So yesterday I went ahead and did a stupid.
Lil old me got a bit too sure of myself while whittling and let my attention drift off of my knife. Needless to say I got myself right in the meat of my left thumb, and it hurts to move my left hand now. No knitting, or gaming for me for a while 😓

What game feels like "home" to you no matter when you come back to it?

This will come as no surprise to anyone, but the answer is BoTW. I’ll take breaks, play different games, do other activities, but when I need to de-stress I pick up BoTW. Hang out in the villages, sit next to the Divine Beasts, listen to the music. The atmosphere in this game is just so soothing. It has also opened up a whole franchise to explore!
I may not have grew up with this game. Though I’m glad I pick both BoTW and AoC up on a whim back in 2021. I wish I had picked it up sooner. The genre, the sense of whimsy, is exactly where I want to be. BoTW will always be in my go to games from now on.

Yo! Hey Gee, thank you for the ask!
Tiril is still a relatively new oc, and was created to be my sona, so I don't have many fine details laid out just yet. For reference it took me around two years to start cracking down on Salem's story. Most of what I do have are roughly translated parts of my own life, and tidbits, tweaked to fit more in line with BoTW's setting. I look forward to exploring them more as a character though!
I do want to note that I default to they/them for Tiril, but it's completly fine to use other pronouns for them! I like to see how other people perceive them!
I don't really know when in BoTW's timeline I want to place them; whether it be post or pre-calamity
Tiril was raised in Central Hyrule and was expressly discouraged from learning how to fly
Has had a number of family pets when growing up
They've injured their knees and hocks on several occasions throughout their youth
Tiril has hypermobile joints
Had an emo phase as a teen; some of their outfit and accessory choices still reflect this style
Tiril is far sighted in their right eye and near sighted in their left
Their crest feathers grow out to be impractically long, so Tiril cuts them to a more reasonable length after every molt
Socializing is difficult for them, so they give gifts to express friendship to compensate ( mostly in the form of home made sweet treats and baked goods)
They enjoy most genres of music, but are partial to hard rock and alt metal
Lives in Rito Village as an adult aiding those who need extra support in their day to day lives
I don't know if this is exactly the kind of lore/ info you were interested in learning, but it's what I have at the moment! Tiril is but one of thirty Rito I've designed thus far...
