Catching up and seeing Spinel's pony story might not get finished. On one hand I deeply feel like Flannel doesn't deserve happiness, on the other, Petal making him her bottom bitch who will never escape or ever look elsewhere is nice, I imagine Flannel does get some deep punishment for what he did, and I hoped it would be severe but I'd like to ask what you had in mind for him even if it's not a perfect end, not everyone eats karma as much as we want them to.

I had this whole idea of Petal absolutely whaling into him that the husband serves the bride and that he is bound to her, both discovering she has a lot of pent up anger and frustration but that she also actually gets quite a thrill out of putting her husband in his place.

He was found out because of Pitch and Spinel blackmailing him to the point of noticeable distress which his guard friend recognized and insisted on getting involved. That was how his friend discovered his cheating and insisted on telling Petal. Flannel was not welcome in his own home for a good while and had to live with the neighbors for a bit while Petal sought out advice for what to do and tried to understand what went wrong. She then insists on couple's therapy and from there realizes how much Flannel loves her but how much he hates himself, and she learns more about his needs and interests and confides in the neighbors on how to better match Flannel's desires.

she was never really meant to learn about the situation with Spinel's age, she never got that context so it's not like she's forgiving him for such a thing, and you are right plenty of people don't face full karma.

I've had these two sketches for the longest time that I was hoping would be released eventually

Petal's theme song based around Flannel would be "Empire" by Shakira so I drew her in a scene from the music video

IMO, blurring the lines between “I’m defending them because they’re right” and “I’m defending them because you’re taking this too far” is step numero uno to cutting down the very existence of fair trial and democracy–even in places where saying that might seem a little dramatic. 

Mob mentality is extremely strong in humans and it’s also extremely dangerous. Mobs don’t think things through. Mobs kill and they destroy and they can’t be reasoned with. Someone trying to calm a mob down isn’t someone defending the ~problematic party~ It’s time we re-learn that.

Info: In Leporia, all bunnies are born with basic magic and one unique ability. Magic and abilities can be improved with study and training. There are 5 species of bunnyfolk. (Note: the body types can apply to any of the species) Rabbits: Rabbits with no extra features. They have the most energy and stamina out of all the bunnies, and are the most likely to make fast friends with others. Jackalopes: Bunnies with antlers. They’re usually the faster more athletic species. Often times very competitive and stubborn. Worpletingers: With horns, fang-like tusks, and wings, these guys can glide and fly at low altitudes. Tend to be nervous and easily startled, often neurotic. Try not to get them drunk, they can get really wild and destructive. Puca: Shapeshifting bunnies. They all have a cat or dog tail, and can change in to a small selection of feral animals that are black in color. They’re generally very quick and clever thinkers, and have a mischievous nature. Skvader: Rabbits with large wings and feathers of varying bird types. They can fly at higher altitudes. They tend to be more timid and flighty, sometimes even absent minded and impulsive. Often seen as having their heads in the clouds. Almiraj: Incubus/Succubus bunnies who have a single gnarled horn, fangs, and a glowing belly where they store the affectionate/intimate energy they feed on. Usually have to hide in a different species form since cubi are new and misunderstood. Become aggressive when starving.

Is Drifter's knack affecting all methods of communication or can he have a break and be honest through letters and/or sign language? Otherwise his life sounds extremely lonely and he must have had a rough childhood.

As long as he's not giving a perceived command, he can talk fine with others. He's had to learn to be very careful not to say anything that sounds like a command. But it's difficult so he doesn't socialize often if he doesn't have to.

It only works through spoken word though, he can say whatever in writing.

When he got his knack was a pretty traumatic event in his life because he didn't understand why begging not to be hurt wasn't working until he asked for death

Are all knacks self-imposing, or do people have control of them in a literal sense (not learned to work with how they tick)? Like if a bunny could enchant food, will they *always* enchant it when they bake?

There are 4 base types of knacks that are split into two categories

Types of Knacks: Live, Passive/Inward, Radial

Knacks are generalized under these four categories, taking one trait from each set. So a rabbit will have either a live or passive knack, that is then either inward or radial.

Live: These are knacks that are activated by choice, the rabbit has full control of their knack and when it's used. IE: Breathing fire, altering food, healing others

Passive: These knacks are active at all times and are out of the rabbit's control, often being some kind of rule. IE: Restricted diet, sleep habits, 6th sense

Inward: Knacks that affect the physical body or self in some way but not others. IE: Self healing, extra limbs, super strength

Radial: These knacks affect the environment and/or people/things around them. IE: Contagious itching, Being on time, compelling others

So Drifter's knack is a Passive Radial knack

His knack seems kinda dangerous in the wrong hands. Did Drifter need some kinda special counselling when it was discovered? How'd his parents (and/or Professor) get around it?

There are special knack counselors that exist and even knack care teams depending on the knack. There was a time where he most definitely pushed boundaries but most rabbits are fairly well behaved, and in general no matter if he reaches his goals, everyone hates him for it. It's one of those knacks that's considered detrimental to the user because he can't really say what he wants and even the kindest words can be met with anger and violence.

He's really isolated himself from his family and everyone else because he doesn't want to turn the ones he loves against him just for saying the wrong thing.

Drifter Harington, vigilante with a knack for reverse psychology, meaning anything perceived from him as a demand will be violently opposed to. He's had to adapt to a life where a simple slip of the tongue could have someone furious at him over nothing. It helps to make the anger feel more justified, so he purposefully comes off as cruel and rude because it ultimately hurts less than him being lashed out at for being nice.
