fun strawbana wedding headcanons

yang plans the strawbana wedding, and it was run with like a military precision. no one was gonna fuck up ruby’s wedding. the wedding itself followed a lot of chinese (or mistrali / remnant chinese ) traditions with ruby being half chinese and sun being fully chinese

she also was the maid of honour. weiss was the Top Bridesmaid

blake fought neptune for the title of best man. she won bc she had a spray bottle and wasnt afraid to use it

the wedding cake had miniatures of their weapons in place of the traditional bride and groom on their wedding cake

taiyang’s gift to sun was the traditional dad cargo pants. treasure them, sun son in law

the belladonnas were there in place of sun’s family as they weren’t alive, they’d grown really close over the course of his and blake’s friendship

much like taiyang gave sun a gift, ghira gave ruby a gift ; a cactus with a flower atop ( and told her that sun said it reminded him of her )

ruby looked amazing in her wedding dress and sun totally saw her before they were meant to be married, and neither of them really cared? they were just happy and excited and wanted to see each other

yang on the other hand nearly had a heart attack. weiss too

so much food. luckily sun and ruby invited practically all of beacon and haven, as well as others from the other kingdoms so, there was no issue with getting it all eaten

the night was ended with a fireworks display, in red and yellow
