do you have a film or show you watched so much as a child, it practically stepped in as another parent to raise you? because that’s the exact relationship i had with the matrix, and i wanted nothing more in my young life than to be like neo. watching it still has the same effect on me even in adulthood, spurring on the need to wear leather and black trench coats. the sweltering temperatures we have in the uk don’t exactly lend to that being the most comfortable attire, but i’ve never let a little weather get in the way of childhood whimsy. so if you see me stalking around london, covered from head to toe in black, i promise that i haven’t lost my mind. i’m just trying to impress my younger self all these years later. @limelightblvdstarters

i'm not even trying to be quirky when i say the first two shrek movies. even as a tiny tot, i was a movie critic and hated the third but those two were comforts for me. whenever i hit an uncomfortable moment in life or just faced any stress a normal six year old faced, i turned them on. i don't know if i particularly learned anything meaningful from them but, i've seen them just as much as i've seen my parents in life, i'm so sure.
