I hope that shawols are really, really, ready for the aftermath of SHINee’s Dome concerts. I’m specifically thinking about Jinki and Taemin, as they are baits these days for criticism.
There is no trouble free outcome for Jinki’s appearance and I hope we are all ready to support him to the fullest.
No matter how much we’d like it to be untrue, the fact is that Jinki’s reputation is very shaken in South Korea, and pretending this isn’t an issue won’t help at all. Even before the concerts, there’s heavy criticism and opposition of him showing himself publicly on a stage.
Every action he will do, will be overanalyzed and used against him.
If he cries, are emotional, it’s a opportunity to bait him as faking it, doing it to gain sympathy, using Jonghyuns passing as means of getting people to forgive him.
If he on the other hand keeps a brave face through the entire thing, people will just turn it around to him being cold, not caring, only doing it for money.
So I want shawols to really, really stick together to support him, because he needs it more than ever, still. For him, there’s not only the emotional aspect of pulling himself together to go through with a show without his beloved friend and brother Jonghyun, but also the immense pressure of receiving criticism for every action he does.
And we must not overlook this, thinking “haters can hate”, because, there is a lot of opposition against him no matter how we look at it. We need to take the problem serious, he really needs everything we can offer him.
As some may know, Onew withdrawal petitions are still going strong till this day, and searching his name or shinee on sites like Naver, his withdrawal is still top trending topic. Large shinee support groups like shasase, with a huge following, are also loud and clear opposing of his presence in the entertainment business, and, are especially pulling the ‘he’s doing all this to get sympathy card’ - his letter regarding the dome concerts were highly criticized, many shawols using the argument he was mentioning Jonghyuns mother only for his own gain.
We know these are all lies and words of antis, and not ‘real shawols’ but we need to accept the fact that the ‘fake shawols’ are a huge part in k-fandom and that it’s emotionally and mentally straining on him, because these organizations are loud and has the power to reach korean media and reach shinee. So I sincerely don’t want people to just brush it off as ‘haters gonna hate’.
It’s a serious issue, and we need to work hard to support him.
As for Taemin some of you may know that he has been heavily criticized by the general korean public and k-fandom for his appearance at Jonghyuns funeral, as well as his letter, reaching to the point that a Taemin withdrawal trend search has reached up alongside Jinki’s.
I want everyone to remember that Taemin has mentioned before he does not like to showcase his tears publicly, no matter how emotionally affected he is. Taemin’s grief is not something anyone should demand to be showcased for our own selfish satisfaction. As Zion.T said, they do not grieve to get their pictures taken.
If Taemin does not show any significant signs of mourning, and will blast through these concert stages with a smile, that is his way of coping.
But it will undoubtedly receive criticism, so I wanted to mention this as well, so shawols are prepared to support them to their fullest, not only with going through the concerts, but the unavoidable backlash there will come with it.
Theres many possible outcomes in terms of how little or how big this aftermath will be, but remember that for Jinki personally, a entirely good outcome isn’t possible. Even shawols who found comfort in his Instagram message, and shawols who accepted that he’s going to participate in the concerts, still stands by the fact they won’t support him. And as long as this can happen quietly, we are in no position to make anyone support an idol they feel uncomfortable with. But the chances of the opposition to go quietly is, in reality, close to zero.
Please protect our boys; please spread support everywhere you can during this time. We cannot shut the haters down, but what we can do is make our love and support louder than their hate. Don’t stay quiet with your support. SHINee needs it more than ever. Spread the love. Support them loudly. Kill out all the negative noise some people tries to spread.
We love them, let that be the loudest message.
I tend to make a few text posts somtimes on here, which gains a lot of attention. Now this one is one you’d like to reblog to spread, because many simply aren’t aware of how important their input and support on this is.
