, what’s your name?” you asked him.
“Jeffrey”
“Jef! Great”
“No, Jeffrey. My friends call me Jef, and well, we’re not friends” Jeffrey said, sternly.
You narrowed your eyes and nodded. “Yeah, okay. Jeffrey” you deadpanned. “We really need those two rooms that he booked because as you see- we’re- look- two people. That means two rooms” you rambled on and Felix just stared at you with an amused smile on his face.
“I know, miss, and I apologise, truly. I have two weddings this weekend” Jeffrey explained.
“I know, we're in one of them” Felix replied.
Jeffrey gasped. “Oh! You’re the couple? Congratulations, you look very good together” he cooed.
“Oh no!”
“No, no, no”
You both said loudly together, at the same time.
“It’s my brother’s- stepbrother’s wedding. That’s all we came for, alright?” Felix explained gently to the receptionist. “And we need that room-”
“Alright this is getting on my last fucking nerve. Jeffrey, please give us the key to the room and we’ll gladly take it” you said, sticking your hand out, palm facing upwards.
Jeffrey smiled and dropped the key in your hand.
“Thank you”
“Room 216, second floor” he explained to the both of you.
“Great, have a good day” you said and walked towards the elevator.
“You too!”
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You unlocked the door and gasped when you walked inside the room.
“Holy smokes, this place is amazing” you cooed.
You dropped your bag on the bed and saw the small couch next to it.
“You…” you said, pointing to it. “...will sleep there”
Felix chuckled and shook his head. “Nuh-uh, Cupcake. Don’t be ridiculous” he said, dropping his bags on the floor. He checked the hour on his phone and placed it on the nightstand. “Okay, we have… half an hour until rehearsal dinner. Do you want to try the shower first?” he asked you.
“Sure” you nodded and quickly grabbed some clothes before closing yourself inside the amazing bathroom that the room had.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
After you finished your shower, you let him try it as well.
You dressed up in a deep red dress and left your leather jacket to wear for later on the bed. You applied some make up, trying to be the most discreet with it.
A little mascara and red lipstick to combine with the dress wouldn’t hurt anyone.
After applying the mascara, you went to grab the lipstick. You heard the door of the bathroom opening and your eyes darted towards him through the mirror.
He came out from the bathroom wearing only a towel, his naked chest on full display.
You tried to keep your composure at bay but deep down, your heart started racing to a point that you were scared he was able to hear the noise.
You raised the lipstick to your lips, trying to shake the thoughts that were creeping in. He came towards you and grabbed your arm.
“Flamethrower?” he asked.
You blinked a couple of times, your gaze meeting his through the mirror. “I… like red” you said quietly and he chuckled.
“So do I”
And that was your undoing.
You turned around and grabbed his neck, pulling him down to your lips, kissing him fiercely. Felix’s breath hitched at the back of his throat but was quick to grab your waist and pull you closer to his naked body that was only covered with that towel he wrapped around his waist before leaving the bathroom.
You pulled away and exhaled against his lips. “This does not mean we’re okay” you whispered and kissed him again, your nails digging against his shoulder blades.
Felix smirked against your mouth and turned you around, walking you both towards the bed, his hands digging down towards your thighs. He pushed your dress up your body, and you helped him discard it, throwing it to the floor.
You stood in front of him in only a matching set of lacy black bra and panties. His eyes were blown wide with lust and his hands went to grab your ass, his fingers digging into the flesh as he greedily grabbed a handful of skin.
“You’re so fucking beautiful” he whispered before his mouth fell onto your lips and you moaned against his.
He bent down a little, placing his palms under your thighs and hoisted you up in his arms, picking you up so that your legs could wrap around his waist.
You chuckled against his lips and pulled away. “Deja vu, huh?”
“You read my mind” he smirked and placed you on the bed, laying you down and crawling on top of you.
His hands kind of had a mind of his own, he didn’t know what to do with them.
They crawled up your thighs, gripping your flesh, then up your stomach, caressing your soft skin. Up to your covered breasts, his hands enveloping them and squeezing them, drawing moans from you, against his lips.
He pulled away from your mouth and his fell to your neck, mouthing at the skin there on your neck. “Shit… you’re so soft” he moaned, his teeth digging and pulling.
Your back arched against his chest and your fingers carded through his hair, pulling on it and drawing a whimper from his lips.
You gasped and he pulled his face up, the pink in his cheeks made you chuckle. “Are you into hair-pulling, Felix Lee?” you asked him, breathily.
“Shut up” he murmured and devoured your mouth into a kiss once again.
You sighed into his mouth and then you felt his fingers creeping up under your back, and you arched it, knowing what he was about to do.
His fingers expertly unhooked your bra with one hand and you helped him take it away as he flung it behind him without a care.
His eyes zeroed on your breasts and his hands automatically flew to grasp them, squeezing them with fervour. “Fuck… look at these” he sighed. You moaned and dug your nails against his shoulders. “I so wanna fuck them…” he whispered through hooded eyes. “...but I’ll save that for some other time”
Some other time… interesting.
Felix didn’t let you have time to think because he dove into your chest and enveloped one of your tits in his mouth. His palm grabbed at it as he continued sucking on the nipple while your legs thrashed on the bed and your mouth continued dripping with moans.
“I’m fucking obsessed with these” he whispered, going to assault the other one with his mouth. “Everytime you came into the office wearing those little dresses with these pushed up in your little bras… my God, baby” he mumbled nonsense into your chest.
“Felix…” you sighed.
“What?”
“Please…” you whispered, giving him doe eyes.
“What do you want, baby, hm?” he asked, crawling up further and kissing your lips sweetly in one single peck. “You always go around throwing big girl words towards me and now… you’re all dumb” he chuckled, biting your lip and tugging on it.
“I…” you stammered and clenched your legs around his waist, that was still covered by that stupid towel.
“Yeah?”
“Go lower” you said, feeling your cheeks flushing in embarrassment.
He let out a chuckle and immediately lowered his mouth to your chest and trailed it down towards your stomach. His fingers hooked on the hem of your panties and oh so slowly he pulled them down your legs.
Felix threw the fabric on the floor and parted your legs with his hands. You saw him bite his lip and without a warning he dove his face right into your core, making you gasp and let out a high pitched moan.
You were sure the neighbors were aware of what you two were doing exactly.
His tongue dragged over your opening, practically drowning in the wetness seeping out of you.
You felt the vibrations from his own moans as he continued lapping at you like a starved man. His thumb played with your clit, rolling circles tightly around the nub. You pulled on his hair and he moaned loudly against your clit, his tongue curling inside of you.
“Fuck, Lix… fuck–” you sobbed and his fingers pressed even tighter against your thigh.
That new nickname you have him did numbers inside his brain, you probably didn’t realise what you said.
He dragged his tongue over your hole and over your clit in one simple go and that was your undoing.
“Shit, I’m coming” you yelled and a few seconds later you came on his tongue.
Felix happily lapped at your orgasm, happily humming against your core. He pressed one last kiss to your pubic bone and stood up from the bed.
You laid there, gasping for air, trying to regain your breath. You looked up at him and saw him standing in front of you.
With a little groan, you sat up on your elbows and closed your legs, which you realised had remained open to his eyes.
He dug a finger on the tie of the towel and let it pool on his feet. You couldn’t help but gasp a little at the sight of him , naked in front of you in all his glory.
He took his hand down, stroking his own erection, his thumb swiping over his drooling tip.
“Can I suck you off?” you asked him, biting your lip and puffing your chest out to stick out your tits.
He groaned and you saw his hand jerking himself off faster. “No, baby. As soon as that mouth of yours touches me, I’m done for. I need to be inside of you” he explained breathily to you around a groan.
You smiled at him and grabbed his shoulders pulling him towards you and on top of you.
Felix sighed when he felt the tip probing at your entrance and then smacked his hand on the duvet, making you jump.
“Motherfucker” he groaned.
“What? What’s going on?” you aksed, confused.
“I don’t have condoms” Felix replied angrily. Mostly at himself.
“You’re telling me you brought me here without packing condoms, are you kidding me?” you snorted.
He glared at you. “Now’s not the time, Y/N” he said.
“Wait, isn’t this complex one for married couples? I’m sure there’s gotta be a pack here somewhere” you told him.
His eyes widened and he seemed to realise that you were probably right. He let you move, turning around on your stomach and opened the drawer from the nightstand next to the bed. As you were searching it, you felt Felix grab at your ass and let his hand slap your cheek softly.
“What are you doing?” you giggled.
“Oh, nothing. Just having fun” he acted nonchalant about it.
You gasped once you found a little pack there. “Found it! And they’re not expired” you said, handing it to him.
“Great” he mumbled, grabbing it quickly and ripping one of the packets. He quickly rolled it on his cock and went back to position himself above you. “You ready, baby?”
You bit your lip at the word baby coming from him. He had called you that before and you weren’t going to lie, because your heart tripled its size.
You nodded shyly. “Yeah” you whispered.
You grabbed onto his shoulders as he pressed his cockhead against your entrance and slowly pushed it until he was buried inside. He bottomed out and he groaned, letting his forehead drop against your shoulder. You moaned loudly, clenching around him.
“Oh shit, fuck, baby you’re so fucking tight” he cursed against your skin.
“Felix, move!” you whined, thrashing your legs around on the bed.
He grabbed your waist. “No, wait. Stay fucking still” he said, looking into your eyes. “You’re squeezing me so fucking tight I’m barely holding it together”
“Well, it’s not my fault you’re so fucking big” you gasped.
“Are we seriously arguing right now? With me literally inside of you?” he frowned, still out of breath.
You rolled your eyes. “Please fucking move!”
He made you gasp as he thrusted harshly against your g-spot and he started hammering it with fervour as he moved his hips furiously. You moaned, throwing your head back while your hands were busy with his back, raking nails over his skin. You were sure you were going to leave a mark.
You squealed when he grabbed your legs and pushed them up to rest on your chest, finding a deeper angle to hit the sweet spot inside of you.
“Shit, baby, you’re so wet” he chuckled as he saw your pussy sputtering out wetness that splashed against his thighs. “Do I make you this wet?”
His fingers circled your clit and you arched your back violently. “God- f-fuck” you groaned, pressing your head against the pillow as he continued to thrust inside of you rapidly.
Felix frowned and smacked your clit, making you yelp. “Answer me”
“Y-yes, you make me so fucking wet, Felix” you cried out.
Felix smirked and bent his body so that his chest was touching yours. “Good fucking girl” he whispered before he devoured your mouth into a fiery kiss, practically fucking it with his tongue while he fucked your pussy at the same time.
“I’m- Lix” you moaned and he mirrored your moan.
“Fuck, say that again” he whispered against your mouth. “Come on, say it” he said, trailing his hand towards your center.
He started rubbing tight circles against your clit again and you gasped, your fingers carding through his hair and gripping it. “Lix… I’m gonna come, baby” you whimpered and then kissed him, drowning his moans of pleasure.
Felix started slamming his hips even faster and harder against yours, you were sure the slapping sound could be heard through the entire complex. “Please, come around me” he begged.
The sound of his begging was enough for you to make you fall apart on his length, coating him completely.
He thrusted harshly and sloppily a couple of times and he was quick to follow your orgasm, filling you up completely. With a content sigh, he gently and carefully let his body drop against his as you both gasped out for air.
“That was…” you exhaled.
“Fucking amazing” he finished for you.
You chuckled and nodded. “yeah, I agree” you said and he smiled against your skin.
He pushed his face up and his eyes searched yours.
Felix couldn’t let his feelings show, he couldn’t let you know, but he was feeling on top of the world. It had never felt like this. And he knew that once he had you once, he would never get enough of you. And he was absolutely right.
He was completely enamoured.
He pressed a gentle kiss to your lips, which you reciprocated, feeling your toes curling at the loving gesture.
With a groan, he pulled away from you and laid next to you, caressing your arm and back. “You feel okay? I didn’t hurt you or go too far?” he asked with a worried tone.
You chuckled and placed your hand on his cheek, pressing a kiss to his nose. “No, it was perfect”
He smiled at you and brought you even closer to his warm body.
You eyed the clock on the wall behind him and gasped, sitting up.
“What is it?” he asked, worried, sitting up as well.
“We’re gonna be so fucking late for rehearsal dinner” you said, covering your mouth with your palm.
He chuckled and grabbed your shoulder, pulling you down. “Stay here” he said and you hesitantly obeyed.
You sighed. “But what will your parents think? ‘Oh, hi! Mr and Mrs Lee. I am so sorry that we missed your son’s rehearsal dinner. We were too busy fucking each other to even realise what time it was’” you said with sarcasm.
He laughed and shook his head. “I promise you, nobody will care” he replied. “I can just text them a message saying that we got stuck in traffic or some shit like that and we’ll see them tomorrow at the wedding” Felix told you.
“Yeah, but what if they find out we already checked in?” you asked him, pushing a curl out of his forehead.
He frowned. “Why do you care so much about what my parents think?” he asked you.
“Well, I’m a people-pleaser” you answered like it was the most obvious thing. “I meet people and my brain just- poof, the thought of pleasing them just appears magically”
“Yeah, but why?”
You blinked. “I just told you the entire logic of it, hon. Okay, but wait, why wouldn’t you want to please them? They’re your parents after all” you asked him.
Felix just sighed. “I don’t know. I learned a long time ago that that’s it’s impossible” he said with a tight lipped smile.
You hummed. “Okay, sore subject I see. Let’s just move on” you chuckled. “I’ll ask you another question and then you’ll ask me something and then-”
“Okay, I understood, Cupcake. Shoot” he laughed.
“Mmhh…” you hummed in thought. “The other day, when you caught me snooping around your desk… um, I saw your planner…”
He faked a gasp. “So you admit you were indeed snooping around at my desk”
“Okay, um, don’t deflect!” you said, pushing his shoulder a little. “Well… um, I kind of saw these red marks on the margins” you told him. “Some crosses, dots, lines. What are those?”
You saw Felix’s eyes widening a little and he looked away from you.
With a gasp, you sat up a little and hovered your face over his. “What? No! Tell me! Come on!”
He smiled at you and chuckled. “Alright, fine” he sighed. “A cross means we had a fight, the line means I made you upset… and the dot… the dot’s for when I want to kiss you”
You pulled your face back in shock and your eyes stupidly blinked quickly. “Wow” it’s all you could whisper.
Felix just continued grinning at you, caressing your hair.
“You’re like an OCD stalker” you replied and he laughed out loud.
“Okay, it's my turn now” he said.
“Alright, shoot” you said, mimicking him from earlier.
“Tell me about your family. I feel like I’ve told you everything from me and I haven’t heard almost anything from you” he told you.
“Okay…” you nodded and laid back down on the bed, facing him. “My mom’s the best” you said and he chuckled at that. “She raised me… almost on her own. Because my dad was kind of an asshole and left us when I was about seven years old”
He smiled gently and caressed your arm. “I’m sorry” he said.
“Oh, don’t worry. I barely remember him thankfully. And we were never really struggling because of it. My mom a couple of years ago found herself a boyfriend- well, now husband and they love each other. A lot. He’s english, so she’s kind of living over there every once in a while” you told him.
“Well, but she’s happy, I reckon?” he asked.
“yeah, very” you replied. “Now, tell me why is Chris your stepbrother? I felt like I’ve been wanting to ask you that forever!”
He chuckled and shook his head. “It’s not that interesting of a story, to be honest” Felix replied.
“Tell me!”
“Okay! Okay” he giggled. “So… My mom was married to this guy whose last name was Bang. They had a kid: Chris, and when he was about a year old, his dad passed away. I never knew what it was exactly but I think he got sick at some point” Felix said. “My mom then met my dad, and had me. Chris got to keep his last name, my mom wanted that”
“That’s such a sad story. But I’m guessing Chris has no memory of his dad so he isn’t sad” you replied, chewing on your lip.
“No, Chris has no memory of his dad at all… but my mom…” he trailed off.
“Oh no…”
“Yeah” you sighed. “I’m guessing… I mean- I’ve always had some kind of hunch that she never got over it”
“Oh Lix” you replied, caressing his cheek.
Felix suddenly smiled. “I love that nickname” he said with a giggle.
“We were having an emotional moment, Felix Lee”
He rolled his eyes. “Okay, now it’s my turn. Right?”
“Okay, go ahead” you sighed, pretending to be annoyed.
“Tell me something I don’t know” he said out of a sudden. “I already exposed myself with the things I write down on my planner”
“Okay… um…” you said and your eyes widened when you remembered that. “So, when I wore that little black dress to work the other day, well… I lied about having a date with Wooyoung, I asked him later that day” you said, and then pressed your lips together to contain your laugh.
Felix opened his mouth in surprise and chuckled.
“What? You were being presumptuous and skeptical. I panicked, alright?” you laughed. “And… and well, I had a very sexy erotic dream about you”
He gasped and sat up. “I knew it!”
“You did?”
“Yeah, it was written all over your face. Literally your forehead said: I had a sex dream about my co-worker” he laughed.
“no it didn’t! I did not look like- okay, I probably did” you sighed in defeat. “I literally did that because I panicked and I didn’t want you to think I was a loser… you know, you said you were going to the bar too and I didn’t want you to find me alone there… it would’ve been pathetic”
“Well, you wouldn’t have been alone. I would’ve gone with you” he said softly, his knuckles caressing the apple of your cheek.
He bent forward and pressed a loving kiss on your forehead. He pulled away and nudged your nose with his with a little smile.
Your heart was beating so fast at the way he was looking at you. So sincere, like he had a lot of love for you.
Love.
He looked like he was in love with you.
You just grabbed his cheeks and pressed a kiss to his lips, trying to show him that you felt the same.

𝐒𝐈𝐗 - 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬
Felix Lee knew he was a very hard person to deal with. He had always been told the same thing so it got to a point that he just owned the title. His father, from a very young age, had said so. His mother, whom he had been the closest to since the start, knew it as well even if she didn’t ever say it.
He knew his father had always had some favoritism over Chris, while his mom had an inkling towards Felix.
But as the cliché of the male son, he always had the desire to impress his father. One way or another. Even if pursuing something he did not want was the way to reach his father’s level of content, he’d do it right away.
So, as he knew his father and the father of his father and so on, had all been surgeons, he pursued exactly that. Well, it wasn’t like he had a choice either way.
He started med school with one thing in mind: impress my father. But it all went down the hill the moment he stepped into that morgue ward and puked all over a dead man.
Felix couldn’t stop the feeling he had at the pit of his stomach, the way he was immediately repulsed by the poor dead man lying on the examining table. The smell reached his nostrils and it just came out of him before he could stop it. As he coated the man with the liquid, Felix stood wide eyed, completely terrified by what his father’s reaction could be.
His father was horrified. Utterly and completely. To say the least.
But Felix knew what it was in reality. It was the frustration that he had never been like Christopher.
Chris had always been a straight A student. Never had a bad grade at a test and he had graduated high school with a different diploma than the rest of his school mates.
Felix was expected to do the same, but it was never in his blood to be the same exact copy of his brother. He didn’t want to compete with him just to please his father’s expectations. The late realisation that it was straight up pointless to please someone who had never been pleased with him. Ever.
When he left med school, he came face to face with the exact thing he had pictured and his biggest fear growing up. His father’s rejection. But at the same time, it felt like a big weight had fallen off of his shoulders.
Instead, he chose to pursue something he liked a little more. The book business. Books had always been his passion, he had found to love books at a very young age, he had found a home in them.
He discovered his town’s public library at the age of six and he liked to spend almost every afternoon there. At home, all he could find were med books, and those weren’t interesting enough as the fantasy stories he liked to read at the library. If he wanted to read about intestines or organs, he would’ve preferred a horror book in which there was a serial killer out for blood.
He still could keep contact with his mother, who was very happy for him, knowing he was pursuing what he really wanted.
His father hadn’t bothered to contact him at all. He didn’t know if his mother told him how he was doing or if he even asked her.
With Chris, he tried to keep the relationship alive, but things happened in the middle that made it very difficult. But that was a story for another time. Chris always kept him updated about how his family was doing but that was all they talked about.
He saw an advertisement for a position in Bang Seojun’s company and he immediately clicked on it, knowing that it was a big editorial and it was good money for his pocket.
Bang Seojun fell in love almost instantly with him.
Not only was Felix pretty charming for his own good, but he was pretty damn awesome at his job. He knew books like nobody else did and he knew business as well. He had a hunting eye for it.
When Bang Seojun had told him that they were going to merge with Kim Publishing due to that company’s bankruptcy status, he felt a little weird.
He knew that the merger meant sharing things with people he didn’t know and having to start almost from zero.
The day of the merger, he prepared himself to be the coldest he could to anyone from Kim Publishing. He knew that they weren’t happy either with the merger, so he stood his ground.
Bang Seojun had told him he was going to be sharing an office with a girl named Y/N Y/L/N, and he immediately felt his skin crawling. Sharing office? No way! He liked to have his own space for God’s sake!
Also, that morning, out of all days, his father called. For the first time since he had left med school. Well, it wasn’t that his father called, his mother did.
She called using the excuse: “We wanted to know how you’ve been”. But he knew that she had only meant herself, and his father was not included.
He walked into the new workplace, Kim Publishing building and went straight into the meeting. Bang Seojun had made indications to where he was going to work and he almost felt like dragging his feet over the floor and pouting like a little kid.
That day, he took the elevator to his designated office and sighed as he saw that there was a girl inside already.
She sensed him walking towards the office and she got out, blocking the door with her presence and holding a pink box with cupcakes.
He felt like dying right then and there.
You were so beautiful.
So beautiful it hurt his eyes.
You were holding the most genuine and prettiest smile he had ever seen with the faintest blush on your cheeks. You were wearing a pretty blue sundress that had white small flowers littered over it. Your hair was mid updo and there were a few strands of hair that framed your face.
To say that you were breathtaking, was an understatement.
But he remembered quickly that he wasn’t here to make friends, nor date anyone.
He knew how that had ended up the last time.
Hard pass.
So, he chose to be an asshole.
He barely glanced at you, grabbed the box and went straight into the office.
He knew he had fucked up that day. He didn’t have to do much math to figure that out.
The way you threw passive aggressive comments at him all day, every day, how you barely glanced at him. How everyone smiled at you and you smiled back at them, but not him.
He made his bed that day, and he had to lie in it.

The day after he had basically rejected you, you found him in the break room making himself some tea.
He glanced at you and then quickly looked away to his cup.
“Good morning” he told you with a certain tone in his voice, like hopeful.
“Good morning” you said, not even sparing him a single glance. Your tone was flat unlike his.
He then looked at you as you made yourself some tea. “How did you uh… how did you sleep?” he asked, chewing on his lip nervously.
You sighed. “Not great” you said, pouring water on your tea cup.
“You want some?” he asked you.
“Huh? What? Now you- oh, donut?” you angrily said as you turned around and then your frown fell when you saw him holding a donut towards you. “No, thank you. I already ate” you murmured.
Bang Seojun barged into the break room, as he always did, wearing an enthusiastic smile.
Oh-oh.
“Hey, Dr. Lee, I have someone that I want to present to you at my office. It’s from Harvard, I think it’ll help you with your presentation for the job” he said, and you could swear if he had been at least thirty years younger, he would’ve been jumping on his heels.
Fuck.
Felix glanced at you and then back at Bang Seojun. “Oh, yeah. That’s- that’s great” he said.
Bang Seojun took Felix by surprise when he slapped his hand on his back. “Be a little more enthusiastic about this, boy. This will be your- oh, hey Y/N” he said when he finally noticed you.
You scoffed a little. “Hey, Mr. Bang” you said, while sipping on your tea.
“Great, so, come with me, please” Bang Seojun said, grabbing Felix by the arm, practically and dragging him away.
You saw him glance at you one last time as he left and you quickly took out your phone, sending an SOS message to someone you knew pretty well and that could help you.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
“Okay, so I really need to rock this fucking presentation” you said, as you walked next to him in the street. “I’m thinking I could pay you $300 for the graphics, I- I know that’s not much” you grimaced.
“Sure, I’ll consider that an investment in the future of our… employment relationship” Wooyoung replied with a little smile.
You chuckled. “Great”
Wooyoung inspected your side profile and let out a nervous chuckle. “Hey, so um… just to be- you know- totally clear and all, there’s no chance for anything- like- between us, right?” he stammered.
You pressed your lips together and gave him a look that said more than a hundred words could.
“Got it” he nodded with a sad smile. “Say no more”
“I’m sorry, Woo. Really” you apologised. “You’re amazing, though. I know it won’t take long before you’re snatched off the market”
He chuckled. “Well, it’s your loss. I’m really cool as you say” Wooyoung said, making you laugh. “So, what’s going on with you know who?” he asked. “Still at each other’s throats or have you finally confessed that you’re pathetically in it for each other?”
You scoffed. “I am not pathetically in it for him!” you whined and he gave you a look, arching his eyebrows. “But yeah, we’re still mortal enemies, if that’s what you’re asking”
“What a waste” Wooyoung sighed. “Everyone knows you have it bad for him, Y/N”
“I do not” you rolled your eyes.
“Hey, don’t get me wrong, I think you’re really cool and everything but you gotta admit that you do feel something for him. I mean, I thought you guys were having an affair at this point” Wooyoung explained, putting his hands up in defense.
“Nope, we aren’t having anything, thankfully” you replied with your eyes widened.
Wooyoung sighed and looked at your face. “Y/N, come on” he said quietly. “It’s just me you’re talking to, okay? You don’t have to pretend nor do you need to feel like you have to protect me from the truth just because I have a thing for you, right?”
You hummed and nodded.
“Do you have a thing for him?”

The next day, it was Saturday. Long awaited Saturday.
It was also nearing Christmas, and you knew what that meant. Spending the whole morning decorating the tree while singing along to Christmas tunes.
When you almost finished decorating, your phone rang and you felt your heart start to beat faster.
You didn’t know exactly why, but you quickly rushed to where your phone was at, sitting at the table. You grabbed it and with timid eyes you looked at the ID of the caller.
Mom.
Oh…
You frowned and shook your head.
Why were you expecting him and why were you disappointed that it wasn’t him?
You shouldn’t feel anything like that because you didn’t feel anything for him.
You didn’t feel anything for him.
You. didn’t. feel. anything. for. him.
ANYTHING!-
You accepted the call, pushing the thought of Felix away, and pressed the phone up to your ear.
“Hey mom, how’s that London trip going on?” you asked her with a tired tone.
“Hey sweetheart, oh London was great. We’re actually in Barcelona now for the weekend” she told you, making your eyes widen.
“Oh? Really? That’s so cool, I bet it’s beautiful over there” you said, putting the call on speaker mode as you continued decorating the Christmas tree.
“It is, honey. I can’t believe I’ve never been here before. The city is so beautiful” your mom chuckled. “But tell me, how’s it going with you and that guy from work?”
Your heart stopped beating for a second.
“Felix?”
“No, baby. Wooyoung. You told me you were going out with him the other day” your mother told you confusedly.
Right… because I did tell her that.
“Oh… right, um. Yeah, no, I ain’t going out with him anymore, that’s for sure” you said as you finished tying a ribbon around a branch with a sarcastic laugh.
You heard your mother gasp from the other side of the line. “What? Oh honey, I’m so sorry” she cooed.
“No, it’s fine. We didn’t even stick with glue if we tried, so that’s okay. We remained friends, so there’s that” you told her.
“If you let me be honest with you, when you told me, you didn’t seem that excited about it” your mom replied.
You sighed. “Yeah, cause I wasn’t” you said quietly. “I think Woo’s great but… I don’t know, I just don’t like him like that”
“Not like you like Felix, right?” she said and you could hear the smirk in her voice.
You scoffed. “Could you stop that?” you groaned. “I don’t like him, I hate him. You know that already”
“Yeah, yeah, honey. Whatever you say” she laughed.
“You’re being mean, I’m three seconds away from hanging up” you threatened.
“Okay, baby” your mom chuckled. “Well, I hear you’re doing well then?”
“Yeah, I am okay” you replied. “I expect a big gift for Christmas though”
“Okay, no I am the one who’s three seconds away from hanging up-”
DING DONG.
You jumped almost five feet apart from where you were when you heard the doorbell ringing.
“Who’s that?” your mother asked.
“No idea, mom. But I’ll call you later okay?” you said, and she could hear the uneasiness in your voice.
“All right… call me if you need anything, please” your mother said.
“Will do, love you”
“Love you!”
You ran towards the door and then the doorbell rang again.
“I’m coming… jeez” you whispered that last part to yourself.
You peeped through the peephole and your heart sank to your ass.
No… what is he doing here??
You opened the door with a frown. “Felix?”
“Hey…” he sighed, looking at you up and down.
You suddenly felt self-conscious about what you were wearing. You had a white pajama top… with no bra on and a pair of tight leggings.
If Felix had to admit to himself, you looked hot as fuck, he had to clench his fists at the sides of his body. But he wasn’t going to say that out loud.
“What are you doing here?” you asked him with an irritated sigh, crossing your arms over your chest to cover up a little from his intimidating gaze.
“I came to get you. To pick you up” Felix said.
Hold up, what?
“Huh?” you said in a high pitched voice.
Felix chuckled. “For my brother’s wedding?” he said slowly.
You let out a surprised laugh and shook your head. “You really have no shame, do you?” you said angrily. “Not likely”
“Okay, I’m sorry about the other night, all right?” Felix said, and he seemed honest about it. “You caught me off guard”
“Caught you off guard? We were just about to-” you let out a sigh and chuckled ironically. “This thing is just too complicated, Felix” you shook your head, putting your hands together in a pleading manner. “We’re competing for the same job, you may not have realised that. We turned mutual sabotage into an art, so it’s impossible to trust each other”
Felix sighed. “Y/N-”
“And also-” you interrupted him by placing your hand up. “-you’re like the actual representation of Katy Perry’s Hot N Cold. You’re hot, then you’re cold. Yes then no. I should call her and ask her if she wrote it about you, hell, she’d probably say yes. Could you please figure out what you want?”
Felix pressed his lips together, feeling the laughter bubbling up his throat. You frowned at him.
“Don’t laugh!”
“Okay! I’m- I’m gonna be honest. I can’t go alone” he replied, putting his hands up in the air. “And they’re expecting you to come with me”
You scoffed.
“And don’t forget-” he said and pointed at your place. “You owe me for all of this, remember?”
You narrowed your eyes and he smirked.
“I’ll wait for you in the car” he said with a smug smile and then walked away, back into his car, shutting the door behind him.
You placed your hands on your face and screamed, drowning the noise against your skin. You were going to spend an entire weekend with your sworn enemy and you were excited about it at the same time.
You had to make up your mind about what you wanted in the end because your brain was absolutely fried at this point.

𝐅𝐈𝐕𝐄 - 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬
That night, you put on a dress and heels. You did your makeup nicely and smiled at yourself in the mirror.
You did remember when was the last time you had dressed up for someone. It was a week ago. For him.
For Felix.
The worst part was that you had dressed up for revenge, but for revenge from what exactly? Was it revenge, really? Or was it just a made up lie inside your head?
It probably was, knowing for a fact that you came to face the reality that you did like-
Hold up.
No, that’s not it.
It couldn’t be. Right?
You jumped up in your place when you heard your phone ringing loudly on the bed.
Your heartbeat quickened as you ran towards it, grabbing it and clicking on the button to accept the call.
“Hello?” you said slightly out of breath.
“Hey, Y/N, I’m outside”
Wooyoung. Because of course. He was the one taking you out on the date.
“Oh… right. I’ll be right out, Woo. Just give me a second” you told him, trying to fake the niceness of your tone.
“Great, see you!”
You hung up and placed your phone inside your purse. You gave one last look to yourself in the mirror and inhaled deeply. When you exhaled, you squared up your shoulders and reassured yourself that everything would work out in the end.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
Wooyoung had taken you out to a restaurant located on the rooftop of a building in the center of Seoul. He had really outdone himself and you felt incredibly bad knowing you weren’t on the same page as he was, but you did your best to make him believe you were.
“The view here is so amazing, Woo. Wow” you told him, curling your spaghetti on your fork. “It’s very romantic, may I say”
“Not just romantic. Historical” he said with a smirk. “This building belongs to the city and it has a view of the river where a couple of centuries ago, the emperors would throw the bodies of their enemies in” he wiggled his eyebrows.
Yikes, you thought as you downed your wine.
“They count like 12 thousand bodies at least, which is crazy if you ask me, but I know that a lot of them were- like- eaten by fish or some sort of shit like that” he continued and you just stopped paying attention to him. “Just picture it and tell me if it isn’t fucking crazy”
“No, I am picturing it” you said with a fake smile, “So… anyway, how is work going for you?”
“Everything’s going well” he nodded. “...I guess”
“Why do you say that?” you asked him, with a frown.
“Well, Bang Seojun is very demanding with editing” he confessed with a tired sigh, placing his forehead on his palm as he looked up at you through his eyelashes. “I just can't seem to meet his standards, but if you know… you get that promotion-”
“I will definitely free you from your misery, don’t you worry” you promised and he let out a little grateful smile.
“Um… hey! I brought you something” he said, remembering something and then digging his hand inside his pocket.
“Oh, Woo, that’s so thoughtful. Thank… you” you trailed off when you saw he was holding a card.
Jung Wooyoung - Graphic Designer, and it had a phone number with an email on it.
“A business card?” you asked with a disappointed tone that he did not catch.
“For all your graphic design needs, especially if you want to win that position, I can definitely help you” he winked at you.
You left the card by the table and sighed. “Have you… have you ever thought about kissing me?” you asked him.
Wooyoung’s eyes widened and he pulled his face back. “Well, uh… since the very first time I met you, if I’m going to be honest. You spilled coffee on my lap at my first team meeting and… I guess I just always knew I wanted to kiss you” he said, feeling his cheeks blushing.
You then leaned over the table, grabbed his shirt and kissed the breath right out of him. His breath hitched at the back of his throat and then you pulled away with a frown.
Nothing. Fucking nothing.
Why isn’t this working?
You pulled him back into a kiss, trying to give every ounce of passion you had in yourself. This time, Wooyoung had time to kiss back, but still.
No fluttering in your stomach.
No feeling of your toes curling.
No brain mushing.
No nothing.
Empty.
You pulled back and sat your ass back down on your chair while he chuckled and brushed his thumb over his bottom lip.
“Wow…”
“Yeah…” you sighed.
“That was…” Wooyoung smiled at you.
A mistake.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You didn’t know why you were here. You didn’t know what exactly you could come across or what would he say if he saw you there.
But there you were.
Standing outside his house, your eyes travelling all over the door and windows, in hopes of catching a glimpse of him.
You grabbed your phone with an irritated sigh and clicked on his contact.
You went to type in a message:
You: are you home?
But as soon as you finished typing the text, you deleted it.
Then, you tried again.
You: hey, so I kissed him and you were right-
You quickly pressed on the delete button with an irritated sigh.
God, what were you even doing?
This was embarrassing. You placed your phone back inside your purse and bit your lip, debating what to do.
Should I knock? Should I call him?
Your heart started pounding nervously at the possible outcomes of your actions that you pictured inside your head.
What if he laughs at you and rejects you? What if he kisses you? What if he tells you it was all a joke and you fell for it and-
“Do you think he’s home?” a familiar low voice said from beside you and you jumped with a yelp.
Next to you, stood Felix with a humored smile.
“What?” he asked you, nudging his chin upwards. “Are you stalking me now, Cupcake?” he asked you with a little chuckle.
“Yeah, I just snooped around through your trash, actually” you said, wiggling your eyebrows.
“Really?” he asked you back and you hummed, nodding your head. “And did you find anything interesting?”
You hummed in a thinking manner, continuing the game. “Nah, the usual stuff: leftovers, tissues… geriatric diapers. Exactly what I imagined from you”
Felix laughed, showing his teeth and his eyes coming crescent shaped.
It made your heart double its size. “You should always laugh” you said almost immediately.
“Then, you should always be funny” he replied. You just smiled, feeling your cheeks flush and you looked down at your feet, getting a little shy. “So… how was your date?” Felix asked you. “Did he roll over the last meatball at you with his nose? No- wait, don’t tell me. You did that thing from Lady and the Tramp where you both- you know, with the spaghetti-”
“No…” you scoffed, rolling your eyes.
His eyes inspected your face, trying to see the signs. “Did you kiss him?”
“I did” you replied.
“And?” he asked, clenching his hands at his sides.
You chewed on your lip and exhaled deeply. “And… I am not going out with him anymore” you said slowly.
He smiled and stepped closer to you.
You let him.
“Because?” he asked huskily.
You pressed your lips together and sighed. “Because… nobody kisses me like you do” you answered truthfully.
Felix smiled and slowly he bent down a little, grasping your thighs and hoisting you up in his arms. You gasped and quickly grabbed his shoulders, wide-eyed. He let you curl your legs around his middle as his hands stayed on the back of your thighs, gripping them softly.
He bent forward and pressed your lips on yours, taking you by surprise once again. You made a noise against his lips, something in between a moan and a groan.
Felix nipped at your lip and pulled away. “You can’t” he exhaled.
You frowned. “What?”
“You can’t make those noises… and expect me not want to just do everything to you, Y/N” he sighed, kissing you once again, his tongue separating your lips as he dove it right into your mouth. You sucked on it while your fingers gripped on the strands of his black hair.
You pulled away with a loud pop and smirked at him. “Are you gonna invite me in or what?” you asked him, before pressing a peck onto his lips. “I mean… you literally know mine, it’s only fair”
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
Inside, Felix turned the lights on and you gasped as soon as you saw his place.
It seemed incredibly cozy. You had always tried to picture how his home would be. And it always ended up in thinking that his house would be either all white or all black, incredibly minimalist with no life in it, American Psycho style. But it wasn’t at all like what you imagined.
He had a dark green couch with a very fluffy looking white carpet underneath. He had a huge bookshelf filled with books and he had action figures there as well on display. There were plants everywhere and his kitchen looked pretty colorful.
“Wow, I really like it” you exhaled, walking around the place a bit. “You know, I half expected you to live underground or- or maybe some kind of Patrick Bateman style?”
“Patrick Bateman? Really? Me?” he asked with a chuckle.
“You should take a look at your desk, buddy” you scoffed and he just shook his head.
“Whatever, wanna snoop around?” Felix asked you with a smile as he took off his coat, leaving it on the couch.
“No…”
“I know you wanna. I snooped at your place, it’s only fair” he shrugged, watching you take your own coat.
You watched as he turned around in his heel and went to turn on the kettle, making you frown.
What is he doing?
You walked towards him and placed your hands on the island. “What are you doing?” you asked him with a little frown.
Freaking deja vu.
“I’m making you some tea” he replied, his eyes not leaving the kettle as he clicked on the buttons.
“I thought… you brought me inside to, you know… do everything to me” you quoted his words.
Felix chuckled and turned around to face you. “Really?”
“yeah, really” you nodded, mocking his tone.
“Well, I am thirsty for some tea, so if you want some” he said and smirked evilly at you.
You narrowed your eyes and turned around, walking towards the bookcase.
With a hum, your fingers danced over the book spines. You frowned when you realised something.
“You don’t have one single Bang Editorials book here” you told him. You gasped and turned around to look at him. “You are such a Kim Publishing kind of guy”
“No, I am not” he chuckled. “I just like those editions a little better”
“Don’t lie, I can see straight through you, Felix Lee” you scoffed, rolling your eyes and continuing snooping around the bookcase.
You saw a book of anatomy and frowned. It was very out of character from the other books he had on the shelf.
“Wow, you really like to learn about dicks” you joked.
He snorted and walked towards you with two cups of tea. “No, I just like to learn about everything”
“Okay, nerd”
“No, but seriously. I actually did a year of medical school” he confessed and handed you one of the cups he had in hand.
You grabbed it and then gasped. “Oh my God, that’s why Bang Seojun calls you Dr. Lee” you said with your eyes wide as plates.
He sighed and nodded. “To remind me of my failure to live up to my potential… I guess” he shrugged and then sipped on the tea.
You sipped on the tea as well and then left it by the book case. “You know…” you trailed off, placing your hands on his waist and pulled him closer to you, making him smirk. “If you were a doctor, all your lady patients would have to get their heart checked every time from how hard it would beat, mm?” you chuckled.
“Shall we…” he said, leaving the cup next to yours and pulling you even closer to him with his hands on your waist. “...test the theory?”
“Of course” you said, pressing a kiss to his lips. He smiled against your lips and kissed you back, his hands coming to frame your face. You pulled away a little, letting your lips brush against each other. “I want to see your bedroom, can I?” you asked excitedly, like a little kid.
Felix chuckled and raised his arm, pointing at the hall to your right.
You quickly padded through the hall and stepped inside his bedroom. You looked around with a soft smile as you saw the perfectly made bed, because you weren’t expecting anything less from him.
You gasped when you saw there was a little bed next to his, like the one that you buy for a pet.
“You have a cat?” you asked him, wide-eyed, as you locked eyes with his when he walked inside his room.
He chuckled. “I do, yeah” he smiled.
“Where is it?” you asked, looking around.
“I actually just came from leaving him at petcare. I’m leaving for Chris’ wedding and I can’t leave him alone” Felix said.
“What’s his name?” you asked him.
“Cupid” he said and you let out a chuckle. “What are you laughing at?”
“You’re so adorable. Here I was thinking you were the devil’s spawn and you named your cat cupid, holy shit” you laughed.
You then took off your shoes, and sat on his bed, putting your weight on your elbow.
With a little smirk you patted the empty space next to you. “Come here” you murmured.
He smiled back and walked towards the bed, laying next to you in the same position you were, facing you.
“Can I… can I ask you something?” you asked, your hand coming to twirl a loose strand of black hair from his head.
“You already did” he smirked and you scoffed, your hand falling with a thud against the bed. “I’m kidding, go ahead”
“Okay” you said softly. “Why did you uh… quit med school?” you asked quietly.
He chewed on his lip and exhaled softly. “Well, uh… after two semesters of immersing myself into a career that I did not choose to pursue, my father thought it would be a good idea to spend a day with me at the morgue ward. Five minutes later, the… family day ended up with me throwing up inside the stomach of a dead man” he said and you grimaced, the look on your face making him giggle.
“That’s fair, I would’ve quit too, to be honest” you laughed with him. You then let your hand fall to his arm, caressing it. “What’s this muscle called, hm?”
“Brachioradialis” he answered immediately.
You nodded and then trailed your hand over to the muscle before his shoulder, gripping it with a bit at your lip. “And… this one?”
“Anterior deltoid” he replied.
“And… this one?” you asked again, gripping his bicep.
He chuckled. “Biceps”
“Oh, right. I knew that” you said, your cheeks flushing. “And what about this one?”
You took him by utter surprise when you pushed him on his back and swung your leg over his hip, sitting yourself directly on top of his crotch. He groaned as his hands fell automatically on your waist, gripping you tightly.
He sat up and brought you even closer to him, if it was even possible.
Your faces were very close to each other to the point you could feel his breath hitting directly onto your upper lip.
“Hi” you whispered, batting your eyelashes prettily at him.
His eyes fell onto your lips. “Hey” he whispered back before kissing your lips, and you were quick to kiss him back.
It wasn’t rushed. It was just a long peck on the lips, but it was worth more than any of the other kisses you had shared. It meant something. It had feelings poured on it.
He nudged your nose with his and smiled. “You taste sweet”
“It might be the gloss I applied before coming over” you giggled.
“Nah, I think it’s just you” he whispered back.
You smiled and pushed him on his back again, making him groan. Your hands brushed all over his body, making you gasp at how hard the planes of his stomach were. He worked out and it made you clench around nothing.
“Holy fucking hell, remind me to send your personal trainer some thank you flowers” you told him, making him laugh out loud.
“I spend a lot of time in the gym. You know… having to look at you for eight hours a day leaves me with an excess of energy that I have to get rid of” he murmured sensually, massaging your thighs.
You chuckled and bent down to press your nose on his, speaking directly on his lips. “I can help you… burn some calories if you’d like” you whispered, before pressing a little kiss on his lips.
“Seriously?” he arched an eyebrow with a curious look. “And how would you do that?” he asked.
“Well, I had a lot of things in mind but… I think we should play a game” you said and he hummed. “It’s called ‘who can make the other cum first’?” you said and pressed a kiss to his lips.
“Okay…”
You sighed. “Seriously, Felix. I think we should fuck and just get it out of our system” you said, biting his lip a little as you moved your crotch against his. “And then… we can just go back to normal without that crazy sexual tension that we seem to have”
Felix looked at you in the eyes and let out a sigh, grabbing your waist. “okay, Cupcake-” he said and deposited you next to him and off of him, making you frown instantly. “I think it’s getting a little late” he said, standing up from his bed.
What?
He walked out of his room, leaving you there on his bed, incredibly turned on by just a little rubbing with clothes on.
You followed him out of his room with a frown and holding your heels in your fingers. “Felix? What is your problem?” you asked, incredibly confused about what had just happened. “Did you not want to have sex with me?”
“I don’t know, maybe some other time” he replied, sitting on the armrest of his couch.
“Huh? Maybe some other time? You say that when you turn down a muffin, not sex” you frowned even more. “Is this about the job?”
“Yes, it is. It’s not wise to sleep with the competition” he replied but you knew he didn’t really think that.
You scoffed with a not so subtle roll of your eyes. “Right, ah-há. Make me beg for sex and then kick me out of your house. Nice move, Felix Lee”
“Were you begging?”
“That’s not funny!” you yelled at him. “Are you playing with me? Is that what this is?”
“I think you’re the one playing games with me, Y/N” he said, crossing his arms over his chest.
You grabbed your coat and shook your head. “Okay, whatever the hell this is, I don’t want to do it anymore” you said, turning around and walking out of his house.
You didn’t even stop until you were at least two blocks away from his house. Then, you pressed your back against the wall and let your head fall to your hands, pressing your fingers against your temples.
On the other hand, Felix stared at the door and let out an irritated sigh.
“Good job, Felix. Go on and ruin it once again” he whispered to himself, kicking his shoes angrily from his feet.

𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐑 - 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐟𝐮𝐥
After what felt like a day, but it was actually only two hours, your eyes blinked open. Your head was still pounding and you sat up slowly to prevent the headache coming back.
When you looked up, you saw Felix standing next to a man who you didn’t know. For a minute you thought you were still inside your dream, or probably the fever was making you hallucinate.
“Oh, God. Am I dreaming or am I fucked up enough that I’m hallucinating two men standing in front of me?”
The other guy next to Felix laughed. “Y/N?” he asked. You hummed. “I’m a doctor, how are you feeling?” he asked you, with a strong australian accent just like Felix.
“Like shit” you sighed.
“She had a fever of 103 approximately” Felix told him.
“Okay, let’s sit you up so I can check you” the man said, coming to sit down next to you as you pressed your back against the wall with a groan.
The man pressed two fingers from each hand over the sides of your neck and started rubbing. You looked at him and exhaled. “You are very handsome” you slurred out, your eyes doing quick blinks.
He chuckled. “Thank you, people always gravitate towards Felix, though” he told you.
You frowned and looked at Felix who was frowning at you. “Huh?” you asked the man.
“I’m his stepbrother. I’m Christopher” he told you. “You can call me Chris, though”
You laughed. “I bet you wanted to beat him up so bad when you were kids” you told him, making Chris laugh.
“I like her” he told Felix over his shoulder.
Felix sighed. “She’s very special” he admitted and you rolled your eyes.
You looked away to your hands over your lap and your lips couldn’t help but twitch a little as your heart started beating even quicker.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
In your living room, Felix was sitting with Chris by the table as they let you rest. Chris was scribbling a prescription for the medicine you had to take.
“You did all the right things, Lix. You would’ve been good at this” Chris pointed out.
Felix looked at him and glared with narrowed eyes.
Chris rolled his eyes and smiled at him. “I’m not trying to be a dick, I promise, man” he said, raising his hands up in the air. “I’m just saying. You did everything right”
The freckled man nodded and looked down.
“So… did you get the invite? I’m assuming you did, but the real question would be if you’re coming” he asked him slowly. “It’s just that… well, Sana and I need to count down the people who are coming and all”
Felix sighed. “It’s just that… nothing, I’ve just been slammed with work. My boss is just a pain in the ass, you know him” he told him.
Chris sighed. “Felix, I know it’s awkward. It’s weird. I get it, I really do” he nodded his head. “But when your brother gets married, you show up. Bring someone with you”
Felix scoffed. “Yeah, right. Because that’s exactly what we need. More witnesses to our absurd family drama” he rolled his eyes.
Chris let out a chuckle and handed him the prescription. “Keep her fluids high and call me if the fever gets worse. I doubt it, though”
Felix nodded. “Thank you, Chris” he told his stepbrother.
Meanwhile, you could hear part of the conversation and when you heard the door of your house being opened and then shut closed, you quickly closed your eyes and faked being asleep once the footsteps towards your bedroom started getting closer.
Felix opened your door and smiled as soon as he saw you. “Hey, how are we doing?” he asked you, sitting next to you.
You sighed and lazily stretched. “Hey, I’m feeling better” you said to him.
“That’s good, I brought you some water. Figured you’d want some” he said to you, handing you a small bottle.
You grabbed it and smiled at him warily. “Thank you” you said quietly and opened it, taking a small sip. You left it by the nightstand and sighed. “My mom always gave me strawberry juice when I was sick” you told him with a little smile.
Felix smiled at that and nodded.
“What did yours do when you were sick?” you asked him, trying to get some conversation out of him.
He just sighed. “Well… they were always busy treating other people, so…” he shrugged, like he was not affected by that. “If you didn’t have some kind of cardiac arrest then your illness didn’t count”
You pressed your lips together in a tight lipped smile. “Is everyone in your family a doctor?”
He nodded. “Yeah, all of them. All surgeons. Except for me” he gave you a smile.
You trailed your eyes all over his face and he got nervous, feeling your cheeks getting redder. “Has anyone ever told you that you look like a fairy?” you asked him and then immediately frowned.
Did you really say that?
You sighed.
Must be the fever.
He let out a chuckle and pressed the back of his hand to your forehead. “I think it’s time to take your temperature again, Cupcake” Felix said.
“No, stop calling me that” you groaned, pushing his hand away from you.
He scoffed. “Not a chance” Felix smirked. “Watching you pretend you hate that nickname it’s the best part of my day” he chuckled.
Your eyes went down to his shirt and you frowned. “You changed your shirt” you said, your fingers touching the fabric.
He looked down and nodded. “yeah, my brother brought it for me. It would’ve been really uncomfortable to wear a dress shirt for this long”
“Light grey, white, baby blue, sky blue, royal blue” you said.
He frowned. “What does that mean?” he asked, confused.
“Your shirt pattern” you told him quietly, like it was obvious. “Always in the same order”
Felix pressed his tongue to his inner cheek and laughed airly. “I guess I am predictable” he admitted.
“Yeah, you only surprised me once” you told him, licking your lips nervously.
“When was it?” he asked.
“The elevator”
The response was immediate from your part. There was no hesitation and no lie to it. He really did surprise you when he kissed you a couple of days ago.
Felix was clearly taken aback by what you said.
“And… what did you think of that?” he asked in a whisper.
You sighed and pressed your lips into a thin line. “I think… it was out of the blue. I wasn’t expecting that, at all” you said and he chuckled. “But… it was very hot”
He smiled at you and his eyes searched yours.
You bit your lip and smiled. “Are we doing a staring contest right now?” you asked him with a chuckle.
“you bet” he said, laughing slightly.
You smiled at the sound.
“What?”
“I like the way you look at me” you simply said.
He caressed your shoulder for a few moments and tugged a little on the bed cover, making sure it was over your shoulder. “You should get some rest” he said, standing up from the bed.
“Okay” you said, your voice small.
“You’ll call me if anything happens?” he asked you.
You looked at him and smiled. “You wish”
He just chuckled.
And your heart doubled its size.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
The day after, you woke up and heard commotion in the kitchen, making you sit up with a gasp. You were so startled that you didn’t even notice how your headache was long gone now.
“What the fuck is that noise?” you whispered to yourself.
Your feet found your fluffy slippers and ran towards the kitchen, thinking the worst. A killer, a thief, your mother, anything. Your eyes widened when you saw Felix making breakfast there.
“Felix?” you wondered out loud.
“Oh, she lives!” he exclaimed, turning around.
“What are you doing in my apartment?” you asked him, blinking rapidly, trying to check if you weren’t inside a dream, which you weren’t.
He pulled his face back in shock. “I took you here after you almost fain-”
“No, I know that. I thought you left, you said I could call you if anything happened” you said to him.
He blinked. “Yeah, and I meant that because I crashed on your couch. I slept there” he said, pointing at it. “I said you could call me… with your voice, and I’d go there, you know, to your bedroom” he said with sarcasm.
You scoffed. “Okay, um what are you doing?” you asked him, demandingly, taking Felix by surprise once again.
“I’m making breakfast?”
“No, I mean… everything. Why are you doing this?” you asked him, placing your hands on the kitchen island.
He chuckled and grabbed a dishcloth to wipe his hands. “That does not sound like a thank you to me, but you’re very welcome” Felix replied.
“No! Thank you, seriously” you nodded. “I’m truly thanking you, you’ve been… weirdly nice to me, but I need you to stop. Okay?” you said angrily. “This is- like I said- weird, it’s too weird” you repeated your words nervously.
Felix sighed and left the dishcloth on the counter.
“Oh, and if you use any of this stuff against me-”
“Genuinely, why would I use this against you?” he asked you with a serious face. “It wouldn’t give me any advantage to our competition whatsoever”
“Felix, come on” you whined.
“No, it’s fine. I get it. Chris left a prescription for you, it’s on the table over there” he said, pointing at it while grabbing his coat.
You sighed as you followed him to the door, your feet dragging over the floor.
“I’ll see you at the office” he said before opening the door and shutting it behind him.
You closed your eyes and clenched them. With an irritated sigh, you turned on your heel and went back to sulk in your misery back to your room.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
At the office, you walked inside quickly, running a little late.
“Hey, Y/N!” you heard Wooyoung’s voice behind you as you walked through the walls of Kim Publishing.
You turned around and your eyes widened at the small bouquet of white flowers he had in hand. “Hello, what are you doing here?” you asked him, biting back rolling your eyes.
“I got you these” he said with a smile, handing you the flowers.
You smiled at him, trying to seem as nice as possible. “Always with the flowers, Woo. You’re so sweet” you said as you smelt them.
Weird. They were white and very small. Nothing compared to the pink tulips that you had received a couple of days before. But you weren’t about to get picky on that, so you simply grabbed them and smiled.
“Where have you been by the way?” he asked as he watched you press the elevator button.
“I’ve survived a day of raging headaches and a fever that’s been a pain in my ass. But I’m all good now” you replied.
You stepped into the elevator and your eyes widened a little when he stepped in with you.
He doesn’t work upstairs with me, what is he even doing?
When you reached the floor you worked at, Wooyoung was still talking to you, rambling about… well, you didn’t even know what the hell he was talking about. You just pretended to listen while your mind was blank.
“After you” he said and you smiled curtly, stepping out of the elevator. “So, as I was saying. When we finished the game, it was like 7 AM and we didn’t notice cause the blinds were closed” he continued.
God! What the hell is he talking about?
When you reached your office, you saw Felix who gave you a slight smile that quickly fell when he saw the bouquet in your hand.
“Well, that’s crazy, Woo” you told him, standing by the door. “I gotta get to work ASAP, but I’ll-”
“Wait, um… do you want to have dinner tonight? WIth me?” Wooyoung asked you, shifting on his heels, a clear sign of nervousness.
You pulled your face back and pursed your lips. “Uh- i-it could be. It depends on how I’m feeling. I literally just shoved like three bottles of Advil up my ass, so” you chuckled nervously.
Wooyoung nodded with a chuckle and then looked at Felix. “Hey, Felix” he said politely.
Felix turned his head around and plastered on a fake smile that you recognised immediately. “You don’t work on this floor” he said and then went back to typing away on his computer.
Wooyoung’s eyes widened and you scoffed. “I just came to see my girl, little old Y/N” he smirked and elbowed your side slightly. You then saw his smile faltering, his eyes trained on something on your desk.
You turned your head to see what he was looking at and then you felt your heart drop to the pit of your stomach.
There was a tulip. A single tulip. A pink one. Sitting on your desk, pretilly.
Your eyes widened and then looked back at Wooyoung.
“Wow, no vibe, huh?” Wooyoung asked. You tried to articulate words but nothing was coming out. You looked back at Felix, who was too busy trying to seem like he was paying attention to his computer.
“Y/N! Can you come see me in a minute, please?” you heard Hwayoung calling you from her office.
“Yeah, one second” you replied over your shoulder. “Um, I gotta go” you told Wooyoung.
“Yeah, sure” he nodded with a smile. He pressed a kiss to your cheek and you gave him a sympathetic smile.
You went to your desk and left the flowers on the desk. You smiled as you saw that next to the tulip was a bottle of strawberry juice with a note that said Cupcake with a heart drawn around it.
“Strawberry juice-” you were about to say something else when you re-read the note.
Cupcake.
Wait… that handwriting. It’s oddly familiar. Could it be? No… but it’s-
He-
“You sent the tulips” you said.
It wasn’t a question.
It was a statement.
Felix looked up but he didn’t look happy, he seemed… annoyed about something. He was about to say something when the phone on his desk rang.
“Felix Lee… yeah, I’ll be right there” he said and hung up. He stood up and let out a sigh. “I’m glad you feel better” he said curtly and walked away, out of the office.
You just stood there, shocked to your core. Yes, he did send those flowers.
You’re always beautiful.
As much as you hated to admit, your stomach had erupted in butterflies, fluttering around the insides.
You’re always beautiful.
You closed your eyes and let out a deep breath. “Fuck…”
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You knocked on Hwayoung’s office and walked inside when you heard the soft come in.
She smiled at you from her desk. “I saw you submitted your application” Hwayoung commented with a little smirk.
“Yeah… I know, it’s a shot in the dark” you told her with a shrug as you sat down in front of her.
“Are you kidding me? I’m counting on you getting this job, it was excellent” she told you with sincerity. “We can’t let Bang Seojun transform this place again… especially if he doesn’t appreciate books enough given that this is an editorial and all”
“Yeah” you chuckled.
“Felix also submitted his application” Hwayoung told you and you nodded, feeling a pang in your chest at the mention of his name.
“I know…”
“He literally has a degree and that won’t hurt his chances” she grumbled.
“Hey, I do too” you said with a frown, making Hwayoung let out a little chuckle.
“I know sweetie. But we live in a man’s world”
“Right” you grumbled. Because of course. You let out a frustrated huff and placed your hands on the table. “Can you be honest with me? How much of a shot do I have? Because I really, really want that job. Okay? I need to prepare myself more? Done, I’m-”
“Y/N. Don’t underestimate yourself” Hwayoung smiled softly. “You already do and are everything that the job requires to, and you do it perfectly. You know this company through and through, you have fantastic instincts. Frankly, I should have promoted you to publishing years ago” she said.
Your eyes widened. “Why didn’t you do that?” you asked slowly.
Hwayoung sighed. “You manage every single aspect of my job that I hate doing” she said with a grimace. “And well… at the time, I thought you needed more preparation. But I was wrong. I admit that”
You pressed your lips together.
“I want to do things right, Y/N. And if I have a say in whoever ends up getting the job, then I’m gonna go full on you” she promised.
You nodded with a smile, but at the same time, you were hurting inside.
You didn’t know what you were going to do if you didn’t get the job.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
Felix was typing on his macbook when he saw that you stood in front of his desk with a smile.
“What?” he asked, frowning.
“I’m trying to say thank you” you replied.
He sighed and stood up, grabbing a folder with files. “No need”
You huffed and followed him. “You helped me, and I owe you a favour” you stood next to him as he placed the folder inside the drawer. “What can I do for you? I can clean your apartment from A to Z, I can bake you- no, wait. I will go with you to your stepbrother’s wedding. I can be your designated driver, you can get shit faced drunk and I will clean up your vomit”
Felix looked at you and narrowed his eyes, grabbing his coat and walking out of the office with you following him suit. “How do you know about that?” he muttered.
“I overheard you in my kitchen and I know you need a plus one” you told him. “Are you mad at me?”
He sighed as he continued walking. “I’m not mad at you, Y/N. I’m just busy” he said but you continued walking next to him. “My God, Y/N, can you give me some time alone?”
“No! Not until you say we’re even!” you said, shaking your head.
He stopped in his tracks and looked at you. “What do you mean ‘even’?”
You looked behind him and saw that there was a storage room. Your brain didn’t think it through as you pushed him inside the room while he looked at you like you had grown two heads.
You closed the door behind you as his back almost slammed against a shelf. “Okay… now this is on another level of-”
“just say that I can take you to the wedding. End of story” you told him, standing in front of him, your chests almost touching each other’s.
“Is that what you want?” he asked you.
“No, what I want is for us to stop fighting” you told him angrily. “I just want a freaking little ounce of peace in my daily life, thank you very much”
“And I’ll just die of boredom” he said to you.
“No, you and I won’t be bored because I’ll enjoy a fantastic new job to keep me busy while you’re busy hunting for one” you stated simply with a fake friendly smile.
“You’re not getting the job-”
“No!” you said as he went to move but you were quick to press your hands on his chest, pushing him against the shelf once again.
Your breath became ragged as you noticed how little the distance between the two of you had become. His nose was very close to yours, and it made you angry how his face was unreadable.
You looked him in the eyes and bit your lip. “Put your hands on me” you whispered to him.
He let out a little chuckle with a side smirk. “You can put them on yourself” he whispered.
You breathed out and grabbed his hands, slowly placing them on the sides of your waist. He gently moved them so they were resting on the curve of your ass, his fingers digging into your asscheeks.
He bit his lip slightly and slowly released it, making you press your face close to his, your lips brushing against each other.
“Kiss me” you spoke directly on them.
He smiled and brushed them a couple more before pulling his face away. “Will you do me a favour?” he asked in a whisper.
You looked up to his eyes and swallowed. “What?”
He licked his lips in a nervous habit. “Go to dinner with Wooyoung and kiss him” he told you.
You frowned immediately and pulled your whole body back from him. “What? Why would I do that?”
He sighed. “If it’s better than our kiss a couple of days ago at the elevator, then that’s fine. But if it’s not then-”
“What is your problem, Felix Lee?” you asked him angrily as you clenched your fists at your sides.
“Look…” Felix sighed. “I don’t want to be an experiment before you settle down with Mr. Nice Guy. Alright?” he told you. “And I’m not gonna put my hands on you again unless you tell me that no one kisses you like I do”
He nodded one last time and left the storage room, leaving you standing there, eyes strained on the shelf in front of you.
Before you could say something to him, he shut the door.
You blinked a couple of times and then let out a huff.
What the actual fuck is wrong with me?, you thought.

Okay, so… the kiss.
You weren’t going to lie to yourself, but it was the best kiss you’ve ever had in a long time.
Probably ever.
It made you want to kiss him all over again and you hated it.
You wondered what had meant for him, he had been the one to initiate it in the first place. Was it something that had occurred to him due to the situation that you were involved in? Something that was in the heat of the moment? Had he thought about it before?
You tried to bring yourself back into reality as you stared at the window.
Because yes. After that fiery kiss you had shared, Felix had offered to take you to the bar in his car as it was pouring rain outside.
And you had said yes.
Maybe if you hadn’t been so affected by the kiss, you would’ve turned him down. But your brain was turned into a twisted mush that no coherent thought could cross properly.
You noticed he was glancing at you every once in a while. You tried not to give in and look at him as well.
“So… am I taking you home now or…” he finally spoke.
“No…” you said, cutting him off. “I still need to go find Wooyoung at Joe’s Bar” you told him.
Felix frowned. “What are you talking about?”
You slowly looked at him. “My date? The one you’re taking me to?” you said with sarcasm.
Felix pulled his face back and let out a scoff. “Well- I… I thought… wait, hold up” he said and looked at you. “Wooyoung? Really?”
You let out an irritated sigh. “Oh my God, can you just pull over?” you asked him, your palms slapping against your knees.
“But we’re still a block away from the bar” he said to you, with a frown.
“Yeah, I know. But I want to get out of the car, just… pull over, please” you said, angrily.
“Y/N-”
“Pull over, Felix!”
He sighed and did as you told him. As soon as the car got a little closer to the sidewalk, you opened the door, letting yourself out to the pouring rain, almost throwing yourself out of his car.
“Wait, just- wait a second! Take my umbrella-” he didn’t even have the chance to finish because you slammed the door, leaving him with his shoulders sagged and a frown on his face.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You opened the door of the bar and walked inside, completely soaked from head to toe. You saw your… date sat by the bar on a stool, making some talk with the bartender.
“Hey!” you said with a fake smile towards Wooyoung.
“Hello, hi” Wooyoung stammered when he saw you.
“I’m so sorry for making you wait, there’s basically a flood outside” you sighed, taking out your coat. Wooyoung’s eyes trailed all over you. “I look like a maniac who just came to fight off a tsunami” you said, grabbing your hair and twisting it to get the water off of it.
“No, you look great wet” Wooyoung said and you pulled your face back, clearly not expecting that comment. “I- I mean… you- you look beautiful regardless of- of the rain” he stammered nervously and blushing like a madman.
You let out a giggle and then turned to the bartender. “I’ll have an Old Fashioned. Please” you sighed.
Wooyoung’s eyes widened. “Um, I’ll have a gin tonic, please” he said and then turned to you. “We’re starting off strong, huh?” he asked with a chuckle. “Rough day, Y/N?”
You frowned. “Strange day, actually” you said while grabbing a napkin to dry your hair that was soaking wet from the rain. You saw the book that he had brought you the day before to your office, was on the bar, next to his things. The one you had absolutely loved until Bang Seojun thought it was best to put a very sexualised cover on it. “Oh the book! Did you read it?” you asked him, pointing at it.
He looked down at it and nodded. “Oh, yeah, I did. It absolutely sucked” he said and your shoulders deflated. “Boring and bland, if you ask me. And you know they say don’t judge a book by its cover but this time, I think both are equally terrible”
You arched your eyebrows and then let out a strangled laugh. “I- I know, right?” you snorted out your lie. “I mean, who wants to read ten pages about the topography of Fort Ticonderoga, right?”
“I mean, right?” he exclaimed with a smile. “That's exactly what I thought!”
Yikes.
You frowned once you turned your head away from him. This was so bad.
“It’s genuinely bad” he continued and it made your left eye twitch.
You turned your head around to look at him again and smiled. “Could you excuse me for a second, Woo?” you asked, hopping off of the stool.
“Yeah, sure” he nodded.
You walked towards the bathroom and when you turned into the corner, you bumped into someone.
“Oh fuck so- you?” you whispered-yelled when you came face to face with him.
“Hey, are you alright?” Felix asked you, following you into the hall that led to the bathroom.
You scoffed and stopped in your tracks, then you turned around to face him. “I’m fine” you spat. “What are you doing here, Felix Lee?”
Felix looked down and extended his hand. “You left your purse in my car” he told you, handing you the expensive handbag you chose to wear to impress him or whatever it was that you thought that morning.
You grabbed the bag and sighed. “You win, okay” you exhaled, putting your hands up in the air.
He frowned. “What are you talking about, Y/N?” he asked, genuinely confused, with a shake of his head.
“You got inside my head and fucked with it. That’s what you were aiming at, right?” you said angrily at him. “I mean, you mentally manipulated my brain into kissing you when I should’ve just slapped that freckled face of yours. It must’ve been a really good day for you”
Felix’s frown went even deeper. “Huh? What? I- okay, I made a mistake, you want to report me to HR? Go ahead” he stammered.
You let out a scoff. “That’s what you’re worried about?” you laughed humorlessly. “My God, Felix. A man just called me beautiful and my first initial thought of it is to think he’s just straight up playing with me!”
Felix blinked at you, trying to find the words to say to you.
You sighed and let your hands drop to your sides. “I honestly feel like I’m going crazy here, okay? So, please just go home so I can go back to Wooyoung” you told him angrily, turned around and dove right into the bathroom.
You shut the door of the bathroom and let out a relieved breath.
Once you finished, you went back to meet Wooyoung and found that your drinks had already been served.
“Oh hey, you’re back” he said with a smile.
“Yep” you said quietly as you sat down on the stool.
“Well cheers- nevermind” he said as soon as he raised his glass but saw you grabbing your Old Fashioned and downing it without one second thought.
You waved to the bartender and made a sign for him to serve you another one.
“Hey uh… did I just see Felix by any chance?” he asked you.
You frowned, playing dumb and then your eyes widened. “Oh! yeah! uh… he came here to drop a file from work that I needed, yeah” you lied straight through your teeth. “But don’t worry, he’s already gone. Thank God”
“Right, sure” He nodded. Wooyoung looked down at his hands and let out a sigh. “Right, so uh… you and him are you- I mean…” he stammered.
You arched an eyebrow. “We’re what?”
“I mean, don’t get me wrong, I can’t help it but I feel like there’s something going on in there and-”
“Nah-ah” you shook your head with a deep frown. “No, no, no. No something, no vibe, no nothing. Like for sure”
Wooyoung smiled then, genuinely. “So… is this like a real date then? For real?” he asked and you just wanted to smack the fuck out of yourself for messing with this person’s feelings. “Right?”
You let out a smile. “Yeah, of course it is!” you said in a rather high pitched tone. “This is the real thing. We… are in a real date right about now”
“Awesome!” he smiled and nodded. “Okay, so tell me! This is a question I ask every date I go out with, which is… not a lot… but here it goes: favourite movie?”
What a nerd, he’s so adorable.
You let out a giggle. “Oh my God, I don’t- I don’t think I have one. I can say that the Lord Of The Rings saga is my go to on a Sunday night” you said, eating some chips.
Wooyoung gasped. “You’re serious? I love the Lord of The Rings!” he said.
“You do?”
“yeah! Absolutely. For my last birthday party, I made everyone dress up with costumes of their favourite movie characters. I picked Aragorn” he said with a smirk.
“Wow, that’s hot” you said. “I mean, you cannot blame me. Viggo Mortensen is just so hot in those”
Wooyoung shrugged. “You ain’t wrong” he said, making you giggle out loud.
“I love Aragorn but… I’m a girl and I just can’t help but love Liv Tyler’s character, Arwen. I always get mad at people that say she’s irrelevant” you told him.
“Liv Tyler can’t be irrelevant. Ever”
“I mean, right?” you asked with a nod. “Though, the best character is Gimli. You can’t argue with me on that one”
Wooyoung nodded slowly. “Touché”
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You walked with Wooyoung through the wet streets of the city, as the rain had stopped.
“I can’t believe you say Twilight’s lame” you argued.
“Cause it is! It basically makes no sense…”
“That’s the whole point of it! It’s a vampire and werewolf movie” you chuckled. “That shit doesn’t exist in real life, Woo”
“No, but nothing feels genuine coming from the actors, I think the plot is weird-”
“Okay, you’re actually offending me” you cut him mid sentence, faking an annoyed face that made him laugh out loud.
“I’m sorry!” he chuckled. “I just can’t stand Kristen Stewart’s acting in the first movies and she’s a phenomenal actress”
“Well, I can’t argue with that, I’m afraid” you sighed, curling your arm around his. “I love the books though. I reread them every chance I get”
“You’re a nerd” Wooyoung deadpanned. “Let’s face the music”
You gasped. “Says the president of the committee in question!” you laughed. “Man, you have a mini poster of Star Wars by your desk! I can’t compete with your nerdy ass”
“Hey, Anakin Skywalker is the coolest character ever made, alright? Even cooler than you claim Edward Cullen to be” he said, making you laugh.
“Edward Cullen shines when sunlight hits him. That’s enough proof that he’s cooler than whoever that guy is” you said, making him roll his eyes with a scoff.
“Please…” he said and it made you giggle at how he faked being offended.
You arrived at your home and you let out a sigh, dropping your arm from his. “Well… this is me. Thank you for walking me home” you said with a tight-lipped smile. “I appreciate it”
He chuckled and shook his head. “No worries, it’s the least I can do” he nods his head.
“Well, have a good night, Woo. I had a great time” you said quickly and shut yourself inside your place.
You pressed your back onto the door and pressed your eyelids tightly.
Meanwhile, Wooyoung outside, was perplexed and kind of confused, but he couldn’t lie that he was the happiest he had been in a while and all thanks to you.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
The next day, you woke up and as you were making breakfast for yourself, the doorbell rang.
“Hi, who is it?” you asked through the speaker.
“Delivery for Y/N Y/L/N” the man outside said and you frowned. You didn’t have any delivery that you were aware of.
“Um, alright. Come in?”
You opened the door and saw the delivery man holding a huge bouquet of flowers, making you gasp.
“Thank you, have a good day” you said to him and shut the door behind you. “Flowers?” you whispered to yourself.
You put the flowers on the table and smiled as your eyes raked all over them. Tulips. Your favourites. Then, your eyebrows furrowed once you saw a pink note on it.
Quickly, you pulled it from the bouquet and read it:
You’re always beautiful.
No signature, but you could imagine who they’d be from.
You pulled your phone out and clicked on the contact.
You: thank you!!!!!
You left the phone on the counter and then it pinged as the reply arrived.
Wooyoung: i had a great time too, no need to thank me :)))
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
On Monday, you got to the office earlier than usual to try to get some work done so you could have a more peaceful week.
Felix arrived about thirty minutes after you did, which was his usual arrival time. He barely spared a glance at you, making your stomach feel a… curious thingy.
You decided to just ignore him and continue with your work, typing away some more.
You heard Felix let out a sigh as he sat down on his chair.
“Y/N…” he breathed out.
You looked up at him with your eyes widened.
“I’m very sorry” he said and you noticed his appearance.
His hair was slightly out of place, his suit jacket was weirdly unbuttoned and he looked kind of sweaty.
Strange.
“So much that you forgot to take a shower this morning?” you asked him, arching only one eyebrow.
He shook his head. “Can we please just take a break from this and lower our weapons?” he asked you.
You let your pen down and let out a breath with a nod. “Alright, okay” you said. “Now, let’s… never speak about it again. Okay?” you asked, standing up to put some papers inside a drawer by the corner of your shared office.
Felix nodded. “Fine by me” he shrugged.
His eyes wandered over your figure as you reorganised the files that you liked to put in alphabetical order, a weird habit that he picked up on you.
“So…” he tried. “How was your date?” he asked slowly.
You smiled and turned around, shutting the drawer. “It was great, yeah. He actually sent me flowers on Saturday, which I thought was a very elegant gesture, if you ask me” you told him and Felix froze and then nodded. “Turns out we have a lot in common, more than I thought. He’s really nice”
Felix let out a chuckle. “The allure of the nice guy, huh?”
“What’s wrong that that?” you asked him.
“Nothing, if that’s what you want” Felix shrugged.
You sat back down on your seat. “Isn’t that what everyone wants? Someone nice?”
“It seems like it”
As you grabbed some papers, you still noticed Felix’s constant stare on you and you put them down, meeting his eyes. “What?”
“I don’t know what to do” he smiled.
You shook your head. “What to do with what?” he asked, making you nervous.
“With this, with us!” he said and it made your heart start to beat faster. “I mean, we used to fight all the time and be at each other’s throats, now I don’t know how to approach you”
Oh… right, cause why would he mean what you thought he meant…
“Mmm…” you murmured. “How about… our life goes on like this: ‘hey, good morning, Y/N’, and then I go: ‘Oh hi, Felix, good morning to you too!’” you said with sarcasm. “Oh, and then we can go on like: ‘Hey, Y/N, I know you’re working on the Hwang Case book, I can help you with it!’, and then I’d go, ‘Really? That’s nice of you, Felix. Thank you’, ‘You’re so very welcome, Y/N’” you finished with a smile.
Felix smiled back at you and then made a fake gun with his fingers, pointed at himself and “shot” himself.
You rolled your eyes. “I’ll take that as a no”
Suddenly, Soyeon came by and knocked on the door. “Hey, Y/N, I was looking for you” she said with a chirpy voice.
What now????
You bit your lip to contain a sigh. “Hey, Soyeon” you said.
“I was going to ask you for a tiny little favour” she said. You raised your eyebrows, like allowing her to continue. “You remember my nephew? Well, he’s back from the hospital and shit but now his dad actually got caught up in- in some kind of drug thing” she said and your eyes widened up like plates. “I know! So weird, but anyways. I gotta deal with that stuff and I just came to ask you if you could do the report for me? I swear I’ll make it up for you”
You let out a huff and clenched your eyelids angrily. “Soyeon, this is like the third time-”
“I know! I know, but I swear it’ll be the last time” she pleaded, putting her hands together and pouting.
You sighed, “You owe me big time, Soyeon” you muttered.
She let out a squeal and sent you kisses. “I love you, Y/N. You’re the best” she said and bolted out of your office.
You let our head fall to your hands and let out a loud groan.
“That was pathetic, Y/N” Felix snorted with a shake of his head in dissaproval.
“Would you shut up?” you said loudly. “Since you’re so nice to everybody but me, you could’ve told her that you could be the one making that report, hm?”
He shook his head with a grimace, “Hard pass, I can difference when a person really wants my help than someone who’s straight up taking advantage from my kindness, thank you very much”
You were about to send a snark reply his way but you felt a sharp hammering on your forehead and you groaned, placing your hand there.
Felix immediately frowned. “You look pale, Cupcake” he noticed.
“Could you stop with the nicknames?” you pleaded. “I don’t feel so good” you said as you stood up from your chair.
He got up as well and followed you to where you were. He placed his hand on your forehead and his eyes widened. “Yo, you’re burning up, Cupcake”
You pulled your face away from his hand. “Don’t touch me, what are you doing?”
“I’m telling you, you don’t look good” he said, and from his tone, you could immediately recognise he was worried. And you didn’t like it. “You’re sick, you shouldn’t be here”
You gasped. “You want me to go home so you can get a lead on the job!” you said, pushing your pointer finger into his chest.
“I’m not doing this because of- okay, let’s- let’s get you home” he said when he noticed your face getting paler by the second and your eyes were getting droopy.
“Yeah, okay”
Once you got out to the street, he helped you walk over to his car.
“Alright, Cupcake. I’m gonna help you into the car” he said and opened the door for you.
You put a foot inside the vehicle and you almost physically stopped when you felt his hands on your waist, helping you inside.
He got inside his car quickly and you felt yourself giving up from exhaustion, your head falling onto the window as your eyelids slowly closed.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You woke up with a gasp when you felt a hand on your thigh, gently shaking your leg. You looked to your side and found Felix’s concerned face looking right back at you.
“Hey, we’re home” he told you in a whisper.
“Really?” you asked, sitting up abruptly and then wincing when you felt the pain in your head stabbing you harshly.
“Slow down, Cupcake” he told you, unfastening his seat belt. “Let’s get you home, okay?”
Once you found yourself inside your house, you slumped against the kitchen counter. With a huff, you turned around and found Felix shrugging off his coat and placing his car keys on the island.
You frowned. “What are you doing here?” you asked him.
Felix pulled his face back. “Um, I just drove you home?” he asked, unsure of why you were asking that.
“No, no. Why are you here… inside my home?” you asked in a quiet voice.
He scoffed. “What did you think I was gonna do, Y/N? Open the door of my car and kick you out so you could limp home? Alone?” he asked you sarcastically.
“No, I- shit” you cried when you once again felt the sharp pain in your head.
“Hey, okay, let’s go” he said, grabbing your waist and helping you stabilize on your feet. “Tell me where’s your room”
“Down the hall” you whispered, not sure what was the reason of the dizziness: the raging headache you had or the fact that Felix had his hands placed on each side of your waist. Maybe both.
He took you by surprise when he grabbed you by the back of your legs, and swept you up in his arms. You looked at him like he had grown two heads.
“What are you doing?” you asked him in a high pitched voice.
“Taking care of you” he said, his eyes focused on finding your room.
The statement made your stomach flutter. The way he said it, like it was easy, like he had done it before. Like it was familiar.
His eyebrows wiggled when he found the door of your room and with his foot he pushed it open.
Felix gently laid you on your bed. He carefully grabbed your shoes and placed them on the floor. Then he grabbed the covers, tucking you in.
“okay, tell me where your thermometer is, Cupcake” he said, sitting next to your body.
“Um, it’s- it’s here. In the drawer” you said, pointing at the nightstand next to your head.
He dug his hand inside and took it out from it’s little box. “Okay, arm up” he said and gently placed it under your armpit.
Your eyes never left him.
“You’re in my bedroom” you pointed out.
“Yeah, I am” he chuckled.
You blinked a couple of times and looked at your clothes. “I’m still in my work clothes, fuck” you sighed and went to move but he grabbed your shoulders and pinned you down in your place.
“What are you doing?” he asked you.
“I’m gonna get changed”
“No, tell me where your pajamas are and I’ll get them for you” he said, sternly.
You got shocked by his words but pointed at your closet with your finger. “Second drawer” you said quietly.
“Great” he said and went to the drawer, taking out a tank top and a pair of pajama sweatpants. “Will these work?”
“Y-yeah” you whispered.
The thermometer started beeping and you took it out carefully, handing it to him. “Here we go, let me see” he sighed. “102.8, that’s not good”
You sighed and dropped your face into your hands. “I’m gonna kill myself” you groaned.
Felix looked at you and chuckled, making your head whip up to look at him.
“Are you laughing? At me? Smiling?” you asked him and he just shook his head as he chuckled. “i must be hallucinating, honestly”
“Well, I’ll leave you to change and rest a little. I’ll be back, okay?” he asked, patting your leg and then he left your room.
You stared at the door and let out a deep breath when he was out of sight.

The next day, you woke up with only one thing in your mind:
Revenge.
And you had plotted the best way to do that during the hours you spent tossing and turning in bed after that weird dream you had of him.
You grabbed your fanciest but sluttiest and at the same time your most professional dress you had in your wardrobe. It was black with a deep v-neck that accentuated your breasts but at the same time, it left something to the imagination. You didn’t want to be fired for showing way too much skin, that would be a little unprofessional. But you knew it did make people’s knees weak.
If he was going to get inside your head, you were going to do the same thing to him.
You put on the cuntiest pair of shoes you had, pointy and strappy heels, and slipped over your shoulder a designer bag you always kept just in case it needed to be used.
This was the perfect occasion for it.
You spent thirty minutes doing the perfect makeup for your revenge plan. A slight dark eye shadow, you made a sharp cat eye with your eyeliner and you grabbed a sharp red lipstick to apply on your lips.
When you were done, you smirked at yourself in the mirror and sighed.
You were so ready for it.
You got inside the subway and smirked knowing that everyone there was looking at you.
Once you found a seat, you had only one thing on your mind:
You’re gonna wish you were dead, Felix Lee.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You walked into the office that day, feeling your most confident you’ve been in a while. You knew the plan had done its wonders, everyone was just staring at you and it made you feel so powerful.
The moment you stepped into the elevator, the people in there for sure did a double take. They weren’t expecting you, out of all people, to be dressed like that.
The elevator doors pinged and opened, letting you walk over to your desk with your chin up and your hips swaying a little.
Felix lifted up his head once and when he went to look back down, he froze and looked up.
Bingo.
You smirked to yourself and bent over to put your stuff on the hanger.
“Good morning” you said in a low, sexy voice.
Felix frowned, looking at you up and down. “Good morning” he said in a strained voice. “Got a hot date tonight?” he asked with a tight lipped smile.
You turned around and smiled, full on red lipstick grin. That wasn’t in your plans, but well, now that he said that…
“I might…” you said over your shoulder and sat down on your desk with a sigh.
He dropped his pen on the desk and leant over with an intrigued look. “You’re weirder than usual, is everything okay? Is the job application pressure affecting you, Cupcake?”
“Nope, I’m perfect, Felix Lee” you smiled at him. “In fact, I’m pretty much excited for tonight”
“Because of the hot date in question” he deadpanned.
“Yep” you said, making emphasis on popping out the P.
He pressed his lips together and looked down to his work, continuing writing whatever he was writing with his sharp red marker. You eyed him and cursed internally.
Why wasn’t he looking at you or making questions or-
You cut yourself off and opened your macbook to start work, trying to erase those thoughts from your head by distracting yourself with what really mattered.
“So…” he finally spoke and you smirked, your eyes darting out to him. “When and where is this supposed… encounter going to take place, hm?” he asked, placing his fist under his chin.
You pouted out a little and let out a chuckle. “You seem oddly interested in that matter” you pointed out. “Why is that?”
“Well, studies show that when a manager feigns interest in the personal lives of his employees, it increases morale. That, and well, I basically think you’re straight up bluffing” he smirked at you.
You snorted. “I’m not, Felix Lee” you smiled at him, trying to act confident.
Felix arched an eyebrow. “Oh yeah?”
You hummed as you nodded.
“Then tell me…” he said, placing his chin on the palm of his hand. “When and where?”
You frowned. “When and where, what?” you played dumb.
Felix let out a little laugh and tsked his tongue. “When and where is this supposed date gonna take place?” he asked, with laughter behind his deep voice.
You clenched your fists and said the first thing that came to mind with the most nonchalant tone you could find in yourself. “I’m going to meet him for drinks at Joe’s Bar at seven” you smiled. “And you… will never be my boss”
“Oh” he said, pulling his face back. “That’s such a coincidence! I’m going to Joe’s Bar tonight as well… at seven!”
“Great” you said with a fake unbothered tone. “I will see you there, then”
He winked at you and immersed himself into his work again, making your smile falter as you started to panic inwardly.
You bit the end of you pen as you started thinking.
Where the hell were you going to get a date for tonight at seven at Joe’s Bar?
You chewed on your lip and then a light bulb lit up inside your mind.
You knew the perfect person who you knew would be up for it.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
“Hi, Wooyoung!” you greeted him, knocking on the frame of his door.
He looked up from his computer and he shifted nervously on his seat. “Hey… Y/N!” he said, his hands fidgeting together. “How’s it going?”
“Oh, I’m perfect! What were you doing?” you asked him, walking inside the office.
He let out a tired sigh as he leant back in his chair. “To be fair… I finished work so I was busy ordering myself some new Playstation game that came out yesterday” he said with an embarrassed smile.
“You’re such a nerd” you snorted.
“Yeah, caught me” he said.
“It’s cute” you said, trying to butter him up a bit. And as you knew Wooyoung like the palm of your hand, just like you predicted, the guy blushed like a freaking tomato.
“What’s up, what brings you here?”
“Oh…” you smiled and walked towards Wooyoung. “I actually wanted to know what you’re doing tonight”
Wooyoung pressed his lips into a thin line in thought. “I’m- well, some guys are coming to my house to play this game I told you about and we’re all pretty excited about it” he nodded.
Could you catch a fucking sign, man?, you thought to yourself.
“But tomorrow, I’m free to do whatever the hell I want” he chuckled.
You sighed and pressed two fingers to pinch the bridge of your nose. “Yeah… no, I’m going to be stuck this weekend cause I’m kind of loaded with work, and well, the next as well. Bang Seojun just threw all the work he doesn’t want to do and he loves Felix way too much for him to do that so… I’m basically his slave. And today’s my last free day before the start of my nightmare” you lied straight through your teeth.
You smiled prettily at him and he just stared at you and nodded. “Yeah, yeah, I’ll- I’ll call the guys and tell them we’re doing that tomorrow or some other night” he told you. “They’ll… I’m sure they’ll understand, don’t worry”
You fake gasped and arched your eyebrows. “Really? You’d do that?” you coed.
Wooyoung smiled. “yeah, really”
“Ugh, you’re the best. Thank you! I’ll text you the deets, alright?” you told him.
“Y-yeah, sure” he nodded.
You pressed a kiss to his cheek, staining it with your sharp red lipstick. “Thanks again” you said and bolted out of his office, leaving Wooyoung flustered in his place.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
That night, you finished work at six and let out a tired sigh, shutting your computer with your hand. You looked up only to find Felix already staring at you and he quickly looked away, grabbing some papers and standing up from his seat.
You frowned, finding his actions strange.
He then walked out of the office, heading to Bang Seojun’s and you got up from your seat.
You sat down on Felix’s seat and opened up his laptop, trying to find something interesting by snooping around.
You sighed as soon as you saw the enter password on the screen. Because, of course.
“I hate Y/N?” you tried, but it came out incorrect. “Um… Y/N is a bitch?” incorrect again. “Shit”
You let out a huff and shut the laptop angrily. You saw next to the macbook that there was a notebook and you opened it. Inside, there were some random work scribblings with a blue pen and next to them, there were crosses and lines with his characteristic sharp red marker.
“What the hell?” you whispered.
You continued passing through the pages and found that every single day was marked with those weird red crosses and lines. What could they possibly mean?
Then, you heard Bang Seojun’s office opening and you quickly shut the notebook and ran towards your desk.
“Have a nice weekend, Dr. Lee” you heard Bang Seojun telling Felix.
“You too, Mr. Bang” Felix told him and went back to the office. He saw that his chair was moving and you were moving way too much.
You had been snooping around on his desk, he was sure of it.
He smirked at you and put his hands inside his pockets. “Were you at my table, Y/N?” he asked you, raising one of his eyebrows.
You looked up and shrugged, shaking your head, trying to seem as innocent as you could. “Nope. I just thought I saw a bug over there” you said, barely glancing at him.
“A bug” he deadpanned and you looked up at him with your eyes widened.
“yeah, a bug” you lied again, mocking his tone.
He hummed and sat down on his chair, straightening up his shoulders. “What were you doing at my table?” he asked you, lacing his fingers together as he leant over his desk.
You chuckled. “Like I said. I thought I saw a bug. There wasn’t anything. Came back to my desk. End of the story” you gaslighted him.
He just narrowed his eyes, trying to get the truth out of you.
It made you scoff and roll your eyes, standing up from your desk. “You know what, Felix? You’re just so-”
“What? Beautiful? Amazing? Hot?” he said with arrogance, his voice dropping an octave.
“I was gonna say predictable, actually” you said with your lips pressed into a thin smile. “You’re pretty predictable if you ask me, there’s that” you fired back at him.
You grabbed some papers from your purse and went back to your desk. His eyes were always on you and then he chewed on his lip.
“Are you still going on that date of yours?” he asked, and you noticed his voice was rather small.
You looked up and sent him a confident smile. “Yep. And I should probably get going, actually. Don’t want to make him wait” you said, shrugging one of your shoulders.
“Yeah, you should probably tell him how you like to snoop around your co-worker’s stuff” he smirked, rolling his eyes a little.
You shut your laptop and grabbed it. “Nah, I’ll probably tell him I’m not wearing any panties” you said and his smile fell. “You guys like that, don’t you?” you said with a little smirk.
You turned on your heel and went to pack your stuff, unaware of how Felix’s eyes were raking all over your figure with curiosity.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
At the elevator, Felix stood with his back slumped against the wall while you checked if your lipstick was correctly applied in the mirror.
Felix let his eyes fly all over your figure and his hands fidgeted with the strap of his bag nervously.
“Do you need a ride?” he asked in a low tone that made your stupid stomach flutter. Felix knew you didn’t own a car, that you took the subway to get to work.
You didn’t even look at him, which made Felix even more nervous. “Nope. I am going to walk” you told him sharply, swiping your thumb one last time over the corner of your lips.
Felix sighed. “It’s raining, Cupcake” he reminded you. “I wouldn’t want your makeup to smear after you literally spent 22 minutes in the bathroom”
You looked at him and let out an irritated sigh. “Did you count the minutes I spent inside the bathroom? Does that sound normal to you?” you asked him and slowly approached him. “Has anyone ever told you that you tend to be a stalker?”
He snorted. “Says the girl that is literally giving me the serial killer eyes” he fired back.
“Yeah, it happens when I imagine myself strangling you, Felix Lee” you said to him, your eyebrows furrowing.
He looked at you with his eyes narrowed and then, out of the blue, he pressed the stop button of the elevator, making you stumble in your place at how abrupt the elevator came to a halt.
You gasped and looked at him with wide eyes. “God… calm down. I’m not really going to strangle you, I enjoy my freedom very much. What is your problem?” you asked in an exhaled voice, feeling your heartbeat quickening up its pace.
“What are we doing?” he asked loudly. “Seriously, what are we doing, Y/N?” he asked you, rather demandingly.
You shook your head, not really understanding. “I don’t know what you mean” you said quietly.
“This. This thing we have going on every single day. Being at each other’s throats like some kind of teenagers” Felix spat.
You shrugged. “The thing… being how we hate each other?” you asked slowly with an eyebrow arched.
He stayed silent for a couple of seconds. “Do you hate me?” Felix asked with a tone you couldn’t quite decipher.
You looked at him and your eyes involuntarily fell to his lips. He noticed. Of course he did.
Out of a sudden, his hand came to grab at the back of your neck, kissing the breath right out of you, making your breath hitch at the back of your throat and goosebumps erupted all over the skin of your back.
He pulled away and your eyes met, both of your lips tingling. Your brain was turned to mush, for sure, but you had only one thing on your mind.
Fuck it.
You grabbed the lapels of his jacket and pulled him back to your lips. He smirked into it and kissed you back hungrily, his hands falling to your waist, pulling you against the hard planes of his body. His hands gripped your hips tightly and your hands flew up to grasp the sides of his face as your lips continued dancing over each other’s.
Felix felt the urge to bite your bottom lip and tug on it, making you groan out. But the sound was soon muffled by his lips smacking back against yours as he delved his tongue inside your mouth once again.
You let out a yelp when you felt him turning you around and pressing you up against the elevator wall, his hands falling to your thighs so he could hoist you up without breaking the kiss. Your legs wrapped around his middle, bringing yourself closer to him. One of your heels fell from your feet onto the elevator floor, making you giggle into his mouth as you pulled away. He was quick to chase your lips.
You felt his tongue brushing over your bottom lip, slowly, like there wasn’t time or rush surrounding you and you opened them, letting it in as it twisted around with yours sensually.
Felix couldn’t help but groan into it, pressing his pelvis against your center and that’s when you gasped, feeling the tightness in his pants against you.
His lips moved hungrily against yours while his hands caressed your thighs as his hands had stayed there once he had found the softness of your skin. Meanwhile yours played with his hair, tugging at the black strands of hair while he groaned into your mouth encouraging you to keep doing that.
“Everything okay in there?” the voice of the front desk guy echoed through the speakers of the elevator, making you both gasp and pull away from the kiss and stare at each other in terror of being caught.
“Sorry” Felix said after a couple of seconds of staring at you, his lips red from the kiss. “I bumped into the button” he lied.
“All right” the front desk guy replied and the static noise went off.
He put you down and you felt shocked, to say the least, about what just happened between you two.
With widened eyes, you turned around to face the door and started giving yourself some self talk.
What… the actual fuck… was that?!
You touched your lips as you blinked yourself into reality.
He adjusted himself in his pants behind you, also trying to figure out what the hell had just happened.

𝐎𝐍𝐄 - 𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠
There used to be a period of your life, when you started working at Kim Publishing, that you loved your job with your entire being. You’ve always been kind of a bookworm, often called a nerd, and as soon as you finished school, you knew you wanted a job that related to your love for them.
Kim Publishing was your home, just like the owner, Kim Hwayoung, who felt like a stepmother to you. The company was known for its insistence on literature as art, just like you’ve always envisioned.
But that was until last year.
Your beloved company Kim Publishing sadly faced bankruptcy and was forced to merge with Bang Editorial, an evil empire with no vision on anything that Kim Publishing represented. Basically known for ghostwritten autobiographies of sports stars with brain damage.
That meant one thing: Bang Editorial workers had to move into the Kim Publishing building. In other words, war.
You’ve had to suffer from having co-workers being fired in front of you because, according to Bang Seojun, the CEO of Bang Editorials, they were a waste of money and space.
And that’s how you’ve met your nemesis: Felix Lee.
The bane of your existence.
Your reasons for hating him were various.
Reason One: You’ve seen him smile to everyone around you, showing kindness, except towards you.
Why? You never knew exactly why, to be honest. The minute you met him, knowing you’d be partnered to share the same office, your desks being right in front of each other, you decided to gift him some cupcakes, feeling like making a good impression on your new co-worker. You knew you’d be spending an awful lot of time around him, the least you could do was make him feel at home.
But Felix Lee just glanced at your face, grabbed the cupcake box and, wordlessly, walked towards the elevator, without sparing another glance at you.
You stood there that day in your place, feeling so dumb and asking yourself what the hell had you done wrong.
You’d ask your co-workers about him and they all said the same thing: he was lovely. He seemed to be so nice and kind and yet, he didn’t show not an ounce of niceness or kindness towards you. He was the exact opposite.
Reason Two: He’s a control freak.
His desk, unlike yours, was incredibly tidied. Every little thing had its place. You hated it, cause if somebody were to look at your desk, they would grimace and compare it to his. It wasn’t that yours was a mess, it’s just that his was likely comparable to American Psycho.
You always had fun walking towards his desk when he wasn’t around and messing around with his stuff, misplacing the stapler, moving the sticky notes or turning the pens on their other side. He’d turn around and absolutely know that everything was out of its place. Borderline psychopathic conduct.
The guy even wore the same shirts in the same order every fucking week. Who does that?
You had even memorized the pattern.
Monday: light grey.
Tuesday: white.
Wednesday: baby blue.
Thursday: sky blue.
Friday: royal blue.
So predictable, you always thought every time he arrived at the office with the same shirts on the same day.
Reason Three: He always corrects any tiny mistake you make.
You’d give him reports and he’d hand them back to you all scribbled over with a sharp red marker, to give you some sort of consciousness of your mistakes (his words, not yours).
Reason Four: Probably the most important one. After the merger, he came up with a list of people to fire, making Bang Seojun almost come in his pants from the excitement it gave him saving money, and it included all of your co-workers and friends.
Who were kind of all of the friends you had, if you were being honest.
It made your skin crawl just how unaffected by the whole thing he was, just flawlessly walking around with his stupid freckles and stupid black hair, always so perfectly combed.
Felix Lee seemed like the perfect guy with his charms and freckles from the outside, but don’t let him fool you.
You were convinced he was the actual devil in disguise.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
It was a bright day and you only hoped it would mean no actual death threats thrown around between you and Felix. It would happen eventually, you just always hoped it would be the exception.
When you stepped out of the elevator, you saw Kim Hwayoung, your boss (or well, one of your bosses as Bang Seojun was unfortunately one of them too) walking towards her office.
“Good morning, Hwayoung” you bowed handing her a report.
“Good morning, dear Y/N” she smiled at you, grabbing the papers you handed to her. “Has Bang seen this?” she asked, her eyes curiously roaming all over the papers.
“Well, I’ve emailed it to Felix so, I assume, yes” you nodded, following her.
“Hmm, and what about that book from the actress. Did Bang turn it down like we assumed he would?” Hwayoung asked, opening the door of her office and walking inside.
You stepped inside and shut the door behind you. “Suspiciously, no. He didn’t. I’m kind of assuming he didn’t really pay attention to the long ass email you sent to him” you shrugged.
“Sounds like Bang Seojun” Hwayoung sighed, wiping a hand over her face in exhaustion. “We need to step up and make sure that girl gets a spot in our editorial. We can’t lose her to the testosterone that seems to run in this place”
“Yeah, I’m on it” you nodded immediately, completely agreeing with her.
“That’s why you’re my favourite” she winked at you. “Would you be a darling and tell Lia to bring me a coffee on your way out? I’m not stressed today yet but I feel like it’s gonna be one hell of a day already, and please tell her to leave it by the meeting room”
You chuckled and nodded. “Of course, Hwayoung” you smiled at the elderly woman. “See you in a few”
She blew you a kiss and opened her computer to start working. You stepped out of the office and went to the coffee area, where you knew you’d find Lia, Hwayoung’s assistant.
“Hey, Lia! Hwayoung just asked me if you could bring her coffee and leave it in the meeting room?”
“Hi, Y/N. Sure!” she kindly smiled and immediately went to make some coffee.
“Y/N! Y/N!” a familiar voice came from behind you and you refrained yourself from rolling your eyes.
You turned around and plastered on a fake smile on your face. “Hey Soyeon. How are you?” you said, grabbing a cookie from the tray that was on the counter.
She bit her lip and sighed. “I just wanted to ask you for a small favor” she started with a pout.
Oh my God, here we go.
“I need more time for the monthly report, you know?” Soyeon said as she followed your walk towards the meeting room. “My nephew ate peanut butter yesterday, and he’s kind of allergic to it. I have to go take care of him at the hospital and- it’s just been so stressful” Soyeon faked being fed up with her supposed life story. “Could you please be a sweetheart and just give me a little bit more time?”
You knew she was faking. But you didn’t have it in yourself to say no to her, or anyone for that matter. Quote Taylor Swift, you were a pathological people pleaser.
“Sure” you smiled, wanting to grab your hair and just rip it off. “Of course”
Soyeon sighed and smiled at you. “You’re the best, It will be ready on Monday… or Wednesday at the latest” she said and walked away before you could even utter a word. With a sigh, you bit at your cookie and rolled your eyes at your incapability of saying no to Soyeon.
You were about to step inside the meeting room when you caught Felix, staring at you with that characteristic smile on his face.
“That… was pathetic” he said.
“Don’t project yourself on me, alright?” you grumbled, crossing your arms over your chest.
“You know, Y/N. You could have her do her job” Felix said, stepping closer towards you. “But no… you always have to be the good guy”
“Well-” you shrugged. “It’s so much better than being the asshole, isn’t it?”
Felix snorted and rolled his eyes with a smirk.
“Oh, and by the way” you said before stepping inside the meeting room. “Your tie is crooked”
Felix’s eyes widened and looked down at his tie. His tie, that was sitting perfectly on his chest.
You gave him a smirk and walked into the meeting room.
He just pressed his tongue on his inner cheek and followed suit.
“Oh, Y/N, Felix. So glad you guys are here” Kim Hwayoung greeted you as you sat next to her and Felix right next to his CEO, Bang Seojun. “Mr. Bang and I have an announcement we want to make. We’re adding a new position to the team!” she said happily.
“Yeah” Bang Seojun nodded. “We’re adding a managing director, that will oversee each department, and he will pass that report to me”
Hwayoung rolled her eyes. “He or she will pass the report to both of us” she stated, still wearing her kind smile and Bang Seojun just nodded along.
“The job is open to external applicants, of course, but… I would very much like to hire from within” Bang Seojun smirked at Felix.
“Yeah, and we’re putting up an independent panel since we don’t always agree” Hwayoung eyed Seojun from across the table. “They will be the judge of it”
“You have… about a month and a half” Seojun said, eyeing his papers lying on the desk. “May the best man win!”
“Or woman” Hwayoung pointed out, raising her manicured finger up.
“Or woman, yeah” Bang Seojun nodded and Hwayoung rolled her eyes again.
You looked at Felix who was already staring at you wearing his infamous smirk.
You’re on, Felix Lee. You are so on.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
“The job is mine, cupcake” he scolded you, as you made yourself tea.
“Oh, your confidence is compelling but you forgot one tiny little detail” you said, feigning innocence.
Felix just arched his eyebrows. “And what’s that?” he asked with a smile, amused.
“Everyone hates you” You simply stated and turned around, walking towards the elevator with the cup of tea in hand.
“Oh, they don’t hate me. They fear me, which makes me very effective for my job” he said, following you.
You chuckled. “You know, the day that I’ll be your boss. I will require you to smile at me at least every once in two minutes” you grumbled at him.
He walked next to you as he laughed. “When I’m your boss, I’m going to give you so much work, you’ll start using the office as your home address” he stated, firing back at you.
“When I’m your boss, I’m going to impose casual Fridays” you said and pressed the elevator button. “Hawaiian shirts mandatory”
“When I’m your boss, I’m going to implement a new dress code. No more looking like an elementary school librarian” he said, walking inside the elevator right behind you.
You scoffed and looked at him. “If you get the job, I’ll resign”
Felix pulled a shocked face on him. “Really?” he asked, surprised.
“Just like you will if I do” you said to him and narrowed your eyes.
“I don’t quit” Felix said to you with a chuckle.
“All right. Then, I’ll fire you” you fired back at him.
“Ah… but I’m incapable of giving you that pleasure” Felix smirked.
“Aww, it’s not the first time you’ve said that to a woman, isn’t it?” you asked him, with a grimace.
Felix snorted and looked away, shaking his head.
“So we agree, then” you said with a smug smirk and he looks back at you, his eyes full of a certain emotion you couldn’t quite pinpoint. “If one of us gets the job, the other one has to quit”
“Fine. Agreed” he said, sure of himself that he was going to be the one getting that job.
The doors of the elevator opened and you stepped inside your office. You saw that Wooyoung, your co-worker, one of the few people that weren’t fired from the merger, was waiting by your desk with an excited smile.
“Oh, hey Wooyoung!” you smiled at him with a wave, your eyebrows raising up at his presence.
“Hi, Y/N. I’m bringing some delivery for you” he smiled at you, handing you a book.
You gasped, immediately recognising it. “Oh! The new book” you smiled widely at him. “That’s so nice of you, thank you”
Wooyoung worked in editing and even though he wasn’t technically your friend, you two had a very good relationship. Ever since all of your friends were fired, Wooyoung was kind of like the only person you found you could trust, besides Hwayoung. You tried to keep him close to you ever since the merger.
“The designers made copies in advance, it’s not that big of a deal, so…” he shrugged, walking closer to you, trying to contain the smile that was trying to creep into his face from your words.
Felix sat by his desk and narrowed his eyes at the scene unfolding in front of him.
You looked at the cover and frowned immediately. “Oh shit. Is this the cover?” you grimaced, showing the book to Wooyoung.
Wooyoung let out a frustrated sigh and nodded. “Yeah, I’m sorry. Bang Seojun made us do it” he shrugged, clearly annoyed as well.
“The book is about archeology, what the hell is this?” you stared at the book with a cover with a girl in it. “Did he even read the back cover?”
“I seriously doubt it” Wooyoung replied slowly. “I wouldn’t be surprised if he didn’t”
“Do you, Y/N?” Felix asked and you found his gaze. “I mean, I was sure you didn’t even know how to read so…”
“First grader insults, great job, Felix” You said with sarcasm, give him a thumbs up.
“Okay… I’m out of here” Wooyoung said, noticing that you were about to get each other's throats. Again.
“Bye, Woo” you smiled.
“Bye, Y/N. Bye, Felix”
Felix didn’t reply and just grabbed some papers from his desk before sitting on his chair and looking at the now empty corridor.
“That poor sap thinks you’re flirting with him” Felix bit his lip, shaking his head. “How sad”
“The same way people think you’re flirting with me?” You asked him, raising an eyebrow.
“Cupcake, if I was flirting with you, you’d know” he smirked, confidently.
“I didn’t know losers knew how to flirt, but here we are” You said, typing away on your computer.
You saw him sigh and grab a journal from a drawer, and with a red marker, scribble something inside it and close it. He left it there and opened his computer.
Your eyes shifted down to your hands and gnawed at your lip. You were now curious at what the hell was that thing where he just scribbled something random with a red marker on a journal.
Before you could think it through, Bang Seojun came into your office with a smug smile. “Hello, my hardworking people” he said, and you knew he had to refrain from calling you slaves.
“Hi, Mr. Bang. I have a copy of the new book for you” you said, grabbing the book that Wooyoung had handed you.
“Ah!” Seojun yelped and walked towards you, grabbing the book. “Dr. Lee, you didn’t tell me it was ready” Seojun said, eyeing the book proudly. “The cover was all me, you know?” Bang Seojun looked way too proud of the god-awful cover.
“Y-yeah” you nodded, scratching your head in an awkward manner. “It’s um… it’s definitely eye-catching” you stammered, obviously finding it very hard to lie.
“Yeah” Seojun chuckled. “Did you send the emails I told you to send, Dr. Lee?”
“Yep. Already did” Felix nodded, without sparing him a glance.
Bang Seojun smiled contently and patted the book with his palm, before leaving it on your desk. “Great. See you kids later” Seojun said and left the office.
“Bye… dick” you whispered that last part under your breath.
“Did you just refer to the cover as eye-catching?” Felix said, with laughter hiding in his voice. “It looks like it was designed by a horny fifth-grader. Not exactly delivering knowing it’s a book about the diary of an archeologist, but whatever”
You pulled your face back, taken aback by the information he had just provided. “Since when do you read the books we publish?” you asked him, narrowing your eyes.
Felix shrugged. “I always do it. Plus, I felt the book was so boring, I fell asleep three times reading the first page” he said, placing his macbook inside his bag.
You snorted and stood up from your chair, grabbing your purse. “Well, it’s tiring to read above your level of education” you fired back. “Maybe you aren’t ready for chapter books just yet”
“It was boring, Y/N!” Felix defended himself, standing up to grab his coat from the hanger.
“It was a masterpiece, and then Bang Seojun had to go and cut like 200 pages from it, with the sole excuse that he wanted it to be more of an ‘airport read’” you scoffed, putting on your coat and placing your purse on your desk. “Which is totally ridiculous. He’s just trying to mask that he doesn’t have enough IQ to actually interpret what the author is saying”
“Just admit it, cupcake. It was boring” Felix said, giving you a look.
“Whatever” you rolled your eyes and walked towards the elevator with your stuff, Felix following you behind.
“So… any plans for the weekend?” He asked with a long breath. “Probably your usual right? Watching a cringey romantic comedy while eating something greasy out of a can?”
You scoffed and let out a little laugh. “And what about the Lee’s? Drinking the blood of a virgin and then staring at each other in silence?” you arched an eyebrow at him.
“Ugh, how did you know? We’re looking for donations” Felix said and you were both startled when Ms. Choi came into the elevator.
Ms. Choi as soon as she saw them, let out a huff.
“Oh, hi, Ms. Choi! You look spectacular today” you smiled at her. “Love those earrings”
“Don’t even try” Ms. Choi cut you off. “I’ve got four complaints this week. FOUR. Three alone about the break room incident on Monday” she fumed.
Oh. Yeah.
That… was…
MONDAY:
It was supposed to be a tranquil day that Monday, until Felix Lee had decided to give you shit for some mistakes you had made while typing the report you were supposed to send to him. He had managed to find you coincidentally in the break room… where everyone was supposed to be enjoying just that, their break.
“Ready for our lesson?” Felix said loudly, grabbing a donut from a box, cutting it in half and showing it to you, making you gasp. “This is a coma-“ he said and then grabbed a munchkin. “And this is a period, which is a point” he mansplained to you. “Do you know how to use it? Do you?-“
“Put that donut away or I’m gonna shove it up so far up your ass, the damn surgeons are gonna have to cut you in half to take it off!” You yelled at him, banging your hand against the table of the break room, making every single person there turn their heads to look at you.
“Aww, wouldn’t you like that, cupcake?” he teased you, pouting out his lip.
PRESENT DAY:
Yeah. So…
“Mommy and daddy fight sometimes” Felix explained to Ms. Choi.
“Yeah, we have discussions” you smiled with sarcasm.
“Like when Mommy has typos similar to a fourth grader and Daddy has to step up and correct her like a goddamned teacher” Felix said with a fake neutral voice.
“Or how Daddy has a cork up his ass and sometimes needs to yell at Mommy to decompress” you said between your teeth.
Ms. Choi looked at you with a disgusted face. “Mommy and daddy? Are you two for real?” she scoffed. “You two are the worst part of my job…”
You felt like hugging Mr. Choi and apologising.
It wasn’t her fault that Felix Lee had to be the bane of your existence.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You got home at around 7 pm and about an hour later, when you were already showered and ready to make some dinner, your mother called you.
“Hey momma. How’s London going?” You asked her, sitting on the couch and crossing your legs.
“Oh, you know… same old usual” she tried to make you feel better.
You scoffed at her. “Mom. I’m sure London’s a thousand times better than Seoul. Less people, less flashy lights, and on top of all that, you’re there on a long ass vacation”
“Fine, fine. London’s amazing” she giggled. “I didn’t realise just how much I missed this place”
“Well, I’m glad to hear it” you smiled. “Did you, at least, buy me something nice?”
Your mother gasped. “Y/N! Of course I did. What kind of mom would I be if I didn’t?” she answered like she was offended. “I bought you a snow globe, the one you told me you wanted, and a few baby tees that you girls use nowadays with an I Love London on it”
“Great” you chuckled.
“What about you?”
“Huh?” you blinked a couple of times.
“How are you doing? Are you doing something today? You know, Friday night and all?” she asked you.
How do you tell your mom that your life is incredibly bland and dull without sounding like a pathetic loser?
“Um, yeah. It’s- I’m taking this Friday out so I can go on a full party mode for tomorrow” you lied easily. “Me and the girls are going out for drinks and then- then we’re going to a party”
“Oh, whose party?” she asked excitedly, sounding like a teenager.
Shit. “Wooyoung’s” you shrugged, thinking of the first name that came to your mind.
“I see… Any lucky guy we should worry about?” Your mother asked, knowing she was smirking on the other side of the line.
You scoffed. “Wow, you’re getting ahead of yourself!”
“Come on, tell me! You never tell me anything!”
“No… I was seeing this guy but… we broke up like four months ago. And that’s it” You told her with a sad smile.
“Aw, my baby. I’m sure there are plenty of fish in the ocean” she told you.
“Yeah, well… it’s not that easy to find a good one”
“What about that guy from work?” Your mom asked.
You raised an eyebrow. “Who? Felix?” you asked with a grimace, though she couldn’t see it.
“Honey, you talk about him all the time” your mom chuckled.
“I do not! I literally despise the guy with all my being” you said in a whiny pitched voice. “We’ve had endless conversations about how much I hate him”
“Yeah, sure, sweetheart”
“You don’t believe me” you stated, it wasn’t a question.
“Oh, no. It’s not that I don’t believe you. I don’t think you don’t believe yourself when you say those things about Felix” she explained.
“Alright, um… I’m gonna- I’m gonna go watch a movie or something. I think this conversation is done”
Your mom let out a cackle. “Okay, honey. Make sure to call me at least once this weekend” she said.
“Yes, Mom. I will”
“Bye, I love you!” your mom called out.
“Bye, love you lots” you said and hung up the phone.
With a sigh, you rolled your shoulders back, letting your bones crack and started preparing dinner for yourself.
Once you sat down on the couch with a bowl of pasta and put on some crappy reality show to watch on TV, your mind couldn’t help but drift over to Felix and the whole deal you had made.
You just hoped to God your strategy would work, otherwise, the thought of leaving Hwayoung alone with Bang Seojun would eat you alive for life. You wouldn’t forgive yourself.
But on top of all, you wouldn’t let Felix win. You couldn’t. Over your dead body.
⠈⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄⠄⠂⠁⠁⠂⠄
You pressed your head on the pillow with a tired sigh.
After a couple of minutes of trying to find a comfortable position, you kicked the covers off of you, seeking some air and comfort over your legs.
All of a sudden, you felt a pair of hands placing themselves on the sides of your head and a body pressing itself against your back.
You gasped and pushed back against the hard and warm body. You felt your breath picking up its rhythm as you felt a hand running over your leg. The presence felt awfully familiar.
“You make me so fucking hard” the man said, and it made you moan lowly, recognising his voice. “You know that?”
Felix’s hand drifted over to the front of your shorts and pressed his fingers over your clit. You squeezed your legs around his hand and moaned brokenly, your feet kicking the mattress.
Your breath became more ragged as his fingers started drawing tight circles over your clothed core.
“Felix…” you moaned, kicking your head back in pleasure. “Please…”
“Please what?” his deep and sexy voice boomed in your ears, making you clench around nothing. It sounded like a tease, like he always did.
“Touch me…”
He chuckled and the sound vibrated all over your body.
“Wake up, baby”
With a gasp, you sat up and looked around, feeling your heart beating out of your chest. With a few blinks, you realised that you were indeed alone in your room and one of your hands was neatly placed in between your legs, pressing against your bundle of nerves.
Your hand flew away from there and you frowned, your knees flexing so you could press your forehead on them.
Felix would not leave you alone, even in your dreams.
You slumped back on the bed, your head hitting the pillow furiously.
